I think I got overcharged once on drinks at a terma but did not pay attention.

When checking out I try to deal with the Asian gal who works the front desk. She doesn´t hit me up for a tip, she speaks English and damn she´s cute! The one with the big head of blonde curls and buck teeth is the most aggressive beggar. Dunno, maybe the girls tell them what chumps us foreigners are. If my Portuguese was better I would say ´give me a discount and I´ll give you a tip.´

I was there 5 times last week and never got hit up for a tip. YMMV I guess...

They just recently started this tip bullshit! I was there about 3 weeks ago and they asked me and all 5 of my friends for tips when checking out. One girl had a MAJOR attitude because I refused to tip them, I made sure I doublechecked my bill before I handed her any cash. It HAD to have been some American guys who started this shit, now they hitup every gringo who comes thru!!

The blonde was always asking me for a "cheep" last year. The first time I looked at her like a dumbass asking, "What chip?" I thought I was supposed to have some sort of chip.

I assumed she asked anyone who looked non-brasileiro, because the brasileiros would never give a cheep.

May be we talk about the same bar, unless they changed furniture, I remember seeing cheap sofas and loveseats against the wall, definitely NOT plastic bench..another bar is the DRINKING Bar, I was refused entrance, but I see some Brazilians with very expensive suits entered..may be the domain of the superrich...It is also downstair and in the opposite end of the Bar mentioned above
Also check out " THE SULTAN ROOM" in portuguese "Sulta~o", unbeatable by any World standard, Private room with bar ,own system music and a dancing floor, costs 300R for an hour a while back

In regards to the Sulta~o suite, I've been there twice. Here is my recollection.

After I crawled out of Aeroporto, I shot up the street to 4x4. I arrived in there around 7pm & there were plenty of good looking women. I floated back & forth between the 2 bars (there is one in the front that everyone hangs out in which is WAY overcrowded and a large bar in the back which is always empty). I'll go check out the girls in the front bar for a few minutes & then spend a few minutes breathing/resting in the back bar. Several of the termas have different levels of suites. At 4x4, they have suite (1 hr; 140 reais), super suite (1.5 hrs, 280, jacuzzi) and super, super suite (1.5, 350). I went for super, super suite and for those of you that have been to a honeymoon suite, it would have seemed familar. It had the biggest damn bed I've ever seen in my life (big canape which my girl couldn't resist hanging from & swinging by her arms - I thought that the whole damn thing was going to come crashing down), one of those teak slated jazuccis complete with a waterfall. The super, super suiche was great & y'all should check it out some day.

The sultan suite is definitely the nicest that I've visited so far in the Rio termas.

just went 4x4 for the first time.wow!!!! somewhat overwhelming amount of garotas in there. all shapes and sizes......something for everyone. tried a suite.....fantastic. will definately visit each trip from now on.

4x4 has moved to the top of my list...they have got some real talent in here for a great price...last night they had 180 girls packed in here...bad part is there are just as many guys in here...hard to chat with the girls once the party gets going...but for R150 one hour and the level of talent they have..deal with it if you dont get there early...

I finally agree with a few of you...They have talent that equals centaurus...I found two of the most beautiful I have seen on my trips so far in here last night...

4X4 is awesome and I picked a fantastic one (Simone), but the place just gets too packed. It is best to get there early, like 3:30 pm. You can get a beer, relax and the ratio is like 8:1. At 3:30 there are about 80 woman and that grows to 170 as the evening progresses.

The back bar is the spot for the making out. Each girl is different, but I have never had any balk at a little quiet time in the back bar before hitting the cabina.

Went to 4X4 again yesterday. Fantastic as always. I also mispoke. Last Tuesday, they had a special party and that was why there was 170 garotas and probably an equal number of hombres.

Yesterday was much more manageable. About 100 women and 50 guys. When it isn't so frantic, talking and making out is possible. I actually like it when they do a lap dance for you.

About locals..they have their own bar downstairs..they finally let me down there last night but only to see the place..it seems only locals businessmen allowed..this is not the back bar many miss..actually do 180 at front desk and go down steep flight of stairs...it seemed no big deal to me as girls where from the upstairs part..dont know what extras they get there...they were not wearing robes as they entered from outside street...

Great selection 4x4 last thursday. I got there between 3-4 and there were 10 guys & about 50 girls. A bunch of more girls started at 4 and then again at 5 & the place was great early. But 9pm or so, there was no reason in the world to be in there so it got too damn crowded. All the good looking girls were racing up & down the stairs, a line was forming for the cabines, the boites was about 95 degrees in the shade. I walked up the street to Termas 65 & it was the same story. Time to head for one of the non-downtown termas at that point.

My advice is get there early & get the hell out of there when the crowd arrives.

Terma 4x4 was the largest terma I visited with the largest selection of girls. Located downtown, this terma is frequented by many locals and becomes packed at times, making it overcrowded and difficult to walk. The large selection offered a good number of beauties. It would probably be my favorite if it didn't get so crowded. 4x4 is a good place to hit early before the business guys get off work. My selection was a very nicely tanned garota with an extraordinary bunda. Dood saw her and we agreed she was one of the top lookers there.

The best at the moment. reminds me of the cocodrilo night club in buenos aires. full house everytime we visited. ratio of men2women is 3:1. After 7pm, waiting time for suite is around 30m.
