By Johnshaft on Saturday, August 14, 2004 - 12:02 pm:  Edit

Yeah, see her all the time these days. It's a man -- but a man who'd "clean up" in San Francisco.

And as far as safety goes, I've fallen asleep many times on help girls, and I've never been ripped. One time I woke up, comfortable, and in my pajamas. Imagine that!

By Bendejo on Saturday, August 14, 2004 - 03:36 pm:  Edit

Brings to mind a favorite San Francisco joke.
Q: Why don't the blondes in SF wear miniskirts?
A: Because then you could see their balls.

Robbery attempt: careful with this one!!

Photo: 2004 Thief 1
Picture from last December

Photo: 2004 Thief 2

I think WickedWilly might have more recent pictures of her with fire engine red Hair.

She has been here a bunch of times before.

On Tuesday, she rang on my door. I opened. I saw 2 shady guys charge towards my door. So I slammed the door shut, they kicked the door, it almost broke. But they heard me yelling to my laborers "call the police" and figured it was better to call it quits.

By Mello89 on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 - 09:43 pm:  Edit

If they don't arrest her for attempted robbery; hopefully, they'll cite her for wreckless chewing.

By Hunterman on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 - 10:37 pm:  Edit

Deborah! One of my did-her-twices. Worked for Madame X last winter. (Touche, Mello, but the ugly teeth didn't get in the way of her skills.)

She USED TO BE a sweet garota. Just shows how people can change, and how we can't be careful enough. I know BS is extremely aware as well as security-oriented (he's way ahead of most of us), and she had him fooled....

By Sandman on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 - 03:40 am:  Edit

Damn. That sucks. I think she hangs out at Help also.

Just curious, did the police make it or did you call the portiero when they left?

By SF_Hombre on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 - 04:38 am:  Edit

Egads! Seeing that photo, I do believe I would have slammed the door in her face even if she was alone...

By Kenn on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 - 05:18 am:  Edit

BS she is not really your type anyway.... glad to see you're still on your toes..

By Brazil_Specialist on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 - 05:28 am:  Edit

well she has a killer body and is pretty decent in the sack.

When she keeps her mouth closed and when you don't see her vampire tooth, she actually looks quite pretty.

I just decided to post photos with her mouth open, as this helps to identify her.

The guys left before I could notify any door man.

Yes, the police came in 5 minutes but that was too late. It might be better to just let things be.

Of course, I could be macho all the way, have her arrested etc. Not sure if that would be useful.

Of course, they don't mess so much with Brazilians, because a Brazilian might just spend a few hundred R$ to get her killed.

By Safado69 on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 - 05:40 am:  Edit

Glad you're OK, BS. This sucks, big time. Try to get her pictures posted as widely as possible. You should print some copies and post them around Help, and tell the management of Help about her.

By Roadglide on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 - 03:41 pm:  Edit

I'm glad that nobody got hurt, but the question has to be asked....Why did this girl show up at your door with two leg breakers in tow?

By Thumper on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 - 04:47 pm:  Edit

Why didnt you kick the shit out of your doorman for not calling you and telling you that 2 men and a girl were coming up to your apartment?

Also, is it legal to own a handgun in your home? With some of the shady people in Brasil, I would think that most people would have one.

I've definitely seen that garota at the Terrace a handful of times. What's the deal with your door man letting in two guys with a garota enter without your knowledge?

By SF_Hombre on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 - 05:25 pm:  Edit

She probably smiled at the doorman and he ran away scared!

"Egads! Seeing that photo, I do believe I would have slammed the door in her face even if she was alone..."

This is coming from a dude that has 2 of his highest rated photos with a pic of some chick face down on a mattress and another with a wrestling mask on. Et TU, Brute!

By Tight_fit on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 - 11:34 pm:  Edit

Haha. Porker, do I get a feeling of revenge from all the flack your photos have received compared to out of focus, faceless, and often shapeless Rio pictures that get high 7s?

By Wickedwilly on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 - 11:59 pm:  Edit

I was surprised when BS told me the story, she was not the best looking of girls, but was always sweet when I saw her. She did turn up late in my trip with a friend who I did not feel comfortable with, so maybe she is mixing with bad company. I have posted some pictures of her in the latest installement of my recent trip, her hair has changed even since these photos.

