In the Miraflores section of this tourist area, there is a well-known pedestrian walkway commonly known as "Pizza Alley." or,"Las Calles de las Pizzas." The actual name of the street is called San Ramon. Itīs definitely a known hangout for discreet prostitution. I could have sworn I read previously here from one mongers report before I arrived in Peru about this location, but I seem to have difficulty locating the thread.
Anyway, I use the term "discreet" because the ladies of the evening here donīt exactly flaunt their wares in such a manner which is obvious to the passer-by. They donīt even dress scantily and are often milling about in groups amongst themselves just talking mostly to the taxi drivers on the street. Most in fact look conservatively dressed. This could also account for the weather which is cold and damp around this time of year, much to my surprise.
While standing around watching how they seem to operate, I noticed they all seem to come out in droves late at night and the later it gets, the more hookers seem to congregate in this area. Although the place is immensely crowded with tourists walking back and forth all over the place, itīs still not too difficult for the observant prostitution-seeking monger to quickly figure out these ladies arenīt exactly just standing around waiting for a taxi.
Speaking of taxiīs, the chicas of Pizza Alley all seem to know each other, from taxi drivers who also stand there on the corner to street vendors selling, what appears to be stolen watches and other such small items. When I was negotiating a price with one chica, all eyes were focused on me from the other ladies, each trying to gain eye contact with me.
When I politely refused, I was then periodically approached by her co-workers who pitched a better sale with delivering quality service. One chica whom I did express an interest in, called Alexis quoted Cien Solis. (Hundred Soles)Bringing her back in a taxi to my hotel didnīt present a problem, but the hotel where Iīm staying at is quite a way out of the area of MiraFlores. The session was above-average and the service was as expected. I gave her taxi fare back to the area.
This area known as Pizza Alley should be on every mongers to-do list as there is quite a wide range of street girls to choose from.

MB,
Cien Soles is the normal asking price for about two hours. Peru's summer is Dec-Mar, with the weather cooling after that until late Nov. [Note: there are other areas of the country that are warm all year, or different climate if in the mountains, or jungle]
If you like good lasagne try Rusticas right at the entrance to Pizza Alley.

Maybe Masterbates watched the recent HBO special Sexo Urbano and just adopted it as his own. Fictional writing? Maybe.

For anyone that has been to Lima, certainly the Miraflores area and Calle de Pizza, the validity of the report should be obvious.
IF an HBO special portrayed the situation as he described it, then for once it was accurate and not a "Hollywood version" lacking authenticity.
There has been much written about Pizza Alley, Park de Kennedy, etc. To clear up any misconceptions or understandings one only needs read them. Pizza Alley is always on my list of stops during the day, whether afternoon or evening. For anyone going to Lima I recommend it.

