I have finished my quick look at Belo Horizonte...basically I found the lower end of the spectrum and the upper end as well...never found the middle road...the lower end would be a step up or two from VM with a range of R$5- R$20 full service and the upper end is a barbarella like sister club who has some beautiful women but it does come with a price(GFE not guaranteed even tho this is BH)...R300-R600 was the range...nice to see different faces than the usual in rio...taxis are a big ripoff here at night..way worse than the guys in front of help...stayed at the merit plaza(thanks moondog)...nice place maybe 4 star hotel with American modern styling..much nicer than the rio apts/hotels that run $50 a night...I think I am paying R120...

BH is alright. New Sag. and Crystal are the two boites, located in or near Savassi. You'll find roughly 30-50 girls at these places, each charging anywhere from 150R - 300R. Cover is fairly minimal, so I can't remember exactly what is was. The quality is also not off the scale...typical to a mid-range Solarium girl maybe.

Doll House is dead, at least when I went there, and a hell of a drive from Savassi.

Belo Horizonte is one of the biggest cities in Brazil. It is not a tourist city per say, but it is very modern compared to the rest of the third world. From Miami it is about a nine hour flight with one stop in Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. (try flying TAM airlines, excellent service). The best neighborhood to find a hotel in is called Savassi. Savassi is a thriving part of town with the best shoppings, discos, restaurants, bars and of course the "boites". Boite (also referred as cabarets and casas de espectaculos) are nothing but what we call here in the states as strip joints with one great exception. There is no problem whatsoever in taking a lady out for the night to your hotel room.

The best boites (pronounced boiches) are New Sagitarius night club (any name in english and you know it is very expensive, geared toward wealthy crowd which I am not), Crystal night club (somewhat expensive around $200 + yes dollars) (screw that), Boite Skorpius New (very clean somewhere in the middle kind of club. Beautiful women 7 to 10's. the price for the whole night is not more than $100 dollars), and my favorite is the Sayonara. Boy I loved that place.

Piece of advise for any traveler seeking a good time and more for your buck, always go where the locals go. And who knows best but the taxi drivers. The Sayonara is like a punani buffet. The girls are about a 6 to a 9 (in Brazil a 6 is like a 9 in the states). Between the cover fee, my beer and her drink (must be a gentleman first) I must have spent about $20. The girls are very frindly and accessible. This is a local joint so there is not much English spoken.

Saturday night I went to Sayonara, which is in Funcionarios at the eastern intersection of Rua Dos Aimores and Avenida Do Contorno, the street that circles the central district. The cover ranges from 15R to 30R, depending on the mood of the doormen. One of them spoke pretty good English and let me in for R15. My Portuguese is lousy right now, but I'm learning. Drink prices were R5 for a diet coke, R9 for a longneck, and R13 for the garotas' champagnes. Most of the other drinks were in the R10 range.

The place seemed pretty slow for a Saturday night, with maybe 5-6 guys for most of the time. There were 20-25 girls, mostly in the 5-7 range. Every half hour, one of the girls would perform a striptease show. The rest of the time, a couple of the girls would either dance clothed on the main stage, or topless on small table-stages. The rest of girls sat around or mingled. None of them spoke English. Nevertheless, I nabbed an amazing spinner with the help of the doorman, who helped me arrange an allnighter. Belo has to be one of the best kept secrets in Brazil, but I'm sure there are others as well. The girls are beautiful. In the clubs, such as was mentioned the " New Saggitarius," and "Lido" ( there are more), you will find many beautiful girls. has a computer and touch screen display right in the lobby. Poke around a bit on the screen and you will find companions, complete with their pictures, measurements, age, and phone numbers. Step out of the Merit Plaza hotel, walk left to the corner, that is Sao Paulo St. Turn right, walk down about 2-3 blocks, across the main Blvd, Alfonso de Pena, continue for another 2-3 blks., and you will come to an area of many small hotels that are are open. This morning (Saturday), at about 11 am, I went to Centro to check out Belo Horizonte’s low-end sex hotels. To get to there from Savassi, I walked north on Avenida Afonso Pena, three blocks past the Parque Municipal in Centro. Then I turned right on Sao Paulo and walked another three blocks. The corner of Sao Paulo and Guaicurus is ground zero, with the best hotels on the north side of the 600 block of Guaicurus. On Sao Paulo, the two blocks on either side of Guaicurus have several more. There are at least nine sex hotels in this small area.

At first I did not see the hotels because the surrounding area is full of ordinary stores, and lots of families were shopping with small children. Being a bit confused, I turned around and started walking along Guaicurus again. This time I noticed an unmarked door, and inside, stairs leading up. Lots of young brasilieros were streaming in and out, and I figured that I found the place. I was extremely nervous about going in alone because I stick out as a gringo, even when I dress like a local. Nevertheless, I summoned my courage, latched onto the back of a group of brasileiros, and started up the stairs.

Although I read a lot on ClubHombre, I was not prepared for what I saw. At the top of the first flight, there was a sign that said “Min. preco: R10”. Woo hoo! When I reached the second floor, there were about 30 tiny rooms. Two-thirds of the doors were closed. The remainder were open, with garotas standing in the doorway or lying in bed working on crossword puzzles. Many were topless or nude. In the dimly lit hall, a stream of brasileiros went from door to door, poking in to see the contents, then moving on. At times, brasileiros would jam up outside a door, all straining to get a peek inside.

The place was seedy as hell, but I did not feel unsafe. The hotel had two floors of garotas. Most were butt ugly, but 15%-20% were doable.

(iii) Forget about DFK, BBBJ, or any kind of GFE. This is place to get laid, fast, with minimal conversation and foreplay. If you want more, go to Sayonara and be prepared to shell out at least R250.

(iv) Use one of those Kevlar-reinforced Brazilian condoms for anything involving penetration or saliva. Don’t even think about DATY.

(v) If you want to clean up before or after your session, make sure the room has a shower. Bring your own towels and soap.

I am pretty excited about the sex hotels in Belo Horizonte. Until today, I had only seen the high end boates of BH, which at R250-350 a pop were starting to dent my finances. I may visit again tomorrow.
