Sau Paulo is more expensive than Rio, most of the better known places are of the Rue Augusta. The Hotel Brazilton is a good choice, but there are a n number of decent places on Rue Augusta, a best western is one I can recall. 5-6 "american bars" and a couple of thermas are clustered near the Brazilton (Kiltz, Bigben, Seven Seas, Scorpian and a few others). I'd recommend sticking to this main drag until you know your way around...kind of like the CC,AB,HK triangle in TJ

Was in S.P. for the first time last year and managed to visit Kilt & Big Ben which are basically "outcall" bars, where you have a drink and choose a girl to leave with you. I went to Cafe Foto about two years ago. The first thing I can say is that the woman there are out of this world. It's kind of expensive to get in. About $80 US which includes 4 drink tickets. My advise to you is to not use all the tickets or buy girls drinks. It's not expected and they are very expensive. $20 per drink. There are two floors that you can go to and a third floor that is a private club. Live bands play on both floors and the woman walk freely throughout the entire club.

I have been there three or four times in the past and I have hauled out some babes. As my friend told me. Don't make your choice too early in this place. After 12:00 midnight the selection gets better and the price drops. Brush up on your negotiating skills and you should be able to take a 8 - 10 looking girl to your hotel for $150 US.

Most of the hotels don't care if you bring a girl back with you but she will have to check in at the desk. I have usually kept the girl for the evening though it is tough since most of the people in Brasil do not speak english and I don't speak Portuguese. You may get by with some Spanish but even that is a big maybe.

I dont' know about midprice hotels, but there's a cheap (~30-50R$) one named 'Estrela/Stella'(?) at rua Augusta close to the clubs (~30R$ for 30 min.) and street girls there, and also just about a 5 minutes walk away from BigBen or Kilt (more expensive!). I didn't stay there, don't know about quality, noise, etc. There are a lot of similar priced hotels close to Av.Timbiras near Pça.República, but there's only 1 club there and a few street girls only (mainly TS, some are really nice!); 15-30 minutes walk to Kilt or rua Augusta. If you want to go to other clubs, many of them are in Moema, take a taxi. Check out www.contatos.com.br or www.sexdreams.com.br if you want to get a stunner (expensive, 200R$ or more for 1 hour) to your hotel room. Prices vary!! Never tried. I'd recommend you visit a 'casa' where prices are ~40-70R$ per hour. Good service. Find ads in local newspapers (FolhaSP, EstadoSP). Speaking portuguese helps a lot!

Yeah, just returned from living in Sao Paulo for two years. Loved it, an experience of a lifetime. The women are incredible, the restaurants incredible and the service is five star. It's also very cheap for the dollar right now. A minimum exchange of 2.5 to 1.

The street is Rua Augusta. At the end towards Av. Paulista is where the TV's hang out, be careful. The end the other way - down the street literally - is where the better bars are. 2 very hectic nights in Sao Paulo.

SP can be higher prices than Rio, but there are many places approaching Help and Meia Patacha prices as well.

Most of your major hotels are garota friendly, they just want you to register and some do not allow more than one guest at a time. In the afternoon, if you walk in with two girls dressed nicely and all of you talking about some business matter, usually there will not be a problem. The problem comes in trying to register two guests in the evening. YMMV.

There are Termas all over, but it is a big city. I went to a nice terma the other day, right near the Kilt. They are not as populated at the ones in Rio.
