Why do I put it at the top of my list ?
March 99 - Marcio (Manager) introduced me to 19 yrs old Patricia - tall, slim Moreno - I was her first commercial customer - she always remembered me on subsequent visits - then for 3 visits, did not see her - Macio informed me that Patricia was a Law College student - my last visit - Patricia jumped on me as soon as I entered the 3rd fl bar area - yes she was a Law student, but was working while on school vacation.
I met Marcio on my first visit in Mar 99 - he was extremely friendly - went out of his way to help - On Sundays we have gone to Futball games at the Maracena Stadium.
Yes, I visit the other Termas - but each visit to RIO, I always spend many a night at Monte Carlo.

Selection was bad last night on a sat, decided to skip any action. Maybe 20 garotas, at most 5 doable.

While I was there over the last two weeks, I visited the MC 4 times on a Sat, Tues, Thurs and a Monday. On all days I found there was a great selection of garotas to become freindly with. Some great lookers,some very friendly and warm, others who have the appeal and know how to use it.
They have a great commoradery in this club. They all sing and dance together, great line dancing routines and they mostly know who makes a good partner if you wish to do a double.
Met a fabulous lady who met me after work many times. Not hard to get them to met you. The routines have been expalined many times before online here.
Rooms are large and nicer than some of the other termas's. Pricing on the items are more reasonable than at other places and the bill at the end of the stay seems to be resonable. They like you to pay the girl portion in cash if possible but not manditory.
Have twice just gone in there to have a sauna, some drinks and kissing etc and making arrangements for later. What a great pastime for a small amount of money. 2 hours for 67 realis.

I tend to disagree. Went to Monte Carlo on Saturday night. Although the selection was good, there were not enough garrotas for the number of men at 8:00 and there was not a big crowd of guys. This created a sellers market. Didn't care for the place. Compared to Solarium and Rio Antigua it is a distant third.

The selection wasn't so good when I was in there. I found one girl that I liked though. I think that I'll scratch Monte Carlo off my list (it is ok but the other termas seem to have a better selection of girls).

BTW - Current price - 40 to get in, 30 for room (carbine) and 80 for girl = 150 reais totals.

Monte Carlo is located in Copacabana so it is very convient & easy to get to.

Come on guys, over the last couple of months everyone has complained or praised the same termas for having a better or worse group of girls.Each day or night has its ups or downs. Your likes are not the same as mine. So making a generalization is not fair.
So let us be honest with ourselves. It is the attitude; the quality of the surroundings; the price structure and the rules that really make the difference of one termas over the other.

Zxcvb - You're right; the experience in the same termas can vary drastically on 2 different days. I've heard other good things about Monte Carlo in the past; sounds like it was just slow the night that I was there.

As my buddy TightFit has said you only need one. On my one visit to Monte Carlo the odds on finding that one were less than expected, due to the Terma not having enough garrotas present at 8:00 on a Saturday night. I take that as a discouraging sign for this terma in the near future. I am a Rio newbie and have only been to 4 Termas. The only disappointing evening was at Monte Carlo. I left after 45 minutes and went to Terraco Atlantico. Glad you had a good time Zxcvb - I did not.

Do you usually give these kind of experiences only one shot. I visited this termas 3 times over nine days. There were always some good lookers and very friendly garotas.
So, you got to play the odds. But my guess would be for most of the termas of a smaller nature, it really depends on the night. Some are great nights others are not. The large ones are going to have a better percentage of good lookers due to the large number of girls each night.
Same thing in going to Help. Not always the same mix. Yes there are regulars, but the unique and special ones are there and your meeting is purely coincedental IMHO.

I have just returned from my first trip to Rio. I was overwhelmed by the terma girls on all visits, except the one to Monte Carlo. I see no reason to give it another chance, when Solarium, Rio Antigo, and 65 were great on 7 combined visits. I agree that things vary from night to night, and one man's ceiling is another man's floor, but I didn't care for the situation at MC based on my one visit. Given how happy I am with the other locals, why bother.

