$45 per night. Nice size rooms. Big bed, desk, couch, huge bathroom WITH a Jacuzzi. Staff was incredibly helpful, courteous, room service was room service. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. Nice thing about this place. Across the street from Pizza Alley, 1 block from Kennedy/Central Park. 2 ½ blocks from Tequila Rock. No guest fee, actually they didn't even bother the girls or myself. No guest fee. I made reservations for my November trip. Was told a single room without a jacuzzi was $20. Absolutely the best place for my money.

Hotel Las Palmas, supposedly three-star but two-star in my opinion. Calle Bellavista 320, Miraflores, 511-444-6033, hpalmas@mail.macrostudio.net, www.macrostudio.net/laspalmas for $35 total(?). It has a security box for individual guest and is only one block west of Kennedy Park, but the hotel did not have an upscale ambiance, but looked clean.

The single room is now US$25 a night (may be off-season rate only), with a queen bed, private bath-hot shower, cable TV and a fan, but without air-con, mini-bar or jacuzzi. The room is average, a bit dated decor-wise, but the hotel is still very open with bringing in the chicas and does not even require that they be registered. And the location in Miraflores is very central, just off Pizza Alley. The hotel also has 1 free internet PC, though it is VERY slow (a P200 with 56K modem I think)...

There are many top-rate, name brand hotels in Lima. Las Palmas is not one of them. What it is, is clean, centrally-located, inexpensive, and monger-friendly. I have their best room (a suite). It has a king size bed, carpeting, a bathroom with a jacuzzi and a restaurant, and all for $54, including tax. The safe is by reception, and cost $2 per day additional. I check in without issue, and go up to my room. The bellhop took my bag up while I was signing papers, and was back down before I finished. No one hit me up for a tip.

Hotel Las Palmas at Calle Berlin 211, Miraflores. (http://www.hotellaspalmas.com). I looked at a room here and it was not as nice as the place I stayed (Leon De Oro). The rate for an executive room is only $40 per night. They also offer a $35 a night rate if you stay for a week. I would avoid this hotel unless you are on a very tight budget.

On my most recent stay here they were working on installing an elevator. I imagine that it should be complete and operational by now.
Nevertheless, my preferred hotel of choice is now Maria Luisa which is closer to Tequila Rock. The rooms are nicer, the rates are lower, and they are just as guest-friendly.

RT here. The elevator is indeed operational now.
There is a big sign in the window offering rooms for 70 Soles ($21.47), so this now makes the Las Palmas a viable short-term option, especially considering that you can get there in about 30 seconds from Pizza Alley.
I am sure that this doesn't include their best rooms, but if you just need a bed with clean sheets for an hour or two, it will certainly do the job.

Adding to RTīs comments, the deal is legit. I rolled up at 1:45am on Saturdy night after a 9 hour flight and an hour in customs and immigration. Walked right in and paid 70 Sols and got a key to a 4th floor room. Room was clean, bur small. No security box, and the walls paper thin. I was too tired to look for anything, but should have. The guy next to me had two rounds after I arrived. Walls are paper thin and you can hear every word while they are in the shower. On second though, maybe not all that bad as it really made me hungry for Sundnay night hunting!

I stayed here for 4 nights, then 6 nights. Rate was $35/night. Not great, but good at the price. Walls are thin, as stated above. No problems with chicas. About 100 ft from Pizza alley, very close to the park, and to Tequila Rock. They can arrange for Taxi pick up at the airport. I would stay here again, cause I'm on a budget, otherwise, spend a bit more and get more.
