The circuit. The better looking girls, having made enough money, can jet off to Spain or Italy at the end of March as it begins to get cold in Rio. They head back for Brazil around August / September to get ready for another season.
While the prices are low during the off season, there is definately not the selection that the November - March season holds. Yes, Termas are still active and the older ones are around, but it is definately harder to find the 10's.

Anyone taken the party boat cruises? While I was down there last week, I met a guy named Kenny, who was sponsoring boat cruises for 3 hours on a saturday afternoon. H etold me he had about 4o women and 20 guys who go out and party on the ocean, apparently, you can photograph and film the women. If you want , they have cabins downstairs where you can fuck the girls as well.
The price was 100US, I balked when I heard that because I was in front on M.P. when the vans were loading up, and they seemed to be all the normal girls from "Hooker beach" & Meai Pataca. I didn't feel like paying 100 bucks to be on a boat with the same girls that I can see everyday for free. (Maybe if it was a boatload of Centaraus girls:-) Has anyone ever been? If so, what exactly do you get for your 100 dollars?

Best way to bring computer to Brasil? I will be going to Brasil for 3 months in June, I would like to bring one of my computers with me to use while I am there. I plan on leaving it in my cousin's house when I leave, so that he and his girlfriend can use it. ANy ideas on what is the best way to bring one to Brasil without being killed by the taxes? UPS maybe?
By Dood on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 - 10:46 am: Edit |
I'm assuming you mean a full size computer.
I brought my laptop on my last trip no problem.
As for a full size, I think you are allowed to bring it in and cliam it's for personal use and valued less then $500 without getting taxed.
From the consulate web site:
Baggage of Non-Residents
Upon arrival, all travelers must present to Customs the form Declaração de Bagagem Acompanhada - DBA (it translates as “Accompanied Baggage Declaration”) duly filled in; the flight attendants always distribute copies of the form during flight. In the Customs area, the traveler must go to the “Goods to Declare” desk whenever his or her baggage includes:
animals, plants, seeds, foodstuff and medication subject to health inspection, weapons and ammunition;
other goods, when the traveler wishes get proof of their admittance into Brazil;
goods subject to the regime of temporary admittance, only when their listing on the DBA is required (for instance, goods worth over US$ 3,000.00);
goods not considered by Brazilian law as baggage (such as goods brought for commercial or industrial purposes);
valuables (cash, checks or traveler’s checks) worth over R$ 10,000.00 (or equivalent in foreign currency).
The baggage of a non-resident traveler is admitted into Brazil under the regime of temporary admittance. Under this regime, the traveler’s baggage is exempt from customs duties for a determined period of time, provided that the goods are withdrawn from Brazil before the term of this period. This period of time is set by the customs officer in accordance with the traveler’s period of regular stay in Brazil. Brazilians claiming non-resident status must produce a permanent visa granted by the country he or she lives in.
Nevertheless, goods destined for consumption included in the traveler’s baggage (including gifts to be offered in Brazil) are subject to an overall limit of US$ 500.00 (when the traveler enters Brazil by air or sea) or US$ 150.00 (when the traveler enters Brazil by land, river or lake) per person; the goods in excess of the stipulated amount shall be subject to customs duties, calculated at the rate of 50% of their value; in this case, the traveler must go to the “Goods to Declare” desk at Customs. Books, leaflets, periodicals, as well as clothes and other garment articles, toilet articles and footwear intended for the traveler’s personal use are exempt from customs duties.
Goods purchased at a duty free shop in Brazil upon arrival are exempt from customs duties up to an overall limit of US$ 500.00 per person.

I was just looking at the companygirl website today ... a whole lot of new talent. Man, I'm ready to return to do Sheilla, Emile, and Melissa. Sign me up now.
Also lots of new talent at CIA Plus. I never tried them.
By Youngtom on Saturday, April 13, 2002 - 06:20 pm: Edit |
Oh no, UW - you've forgotten already. More termas & fewer agency girls. Just kidding - you're right, companygirl does seem to have alot of good looking meninas these days. I enjoy checking out the various Rio agencies to help remind me of Rio.
By Athos on Saturday, April 13, 2002 - 07:52 pm: Edit |
Layne87,
Several hombres are going in May. 4 more weeks for me, almost done with level 2 Pimsleur. Have started priming my body with herbal combos and swimming every day.
CompanyGirl, Contatos Rio, CiaPlus, Agencia Models, Barra Vips, plenty enough for me as I'll be lucky to try 10 of them.
I am surprised Dood did not mention the couple of hotties working in the duty free shop at the airport.