Monte Carlo is located about 9 blocks from Help, a good 15 min walk but not too bad maybe a 5R ride by taxi, 1/2 block from the ocean next to a nice hotel on Atlantico. Unfortunately selection was not very good on that Sat but would like to give it another shot. Garotas were wearing lingerie and swimsuit. Accommodations were nice and clean. Cover was 40R as I did not partake.

Just returned and went to 4 Termas - L'uomo, MC, Solarium & Centaurus. Monte Carlo was the only one I visited twice (Centaurus was the best, but why pay the extra 100R?).

Marcio hires some great girls and is a great host. The price is reasonable at 160R.

I too have always had a great time at Monte Carlo... I was saddenend and surprised to find some of the recent Rio travellers were dissapointed with it. Alas, the garotas come-and-go so quickly, such things as a bad night are probably inevitable. I'll definitely be returning there soon.

Visited MC yesterday. Quite a few girls in there at 5pm but not too happy with selection. As my time grows short here I am looking for Elite I suppose. A few 8's but nothing higher. I exited without selecting.

One word of distress. The twins are no more. A rich arabian has bought one of them out. The other one is still there. she is cute and almost chose her but she was a bit too bratty.

My new amigo "Wes"has been to Rio quite a few times and has ALWAYS had a great time at MC's. You are right though a "bad"night is inevitable. We had a bad one at Rio Antigo. We left and went to 4x4. Had a great time there. I do plan on returning though based on Gitano's thumbs up on his recent expeirence.

Absolutely, Marcio is a good guy, which for me, adds to the appeal of MC. If you do not speak Portugese well, and are going to a terma on your own, it's nice to have someone to buddy with. He has helped me out in various ways more than once... Speaking of, last I was there, he was inquiring as to the feasibilty of opening a terma in San Jose, CR. Now THAT would be cool.

Ah, the Twins. They must have started working in Monte Carlo back in July days after their 18th birthday. Sabrina is marginally better looking than Marina. In terms of sex, they are about the same; Sabrina may even be marginally better, overall. If you push the right buttons with either of them -- hold on for a great ride. So, why did the Iranian choose Marina? I think it has to do with their very different mental make-ups and not upon their physical appearance or sexual talents. I won't speculate any further, except to say that Sabrina is becoming hardcore at the ripe age of 18. She has a very good "sales pitch," and her persistence can indeed make her "bratty."

Tuesday Feb 26 @6pm. First time there...front desk girl spoke some enlish, explained the rate structure...had decided that if I got a good one I would go "suite".....typical changing room with helpful middle-aged lady - I like it at places that do this as opposed to hooking you up with a irl/guide from a bullpen who may be hard to shake off if you don't like her....

Its not about the song's beat....I love the song for what it does to these sexy women. The display is what haunts my memories.

I never partook of the twins, but there was a morena I used to see at MC who was always trying to set me up with other girls (after an initial session with her, of course). She told me Marina was no-holes-barred (this gal knew what I liked ), whereas Sabrina was not. While they are cute, I don't think they come off sexy. The seemed to enjoy doing their synchronized dancing in the boite more than entertaining the clients. Fooledagain, your comments really point to a much bigger picture. Sadly, MC at this time might not be the best choice for a first time terma experience. Some of the termas can be cyclical (sp?) talent wise, and Monte Carlo seems to be in a funk in that regard.

Though you will undoubtedly be knocked out by the plentide of hotties at Centaurus, I would hope you might consider Solarium as your next step. It's golden and forever consistently great; and unlike Centaurus, you don't pay for a (too high, IMHO) session upfront and have to put up with what I consider to be overly aggresive garotas.

What I meant by the bigger picture was my interest in why you prefer Help to termas (after your next terma visit, though). This very topic was raised on a different site, and I would be very interested in what these august members' preferences are, and why.

I am hardly a Rio vet, but I don't think you can compare termas and Help. It's apples and papayas. The terma girls try harder. There are more con artists at Help. Help is fun, but you have to be more selective. This can be difficult without speaking Portuguese or at least Spanish. Also I don't like to dance very much (disco still kinda sucks).

