Stayed in this gem in July for my 4 days in Cali. The Cali Plaza is a small boutique hotel right in the middle of the Cali entertainment center and just steps from Sexta Ave. The location can’t be beat. They are guest friendly and there is no charge for bringing a chica up to your room. They have hotel rooms or apartments to stay in and I chose the one bedroom apartment at $93 USD per night. The apartment was furnished nicely and the bed was comfortable and I slept well. They have a taxi driver (George) who works with the hotel and he speaks fluent English is very knowledgeable about his city and was great guide.

Very pricey for Cali though, and I heard the noise from Viejo Barril can get noisy, BUT you cant beat the safety and location though!

Yup the music from Viejo Barril is very load and goes until 2 AM. My apartment was in the back of the hotel so while I could still hear the music, a little bit, in most of the apartment when I closed the bedroom door and with the AC on I didn't hear it at all. If you're in the front.......bad news.....

I am staying here now. The current prices are listed on their website. I am paying $73 a night. It is in a great location and is loud if you are close to the front of the hotel.

The A/C and WIFI works great. They let you borrow a cell phone and it has the number of the hotel and their taxi driver programed in the phone. You can buy a 20,000cop phone card from the hotel.

Most taxi drivers do not seem to know the exact location of the hotel. Good idea to bring the business card or just tell them Calle 15 and Avenida Sexta.

The maid service is flexible if you don't leave your room till late. They do not rush you to clean the room.
