We never had a chance to use Don's services because his server was down and he never received our inquires. I can't speak for Don at the business level, but at a personal level he is a great friend to have in Rio. Eventhough we never used his services, Don still insisted on offering us free cellphones if we needed when we met in persons.

Don is well known with the garotas at the termas and he's a friend of the house at the La Cicciliona bar. If you go to a terma and see a gringo puffing a cigar with several garotas around him, just introduce yourself because you have just met a friend in Rio.

Don and GCL sent me off from L'uomo thinking I was heading home to So Cal. Well, the flight to Portugal was no longer than to home and they have internet cafes here too. You know I had hooked up with GCL's girlfriend's friend and the phone I had was GCL's on a previous trip. I ended up with everyones phone numbers and it really wasn't a problem finding out where they were staying. The weather is great and well I won't go in too much detail. Hope to see you in November GCL!!!!!

I was fortunate to have met Don and GCL recently on my first trip to Rio during Thanksgiving. I did not use Don's service because I did not know too much about it. He welcomed me and let me join in with a group of guys that was using his service. Both Don and GCL were very friendly and they were very knowledgeable of the Rio scene. My trip to Rio was very enjoyable mostly because of Don and GCL willingness to share their knowledge with newbies. I highly recommend Don's service and I will definitely be using his service for my future trips to Rio.

Just got back from my first trip to Rio. Awesome experience! I used Don and Rhonda from Riotrips which made my first couple of days stress free and got me in the right frame of mind. Don is a class act and looks out after everyone he's with to make sure a good time is had by all. Rhonda gets big kudos for helping me get out of a awkward garota situation and for putting up with my silly questions. Don's buddies Karl and Rich are great guys to know and be around. Even if you are the "adventurer" type Don & Co. are very knowledgeable about the local scene and are a great resource.

Don and Rhonda provide excellent customer service. They are very good about setting up apartments and providing "guide" services. I have been to Rio three times and I use and pay for their services each time I am in town. For the newbies, don't even consider not using them. Otherwise, you are going to waste your time and money and probably not meet a very entertaining group of guys and even more entertaining group of women. Rhonda handles apartment rentals and will fix you up. Don handles the guide service and knows most of the women you want to meet. If Don introduces you to a woman, you and she are going to have a good time. Don and the women both have an interest in things going well. Recently Rhonda helped me with a suggestion for the hotel in Buzios. I could have spent alot of time researching but Rhonda gave me the answer in two sentences.
Don knows where and when to go to the hotspots.
If you are trying to save and few bucks and not pay Don, please save money elsewhere as Don is worth every penny. Finally, Rhonda usually likes to have some items brought to her from the US (Mountain Dew, Kraft Macaroni and Cheese were recent request, email mail her for her latest wish list) She is appreciative of the gift items we bring. Don and Rhonda rock!

Add me to the list of people recommending Rich and Don and Karl and their Cafe Alcazar mafia. I went to Rio for the first time in March and planned to check out the whole scene on my own. But it was easy and fun to hang out with those dudes.

Rich has been described as many things, but never EASY.

BD-you are right. For all the good that Viagra did for male rigidity, the side effects were a little distasteful.

I used them for my first trip to Rio, and have no regrets.

Understand that Cyalis is cost less purchased in a drug store in el centro as oppose to Copa.

I have been on this board for about a year now and have NEVER heard a bad thing said about Don. And the guys on here are not the type to hold there tonges. I have not met him in my 2 trips but from what I have read, great guy and will help you fulfill all of your desires. Hope to meet him in July.

One of my friends had a very bad experience with one of the tour guides from this board.

It may have been just an isolated incident but it fucked his whole trip up.

I will see if he wants to post about it. He told me all about it and i think it should be posted about. If not perhaps he wouldnt mind me posting about it with his permission.

I just spent two weeks using Don's service. It was the best money I spent. I saw things I would have never seen and got treated way better than I would have otherwise.

I've been asked to elaborate a little on my previous post.

Don, Karl and Rich were well worth the money I spent. Here are my top 10 reasons for using them:

1: On my first day in town, Don jumps up from a table at the Terrace and pulls me a legendary hottie. The deal was done before she even sat down next to me. It wasn't necessary, as I can pull my own girls, but it was a nice gesture. I'm also sure she wouldn't have gone with me for the price I got if Don hadn't known her so well.

2. During an improptu club tour with Don, I overspent on drinks at Frank's. Neither of us had the money to cover the tab, but Don's clout got us out of there with no problem and smiles from the manager. If it wasn't or Don, I'd still be washing dishes there.

3. A tour of low end Downtown Termas such as 61, 502 and MV30 scores me my best sessions of the trip....and a favorita. I could of never found these places on my own. Nor, would I be safe trying.

4. Sitting at a beach kiosk at 4:00 A.M. and not getting robbed. Why? Karl brought Magilla, the Alcazar night security guy with us. Not an experience to be tried alone.

5. Being included in two VIP's festas on my first Rio trip. These were by far the highlights of the trip.

6. Calling Don while standing in a grocery store just to ask him which wine he recommends. Spending the rest of the afternoon in his apartment watching the Soprano's, drinking the wine and smoking cigars.

7. A seedy bar crawl followed by a stop at the hot dog truck at 4:00 A.M.

8. A tour of each Terma with useful tips such as...at Luomo, the showers on the left are hot, on the right are cold. Finding this out the hard way could really put a damper on a perfectly good hard on.

9. Countless tips about restaurants, troublemakers, cell phone credits, bikini purchases, VIP's etiquette and ATM locations.

10. More laughs in two weeks than I've had in my entire life.

Also, I heard that selling tatu's is somewhat properous, but requires an unusual amount of NOCAL (north california) audacity.

While I have not used Don's services I have joined his merry band for lunch at the Alcazar on more than one occasion. I can say that it was a most enjoyable way to spend the early part of the afternoon (until the opening of the termas!)

Meet Don for the first time at Alacazar on Thurday 7-3 and then later that night at 4x4. He helped me get rid of one girl to hook up with another and was great to talk to. He even helped my buddy the next night. Even thought I have never hired him, this to me, confirms what people are saying on the board. Great guy and willing to help you out. 1st trip I would hire him. . .you canīt go wrong. And if your lucky enough to tag along do that too. . .Just donīt abuse his friendlyness and help when you have not paid.
