Went in last weekend, and found they did some remodeling. They lowered the main stage to ground level and took out the one next to the wall. Now there's more room, but they had the lights so low I could barely see the dancer. Which, after seeing her up close, I think was a good thing.

VL,
Must have been awhile,,,,, lowed that stage two years ago (or more)..... Ensenada has been dead since Labor day weekend... recently I stood in the middle of Lopez Mateos at 11:00pm on a Saturday night and there was not a single car in either direction,,,,,, never seen that before..

I think you mean Afro. They took their stage down a year or two ago. El Pescador (aka Deny's Bar) remodeling is something more recent, within the year.

Visiting Denny's last weekend, we found that most of the dancers were a little large, some downright chubby. There was one exception, a thin, young girl with long black hair. She was very friendly as well, maybe because there weren't very many other customers, and the two of us seemed to be the only one's tipping the dancers on stage. After her totally nude set, she came and sat with us, and we seperated so she could sit between us. She loved it, telling us it is her fantasy to be with two guys at the same time. The free tequila shots were having an effect on us, and when we told her which hotel we were staying at, she said she would come visit us after work, at 4:00 a.m. No price was mentioned, but she did say we would have to pay five dollars for her cab fare. Later, after getting something to eat, we realized that this plan would not be a good idea, so we went back to the bar, and told her not to come at 4:00 a.m., and that we would probably see her at work the next night. Maybe we made a mistake, as it could have been a great time, but there were some other considerations. It turns out we left town the next day, and did not return to the club, and we are both wondering what we may have missed out on.

I came in this place on a Friday night in September. Talent seemed fair relative to other nearby clubs, but a far drop from the selection I'm accustomed to in Tijuana. I saw two girls that were doable, but it would have been hard to justify what I expected to be a $100 minimum for just doable girls.
My mineral water here was the least expensive, but they served it in a glass and I never saw a bottle, so this made me a little uncomfortable.
I preferred both Paris and Jacarandas, but El Pescador/Denny's will probably be worth another look.
More details on this and other places as well as a map and pictures are in my Ensenada Report