The main street where the ladies of the evening actually congregate on, is: Av. Oscar R. Benavides and San Ramon (Pizza Alley) One other cause for concern when mongering here is, if you find yourself in such a festive mood where you end up slightly intoxicated, be very careful about who (or what) you find yourself negotiating a price with.
Yes Gentlemen, after dark, there are quite a few transvestites here who really do look like the real thing. I was almost fooled but somehow, something told me when I was approached by two slender attractive "girls" that this is too good to be true...and it was. I asked them if they were Drag Queens, to which one of them replied, "Does it really matter?"
While drinking at a few locations in Las Calles de las Pizzas last night, I was tempted to bring a chica back to my hotel room. One chica, Gisselle, promised "todo la noche" which I really didnīt believe and then quoted 150 Soles, to where I was able to bring it down to 100 Soles.
The session in the room was so-so at best. Nothing really worth reporting about. She was twenty-five, slightly chunky, long black curly hair, yet seemed to have somewhat of a hardened street look about her. She seemed to be too much in a rush which ruined the mood. She kept asking me to hurry up. I was done in less than an hour. I actually couldnīt get her out of the room fast enough.
Copperfieldkid, thanks for the currency info. I still really have no idea of how this currency system works. I cannot even read the coins properly. Yes, I know of Rusticas, the very front where the steps are, which face the main street is where the girls sit on. Iīve been eating at the restaurant which has the huge outdoor patio dining area directly across from Rusticas, called: Mezzaluna. Great food.
I quickly discovered Peruvians use different words in Spanish to desribe certain things. One example is, I was sitting at a patio table with a lady friend last night (hooker) and called out to the waitress, "Desculpe...masera." I was politely corrected by my date and was told the proper term for waitress in Peru is, "Azofota."
Again, one thing to keep in mind when mongering in this area is, they all know each other. In other words, they all operate through a small network with each other through eye contact, slight nods and smiles to signal to each other that there is a "John" in the area looking for company. This also includes the taxi drivers who assist the chicas in hooking a potential "John". Sometimes the taxi drivers themselves who stand at the entrance to Pizza Alley will promote the ladiesībusiness telling you which one gives good service. I quickly found this out when I refused the approaches of a couple of chicas, but did politely confirm I was "looking for female company."
JimmyDR: Wherever you stay in Lima, every taxi driver knows of Miraflores. If they still donīt know, just ask for "Parque de Kennedy." (named after President John F. Kennedy) It is also wise to use good common sense when approached by certain taxi drivers who show you naked pictures of strippers and tell you of a great night club they will take you to, which they claim is only four or five blocks from Miraflores. Again, common sense is the key factor here, as you never know what might be a set-up for a potential robbery. If youīre not sure, which in this case I wasnīt, just politely refuse and move on.
Happy mongering.

Copperfieldkid, thank you for your concern and for coming to my defense here. But in case you donīt know his history, this is Blazers. He is known for these types of postings. He has an axe to grind with me because I destroyed his credibilty when he tried to sabotage my previous postings about Indonesia.
One thing Iīve learned to do, is to just simply ignore him. And to further back up any story, (not that I really need to go to painstaking extremes to do so) but I have done my homework. Before I began posting, I contacted Hombre, told him where I was posting from, gave him my hotel, room number, real name and where the Internet cafe is from were Iīm typing these postings. As always, this should help aleviate any lingering suspicion from those such as Blazers who derive much pleasure in seeking entertainment by creating unncessary flame wars which only attempts to destroy the original content of the Trip Report.
Case closed.
Oh, BTW, I donīt even have HBO!

Masterbates,
nice reporting. BTY, I meant to mention Mezzalunas, it's actually my favorite as the foods pretty good, but the location for watching people enter/exit is perfect [as is Rusticas]. There may be a cute waitress there still [as she just graduated from college in June] named Liz, works nights from 5-12 or so, real sweet and speaks some English, always pleasant and a hard worker. Befriend her and she will always remember you,no matter how long before you return. Try the homemade hot chocolate there, I enjoy it with the cool weather. Also, go to the far end and on the left side is the English Pub, some nights its excellent for entertainment [live] and also a meeting place for non-pros. The orig. Eng Pub is a few blocks away on Ave Pardo and is a great place to meet women[again non-pros].

Copperfieldkid, did not meet Liz in Mezzalunas, because my waiter was an old man. Mind you, I ate there early afternoon yesterday, so maybe her shift isnīt until evening time. But I took your advice. I dined this afternoon at Rusticas. Great place, great service, great food.
What drew my attention to the fine exquisite outdoor patio establishment, wasnīt so much the nice cooking smells coming from the kitchen, nor the attractive photos of fine cuisine dishes on the menu, it was the three beautiful waitresses, all dressed in dark blue skin-tight denim which turned many heads in their direction, mine included.
These have got to be the most naturally beautiful waitresses I have ever seen, all slender with beautiful long black hair. And very friendly also. I had their pasta. Excellent food. I would definitely recommend Rusticas and the restaurant directly across called Mezzalunas for the hungry monger.
Once again, thanks for the going hooker prices as I am so lost with what to negotiate for and the rate of exchange here. I only wish Iīd known itīs cold here this time of year. Iīm walking around late at night seeking prostitution in this area practically freezing my balls off!
As for the English pubs, I was in that one you told me about, but I will look for the other English pub on Ave. Pardo later on tonight.
Happy Mongering.
Regards from Peru,
Master Bates.