By SF_Hombre on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 02:24 am:  Edit

Sorry, Porker. I didn't mean to step on your toes. Who among us hasn't been totally thrilled to look at the 150 pix you've posted, ALL of which were rated at 4 or below. Now I think I understand why you think the blond above is a fine example of female beauty.

By Porker on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 04:37 pm:  Edit

Just pointing out your asinine comment that I quoted was pretty ironic considering your lack of balls in posting face pics yourself. Based on your reply, I guess it stung. Good.

By SF_Hombre on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 07:26 pm:  Edit

More surprised/annoyed than stung, Porker, because I thought the photos of the blond in question showed a snaggletoothed plank skank. I respect your right to disagree.

By Porker on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 07:31 pm:  Edit

Obviously you're entitled to your opinion, but if you can tell me ANYTHING good that comes from ripping some other guy's pics, I'd love to hear it? Best to just shut up and keep the opinion to yourself?

By Safado69 on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 07:50 pm:  Edit

I don't think that a person's failure to post face pics is evidence of lack of balls. It may well simply mean that the girl requested that pics of her face not be posted. If that's the case, I think you have to respect the poster's actions, not accuse him of being testicularly challenged.

Be nice, boys.

By Dongringo on Thursday, October 21, 2004 - 09:00 pm:  Edit

Me thinks Porker may never have had to deal with the nasty repercussions of a mad latina in his face for posting her nude on the web w/out her permission.

Could that possibly be true Porker?

PS
I'm STILL glad that SFHombre chose not to post those 'headless' pics of his cross-dressing tranny he had up to his room.

By Thumper on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 - 07:37 pm:  Edit

I'm sorry BS but you owe it to the people on the board to do alot more about the situation (where the young lady is concerned) This female brought two men to your apartment to do Lord knows what to you. You could easily have ended up with a bullet in your head! And all you want to do is scare her?

One simple fact that I think everyone on this board is overlooking, is that you rent your place out to tourists. Someone from this very board could have ended up killed from this situation!! Our of respect and fear for the safety of your guests, you should prosecute this girl!! Next time you might not be so lucky!

By Brazil_Specialist on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 - 10:14 pm:  Edit

This is a complex issue and I gladly discuss in on the phone or in person.

Most Brazilians think what I should have done is to get her roughed up severely instead of the little slap on the wrist that she got. None of the Brazilians suggested to resort to the legal system.

In terms of getting respect for the apartment, believe me, thugs respect a well connected powerful police vigilante much more then the regular justice system.

Most likely, a police inquiry would not lead anywhere. The legal system sucks, and proofs are to weak, partially because police did not bother to collect evidence at the scene of the crime.

From the point of view of community safety, it would be best to take stronger action, either legal or outside the legal system. From the point of view of my personal and apartment safety, this stronger action might provoke revenge action, so it is actually less safe.

It is sad though, that the girl continues to work at Help.

I feel a bit uneasy to discuss these issues o a public forum. You are welcome to contact me and discuss these issues, they are complex and hard to decide.

By Sandman on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 - 08:01 am:  Edit

I have to agree with BS on this one Thump. It is a very complex problem ascerbated by a culture where the legal system does very little to thwart common street crime (hell, the maximum sentence for capitol murder is 30 years and most are paroled at 7). The second complexity is the ever present danger of revenge. Her BF, brother, father could very easily have BS beaten or worse killed (cost about R$50).

The best thing to do is scare the shit out of her; that if she ever tries anything again, this cop knows her, how to find her and will stop at nothing to track her down and extract revenge on her......

Lastly, as a 7-10 day visitor, the best course of action would be to get the police involved, have her roughed up or worse because you will be leaving soon. If you live here permanently, you don't want to have to go everywhere looking over your shoulder.

Maybe we should all hire Wyatt Earp(local cop) to clean up Tombstone!!!! Scare the shit out of the thieves that if they rob or mug any gringos, they are going down!

By Thumper on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 - 03:18 pm:  Edit

I guess I never looked at it from the perspective you guys who live there year round.

As a tourist, I put myself in the place of a monger who might have been renting a room from BS while this happened. Imagine what could have happened if BS didnt close that door in time. Knowing that I could have been killed and the offender is only going to get a little scare, doesnt make me feel safe.

By The Gnomes of Zurich on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 - 05:00 pm:  Edit

BS,

You overlook the possibility that she's done this to more than just yourself.