Leaving Rio tomorrow, 4/14, to return to LA. Visit has been spent with a chica that I met at Centarus last year. I have several other observations about things here.
1. The real is now almost 2.2 to the dollar. Last year when I was hear at times it was 2.8 to the dollar. So this means that things are more expensive now.
2. Have not seen many comments about Centarus lately. I was there on Thursday, 4/11. Only half the chicas had company (I know, I visited my chica there. She has not been charging be outside).
3. For the price now, Buenos Aires is better, but you could find yourself in trouble in BA because things are getting worse there every day. Anarchy has to be close in BA.
4. I think that Rio girls are still friendlier then BA chicas, but BA chicas are getter on draining your plumbing.
By Layne87 on Saturday, April 13, 2002 - 10:01 pm: Edit |
Canonperdido- I believe not many board members going there because of the price compared to Solarium..I still like it as I was there just last week.. I believe I saw your GF there...older but built DAMN well I tried to catch her but could not...on a time schedule and had to chose quickly. They still have the best hotties...Barbarellas had them beat because of one or two 10's but thats all...
By Youngtom on Saturday, April 13, 2002 - 11:12 pm: Edit |
The extra 100 reais doesn't bother me so much at Centarus. A bigger issue is if you cornered by the 1/2 of the chicas that don't have a guy - they won't take no for an answer.

My small experience at Centaurus, I did not notice much difference with other termas. Maybe you should give it another try.
By Youngtom on Saturday, April 13, 2002 - 11:48 pm: Edit |
Yeah, I usually try to hit Centaurus each trip but given that it is currently about 6th on my list of termas, I never seem to make it there during a 1 week trip. Besides that I find Centarus & 4x4 to be very similar - the main difference between them & the rest of the other termas is that they have more girls so you'll will find more good looking girls as well. But last time I checked I can only do a couple each night & I can pick off the gems in small termas & have more fun (ie I don't have to feel like a sardine). I've been to Centarus about 8 times so I have a good feel for the place; my first couple of trips I'd go there more often than I go now. My only regret about Centarus what that I never was able to hook up with Jessica (she was hot - best looking woman that I've seen in a termas maybe even best looking woman that I've seen in Rio). I believe that Canonperdido reported that she was working Barbarella now so I'd rather look for her down there.
By Athos on Saturday, April 13, 2002 - 11:59 pm: Edit |
OK YT I'll be looking for a Jessica at Barbarella. Loira, brunette, redhead or morena? C or D cup? 1,66 m to 1,70 m?
By Youngtom on Sunday, April 14, 2002 - 12:06 am: Edit |
Athos - she's maybe 5'2, C cup, perfect figure, gorgeous face. She has brown hair so you might not like her - call me if you see her & I'll come running.

Athos,YT: Wow your planned return trip is pretty quick. I may be in GIG in late May for our bi-annual briefing. I have to be in AMS this coming Friday & Monday. My locals suggest that it is worth offering a garota a weekend trip to Buzio - Thereby saving some bucks on the hotels in Rio
This only applies to folks who are there on work/business that is for more than a week-at-a-time.
By Kenn on Sunday, April 14, 2002 - 07:08 am: Edit |

I got 2.36r to the dollar yesterday....
I know it's not 2.8 but better than 2.2...

Citydude - I'm contemplating a short trip to Buzios this next trip (going to just wing it depending on the weather). As CityDude mentions, one definitely needs to BYOG (bring your own garota) when you go to see the beautiful beaches of Buzios as there is very little local action available there. From all that I've heard, Buzios has such nice beaches, restaurants, etc that talking a girl into going to Buzios is a piece of cake. I had a friend that asked a girl to go to Buzios - she shows for the trip with a small purse & wearing only a string bikini. My friend points out that they are going for 5 days & she might be travelling a tad light. She replies that she has everything that she needs; they had quite the trip & my friend concluded that a string bikini was all that she needed.

I think YoungTom is going to Rio 4 times a year. Not sure where he gets all this vacation time.
I try to work Christmas and extra Saturdays to pick up extra time.
I am leaning towards going to Buenos Aires in Nov instead of Rio.
By Layne87 on Sunday, April 14, 2002 - 10:54 am: Edit |
I asked for Jessica twice when visiting Barbarellas and they told me no each time, but I have learned this means for little.
If she is like YT decribes she was not there when I was because I did the top 4 in there and I would have noticed 5' 3" and perfect body.
By Citydude on Monday, April 15, 2002 - 03:26 am: Edit |
YT - Good luck on yr trip - I have to check on details of our bi-annual briefings; most importantly if I'm in the list of non-local participant.
Athos - Nov, is normally reserved for HKG/SEASEAN markets. We Shall see.

Jessica was at Bararellas in early Jan. She has long just past sholder straight jet black hair. I was in Rio last week, and cannot tell you if she is there now. She was the best lay I had had at Centarus. When I ran into her in Jan, I was with another lady, and the reacquaintance was accidental, but she had the best looking legs and rear end you could imagine. Her smile was really contagious, and personality great. I wish that I had had a chance to be with her again. I believe that she is about 28. Also, I understand that now she has a boyfriend from Rio who has put her up in an apartment in Ipanema. However, he does not provide her as much money as she wants, so she works part time at Barberella. I think that the boy friend does, or is not supposed to know about the part time situation. By part time I mean 3 or 4 times per week.
Maybe she is lost to the world now. Hard to ask a girl about another girl.

