Tried L'uomo last night and it's really dragging even for a Wednesday night. I expected a little better, there are few girls around and I was the only gringo there.

i was there yesterday from about 4-7. i was also the only gringo i think and maybe 3 other guys when i got there. the selection of girls was great! imho just like i like it!

I know a couple of girls from L'Uomo. August is a slow month for them. The way the rates have increased overe the past three years, they do not have to work as often and some take a month or two off at a time. I suspect it will pickup, as it does in the stateside hobby, middle of September on.

This is the first time in almost four years that I have been to L'uomo and not gotten laid, OK it was late but I should have been able to find one girl I wanted to take back.

Cannot confirm. Last time I talked to babi (6 weeks ago), she said she was going to leave for another terma (she mentioned Solarium). Angel said (the week after) that she was still there, and that's all I know. The girls used to party together and then it went bad. I dupla'd them several times but I can pretty much confirm that they now hate each other with a passion. I can't give away too much of the story to protect my identity, but you can figure I am to partially to blame for the problem.

I was thinking about a dupla with Angel and Babi for my next visit...Maybe they will kiss and make up in the next few days...Let the drama continue.

Go for it. I was wondering how far a GDP will go for money. In other words, if a terma client chooses girl X and then a second girl for a dupla, are the girls required to go without reservation? If not, will either of the girls refuse out of principal or 'bury the hatchet' for the money. I can tell you that the feud between these 2 is no exaggeration- they each accused the other of lying to clients about the other girl, and stealing money/clients away from each other. Management had to get involved and ordered them to either settle it or move to another terma. They didn't settle, but I'm not real sure on the current status.

Whats the price schedule at Luomo now? Have they raised their prices like MC and Solarium. I tried visiting the Website, but cant get past the opening page. It seems to be down at the moment.

Luomo is a minimum of R210. 50 for entrance reduced to 40 if you do programa. 50 for the cabine (40 min) and 130 for the garota.

Montecarlo is a minimum of R250. 60 for entrance (no difference wether you do programa or not). 60 for the room and 130 for the girl. I never liked the place as they always try to rip you off so I just walked to Luomo and saved myself R40.

With present exchange at the ATM coming close to 2.21, while you only get 2.25 for your cash at the cambios. Rio is becoming more expensive by the hour. Everything from hotel costs, clothing, shoes and food has gone upwards in US Dollars at least 50% in the past 6 months.