Spend the $whatever, and make her disappear.

You've given her enough time to piss someone else off, so the odds of someone looking to you are low.

92nd trimester isn't too late for an abortion, IMO.

How do we know she wasn't forced to go to BS's apartment by the thugs? Does that kind of thing happen in Rio?

Listen, when I was with her, the glove fit.

By Badseed on Thursday, October 28, 2004 - 12:34 pm:  Edit

At BS's request, I'm reposting what I wrote over in the chat section, but it's basically what Sandman already said much better:

Thumper:
Prosecute what? You think the police or the "Justice Department" gives a shit? You're not in Kansas anymore, Toto.

If BS had "pursued" this case, most likely outcome is that the girl would be slapped around a bit and gang-raped at the police station then dumped out in the street, in other words, same effect as bieing "scared a bit". In the meantime, the guys who were behind it now would be REALLY pissed off and come back and "take care of" BS. Or worse, if they were arrested and prosecuted, then THEIR bosses would be really pissed off and do even worse.

It's not chickenshit, best thing to do in the situation is live and let live. As things stand, snaggle-tooth girl knows not to mess with BS or his gringo buddies and to lay low for a while. Her "friends" know that BS has "connections," without him having had to actually use his connections for anything more than slapping around a silly girl (Speak softly and carry a big stick). He did exactly the right thing. If he had done any more, he'd make his apartment and all his gringo friends into potential targets in an escalating war, and we don't need that, do we?

BS (2)

By Sandman on Thursday, October 28, 2004 - 01:21 pm:  Edit

Hunter-It does happen. Just a few weeks ago a gang of about 15 guys abducted a girl and forced their way into her Apt. building in Botafogo. They proceeded to rob every Apt. in the building.

Now, I doubt that was the case with this girl but one never knows......

Thump-I can appreciate what you said about "what if he had not closed the door fast enough". Goes back to a post I made a few months ago.....NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN IN THIS TOWN! Fast thinking on BS's part I'd say...!

By Safado69 on Thursday, October 28, 2004 - 01:32 pm:  Edit

There are some advantages to staying in hotels like the Princess Copacabana. Security is one of them. The flexibility of apartments comes with a price.

Still, the odds of this happening to most guys is very low. The bandidos prefer to rob apartments with lots of goodies in them, and most apartments we mongers rent are not that well equiped. BS's place is an exception, and I'd bet money Snaggletooth told her boyfriend about the setup and he decided it had enough toys on the premises to merit a robbery attempt.

By Thumper on Thursday, October 28, 2004 - 05:19 pm:  Edit

Let me ask this. Are you allowed to own a handgun in Brasil? Not to carry in the street, but for home protection?

I honestly hope this isnt the case, but.... With the large number of different women waltzing in and out of BS's apartment on a daily basis, its only a matter of time before something like this happens again. Same logic I use for not using the CitiBank ATM inside Blockbuster, too many bandits know where to go to rob a tourist.

(Message edited by Thumper on October 28, 2004)

By Brazil_Specialist on Thursday, October 28, 2004 - 10:05 pm:  Edit

You can be absolutely sure that fire engine girl willingly masterminded the robbery. She confessed this in maior detail.

But this would be an interesting defense, in court, with a good lawyer. Hard to disprove.

Most apartments with mongers actually are equipped with US$ 4000 in cash plus laptop, camera and a few bank cards. Actually more convenient then trying to lug away my cameras and computers.

Hotels are safer, certainly. But thugs take out entire hotels, occasionally. Or at least the central safe deposit area. I think it happened a few times to Hotel Arpoador and once to Othon palace.

Thumper, I feel much better at Citibank in Ipanema, they usually have guards hanging out inside and outside. And I can have a taxi waiting for me outside. So they would have to trail the taxi (not a rare feat to have a motorbike trail the taxi and then have a guy on the bike point a gun on the guys in the car. But kind of rarer then a robbery on a pedestrian)

Thanks to fairly recent laws, handguns are totally outlawed and possession is a felony.

I am spreading the news about my swat team friend and the fact that he got the girl in one day, that will be a maior deterrent.

By Sandman on Friday, October 29, 2004 - 06:09 am:  Edit

Great Idea BS-

We should all start telling the garotas that we got tired of being mugged and have hired a SWAT Team police guy to apprehend robbers! Bet the Garota network would pass that one around in a nano second!!!!