Rakshas
Thanks for pointing me towards your trip report as I missed it when posted.
BTW fantastic trip report.
I'll cross CIAPlus and ContatosRio from my list then, 2 garotas had made the cut. Both agencies seem to be using same garotas. I remember YoungTom did not have much success with a garota from CIAPlus last nov.
Sol from CompanyGirl did not make the cut on my list but it's always great to get first hand info.
Too bad about Luma's looks not fitting your needs as rare nympho.

My sincere apologies for not doing the daily updates this time..
I was in an apartment, and there was no phone line for me to plug into for the "daily's".. Plus I was so busy trying to find a place to live, vacant storefronts, and getting laid.. that I really had no time to post.
The only reason I can post now is that I'm in Sao Paulo at "the office" with nothing to do.
Rio just keeps getting better..L'uomo is my new favorite.. I'll let Layne explain to everyone why.
Layne.. My wife said to say hello..
So did yours...(As she says: "Line") We're halfway even now. I'll take care of the other half on May 30th when I return..

Dood,
I followed up on the report that Bia had moved to 65 in Centro, and I can report that this club was better than I had remembered. Although a bit smaller than 4x4 they had the same quality of girls (or better). The facilities were nice and every one was friendly. The annoying practice of assigning a girl to show you around seems to only hold for first time vistors. Bia was indeed there and seemed quite glad to see me. She informed me that the next day was her birthday so I got to have her on the last day she was 19. Just as fantastic as ever.
Work on the apartment progresses slowly. Try to figure in some leeway for delays when you do the business. They will almost certainly occur.
Also got to try out the annette look-alike from Monte Carlo. Recommended...she scored 9's accross the board. Sweet Paula gave me her blessing to try out other girls. She knows I am safado (sp?)
BTW I am considering naming the apartment the Safado Palace. What do you think?
PS Saw your wife today ...with her sister. You are right...it was Sabrina with whom I shared the earlier experience. She said she was glad you were gone so that now she could get some rest.
Gentlemen, Do yourselves a favor and try out the talent at Club 65. It's on the next block over from 4x4 on Rua de Rosario.
Layne, Camilla says hello. She seems to think you are angry with her for some reason and this seemed to upset her. If this is not true reassure the poor girl...she's such a sweetheart.
By Layne87 on Wednesday, May 01, 2002 - 02:23 pm: Edit |
No I am not angry with her...just trying to recover from her...I am serious... she rocked my world..I made her an offer that was completely stupid..and I meant it...I will call her if you guys will stop doing her long enough for her to talk ...
By Layne87 on Wednesday, May 01, 2002 - 03:56 pm: Edit |
Ohh thanks for the msg Artist...when will your apt be ready to rent out...
By Dood on Wednesday, May 01, 2002 - 07:05 pm: Edit |
Layne.. in all seriousness, we're just three or four guys on a website that happen to have "shared" an experience. Think about the big picture, ya know what I'm saying?
By Layne87 on Wednesday, May 01, 2002 - 07:46 pm: Edit |
I know...I was not being serious...may have sounded like it maybe...its like you said awhile back about a $50 application...plus I would rather have some good guys go there instead of the not so nice from other places...Hell I am surprised it took everyone this long to take my advice from January(no one read my report???). I even fixed her up with someone I trusted and knew would treat her right before she went back to the terma...I actually want her to meet someone to take her out of there...There is a young guy here in the US that wants to marry her and I told her I would help her get here just to see if she likes it well enough to marry him... I tell her all the time before her sweet heart dies she needs to get out...but hey she may like the excitement and power she has over men...
I am having fun throwing barbs at you guys...if you throw em you have to catch em...
By Dood on Wednesday, May 01, 2002 - 09:02 pm: Edit |
The barbs are the best part. Especially when I tell Don how much I enjoyed fucking his wife.
It really gets weird once you take a girl out of the termas. I think that was my biggest mistake. Once you start to get to know these girls, and realize just how sweet they are the shit hits the fan. It becomes exceedingly difficult to remember the "It's business not personal" motto of the whole deal. I've been struggling for the last week tying to re-program my software to the thinking that being a “garota de programma” isn't a bad thing, it's just a job. The_Artist has been a great help to me dealing with this.
I only have a problem going to Monte Carlo, anywhere else I can do whomever I want. Although by the time I get back on the 30th, the wife will be working somewhere else with her sister at a place I won't go anymore anyway. (I won’t say until I know for sure, she was still thinking about it when I left) So on the next trip, I'll be able to sample some of the new talent.
I still don’t agree with you about Barbarella’s and Centaurus though, I just can’t bring myself to pay those prices with the plethora of available hotties. Just think, we’ve only been going to a handful of places. We have barely scratched the surface of what’s available.