Terma girls are close to can't miss. Help girls are a little iffy IMHSHO. Although a fan of Solarium myself, I would suggest Rio Antigo for something just a little more laid back.

I gotta agree with both Gitano & Wilco. Based on my recent experiences, I'd say that you should check out Solarium, Rio Antigo, Termas 65, or Aeroporto before giving up on the termas. 4x4 and Centurus are hit or miss (they both tend to have some beauties but sometimes the high pressure and/or crowds at these 2 termas turn some guys off -including me at times). The talent IMHO seems to be off currently at MC and L'uomos. Besides that Help/Barbarella don't get rocking until midnight so you have all afternoon/early evening to check out some termas. My personal recommendation would be to arrive at Solarium between 5:30pm-6pm (if a girl is working that night she has to be there by 6pm).

My only recommendation is to screw all day, early morning if a garota spent previous night with you, high noon is great for agency visit, late afternoon is great for termas, early evening is great for Barbarella, then late evening is a good time for last shot of the day at Help.

I was just going to comment in another thread that Athos' stamina is incredible. His post above essentially describes his daily routine and he is still going strong when they turn the lights out at Help. I'm not sure which thread it is but Athos' herb/vitamen mixture is worth investigating. I personally tend to run out of gas after a day in the termas.

I guess the Men's Health section is where all the supplements/Chinese Herbs/etc information is located.

Monte Carlo is a good walk 15 min from Help but very easy to find, walk Ave Atlantica or Copacabana for 7 blocks from Help, located near hotel Oceano Copacabana and hotel Olinda Othon.

Solarium and Monte Carlo are supposed to be owned by the same group. I've alwasys wondered why they don't rotate the women, but they don't. Periodically, they appear to clean house (keeping only a handful) rather than rotate. I've never seen a Solarium woman at Monte Carlo or vice versa, or maybe I've have't been to either for an extended enough period to make a better judgment. Maybe, a local can tell us more.

I put this message here because there has been some interest in the Twins...There is a very interesting Brazilian movie, Gemeas (Twins), which involves some sexy twists of plot involving identical twins. Wilco- I just like the atmoshere better at Help. Sorry guys I just do not think MC has the talent here. There are a few 8's but that is as far I as I can go here. The twin is the best looking one there I think.

I agree that the quality of women, based entirely on Looks, tends to be somewhat less at Monte Carlo than at some of the other termas. However, when the girls are not outright stunners one tends to make choices based on more subtle (often more reliable) cues for making choices. Some of my very best Rio experiences have been at MC and with girls who would not have made my first cut if I had been choosing solely on looks. At least two of their current staff have no gag reflex at all and the attitude cannot be beat. Yes, it is a smaller club and during busy times the selection is limited.Easy solution...Don't go during peak hours. It's pointless to blame the club for the situation. It's the same with all the termas. Go at the peak time and deal with a big male crowd. It just seems worse at a small club.
As time goes on I have begun to believe that attitude is more important than appearence. The biggest advantage of the termas seems to be that the girls can be relied upon to have a better attitude. Their jobs depend on it.Unlike the Help girls who do not expect to see you again and who are motivated to milk you for as much as they can, the termas girls thrive on good reviews and return business.Besides, if you find a good one you can always get her number and meet her outside of the club.

Nicely stated. We all have our favorite termas (Solarium happens to be mine) but The_Artist & I totally agree on the great attitudes of the girls from small termas. I think that is the main reason that I love Rio. Often you will find better lookers in Barbarellas/Help but generally they are just watching the clock so they can leave. Going to Rio can be like a kid in the candy store; there are so many women that you don't know which one to choose. The attitude of the women in small termas can't be beat especially if you learn a little Portuguese (or use your Spanish) and spend a little time talking/kissing in the boite.

All that and Young Tom STILL, takes home the hotties... Somthing to think about...

There's some great new talent here now. Too bad I couldn't try any of it because my wife works here.

I thought Monte Carlo was pretty lame last night, with several dogs, couple of decent looking ones but all you need is one right. Head there but only after I am gone as Pet of the month Pauliana now Juliana started working there this week. She may not stay long as she asked me what I thought of the club.