Picking your resturants based on hot waitresses and not your stomach.......I do that myself.
Liz's shift begins around 5 or 6 and ends around midnight.
Regarding prices: $80-100USD for all night; 100soles for 1-2 hrs.
BTY, I have seen a few of the T_V's that come around, one was very attractive and it was only after I started a conversation with her/him that I realized something "extra" was included!
It's a jungle out there.

MB, you might be telling the truth this time but you never posted a report, never submitted authenticated photos and never responded to a avalanche of other Hombres accusing you of posting fake statements about Indonesia. Your credibility was already ruined way before I questioned it.

CFK,found myself back in "The Old Pub" again last night. Interesting environment, seeing as I grew up in Britain and drinking at this bar last night reminded me of when I lived in London. Iīm still looking for the other pub you told me about, Iīm sure itīs not too far away.
The problem is, when I asked a couple of taxi drivers who were standing on the end of the alley about another well-known British pub, similar to "The Old Pub," all they wanted to do is show me pictures of naked strippers and offer to take me to a "better place." Not that I mind, you understand, but sometimes Iīm in a relaxed drinking mood, before I get into a "mongering" mood.
Iīll try my luck again later. Iīm sure itīs not to far away from Pizza Alley. Oh, and in case you havenīt been here lately, almost the entire street behind the alley, which leads to the other bars on the side street is all dug up. They are improving the drainage/sewer system and the road dividing the bars on each side is a mess with fencing and construction vehicles all parked up and down the street.

MB,
those taxis only want to take guys to Club 69 or Emmanuels, both high end strip clubs, nice with beautiful women but pricey. I took another CH member there recently and we both took beautiful women back to our apartment for the night and had a great time, but expensive.
Walk up to Ave Pardo, at the far end of Kennedy Park. You will see a Saga store on corner, go across street. Go left for about a long block, next street go right and the other Old Pub is about two doors up from Pardo. You are very close to it. Or, from the Pub in Pizza alley walk up to Pardo that way and go right (but cross and get on other side) The street it is on has a Norkys on the corner, and it is diagonal from it on that side street. Hope this helps.

CFK, upon further observation of the cute witresses at Rusticas, they seem to begin their shift in the late afternoon/early evening time. There are two of them who are so hot, so similar in appearance, that they almost look like sisters.
I really wanted to strike up a conversation with one of them who kept smiling at me when I dined there again this afternoon, but couldnīt as the timing wasnīt right. I was in the company of a lady friend. (Oh, all right....hooker!)

Funny how a name can conjure up a certain image. I thought īPizza Alleyīwould be a real dumpy area. It is pretty classy infact, with lots of nice restaurants. Didnīt really notice any working girls there, probably I was too early, but then, it has been noted in this thread they kind of blend in with the tourists.
By Copperfieldkid on Sunday, January 04, 2009 - 07:37 pm: Edit |
Furysys,
the working girls show up around 8-9PM. Three discos are located along Pizza Alley that both pro & non-pros frequent should you want to check them out while in the area.

MM, with it's discos and many outdoor resturants/cafes, usually at least 2am. Later on Fri & Sat nights. Just depends on the crowd & weather.

RT here.
Furysys (above) and others have commented that Pizza Alley was not what they expected.
Well, I'm not sure exactly what they are expecting, but here's a recent video on YouTube. It is a promotion for a new line of women's panties, and it is shot with the models walking straight through Pizza Alley.
If you can take your eyes off of the underwear and pixilated tits long enough to look around, you can get an idea of what the street looks like in the daytime, without all of the people and hubbub.

I expected more women to be walking around, but instead found a few cool restaurants to eat at.
