I have never been to Nuevo Laredo but would like to. What are the best bars in town? Is there a good selection of SG's? or would you suggest Bar girls. What are the going rates for chicas? Could you recommend any decent hotels (both sides of the border) and restaurants? How safe is N.L.?? Thanks!

By Bushpilot on Sunday, November 05, 2000 - 05:54 pm:  Edit

The number 1 draw in Nuevo Laredo is BoysTown. It is an enclosed area run by the government and is very safe. There are 3 very good hooker-bars within the compound called Papaguyos, Tamykos, and Marabu. Papaguyos is easily the best. Short time is $60 + 6 for the room.

These 3 bars are on the same street. Cabs usually leave you at Papaguyos. If you look down the street you will see a Japaneese Pagoda. That is Tamykos. Marabu is directly across the street. After that is a TV area. The next street over street girls.

For a first trip I would stay on the US side and check out the night time action in BoysTown. BoysTown is dead during the day and doesn't get going until 9:00. Walk across the border at the old bridge and grab a cab for BoysTown - $10.

Adelito,

Thanks for putting this up. It's a good warning. The bars past Tamykos and Marabu, especially Miramar and Western, are TV bars. One should avoid that area. Also Marabu was not that well rated at RedSnake, IMO, but was mentioned as a good meeting place and as a good place to discover new gems. The reasons for this is that although it has a great decor, it is poorly managed and does not have the same quality of chicas as Papagayos. To the newbie, Don't go anywhere with Jaun, Pedro, or in this case Chris.

By Adelito on Saturday, November 18, 2000 - 11:35 am:  Edit

I will be back in Dallas for more training in a week, and I can't stand to be away from the chicas for too long so I will give BT another chance. I guess the only places I will trust are Papagayos and Tamykos. They really were pretty nice. Has anybody else become a spnish music fan. I was going through my cd's and I realized I have purchased about 40 spanish cd's in the last year. In fact I hear this music in my sleep and 4 of the 5 presets on my radio are set to spanish stations. The last 3 concerts I attended were all spanish. I never, ever listened to this stuff before I discovered AB/CC. And now it is all I want to hear besides the news. My family and friends that don't know about AB think I have gone nuts. Of the friends that do know about it, 1 is as much a fan as me.

Hey Adelito,

My friends think I'm nuts too, basically went from AC/DC to AB/CC musicwise! Unfortunately I missed my window of opportunity to go to NL a few weeks ago when I got hit with the flu or whatever was going around, so the various reports from you guys about NL and Boystown fascinate me.

I forget who it was but I followed one of you guys over to the Yahoo site where one of the NL chicas is actually running a board/club all about NL. Though she actually works in a downtown club instead of BT I thought it was pretty cool to actually hear from a working girl, feedback we don't seem to have here. The problem over there is it seems only guys who have never been to Mexico post and they only post cyber-jerk off BS. Why don't some of you NL vets try to get her to post over here as well? Direct feedback from the girls means a whole lot more than us "mongers" trying to guess what's going through their minds. Check it out,
http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/normasheartbreakershotel

You have to join the "club", part of why I hate the Yahoo format but it's not a big hassle and once you get it out of the way joining the other clubs is no big deal.

Oh and I'm randingoxlh on Yahoo.

Brothers Adelito and Red,
Completely understand where you're comin' from on the music thang...I am now SUPER into Latin rock, mostly because chicas I know turned me on to stuff, and because I heard things in TJ clubs I liked and had to have it. And I've even bought a bunch of cumbia compilations in recent months. If you want an instant AB memory surge, get the Los Angeles de Charly CD--'Mentiras' and 'Busquenla (Antidoto)' are my faves, mostly because they are connected to certain chicas who spent some wonderous moments with me...

When I started knowing the differences to the types of spanish music, and preferring some to others, thats when I knew I was over the edge. Kind of like when I would start thinking in Spanish.

Hey Brother K-Rock,
I'm witcha 100%. Way I see it, it's significant when some folks say they don't like the word "brother" 'cause that means they don't understand ni jota de "Brotherhood"--which is, of course, about fellowship, giving, *keeping secrets*, *loyalty*, etc., instead of constantly seeking to exploit every opportunity you can for your own selfish interests. Too bad for them what don't get it--I guess that must be an unhappy world to live in. Me, I'm off to TJ tomorrow to hang with some of my BRUTHAS, who are such 'cause I know they won't be spreadin' tales about me, slaggin' me off behind my back, or tryin' to charge me for every tip they give me, 'cause they GET the idea of Brotherhood.

Brother RickF,
You beat me to it on that one, my brutha! Nicely put.

See ya in the clubs! I'm outta here!

By Adelito on Monday, November 20, 2000 - 11:02 pm:  Edit

Hey Ritmo,
Excellent advice on the Los Angeles de Charly. Just used the great Napster to bring it to me and I got so excited about seeing AB that I called 2 buddies to firm up a Wed. night excursion. Are you familiar with Los Angeles Azules? They must have 8 songs that get played over and over at AB. Also Una Aventura by Banda la Costena is a regular. Talento de Television by Willie Colon is good. 123 by El Simbolo and try this one...El de los Ojos Negros, by Sparx. Also La Cumbia del Garrote by Los del Garrote is an AB favorite. A nice romantic song by Marco Antonio Solis is Si no te Hubieras Ido.
I just realized that this would probably be more suited to the TJ music thread...sorry.

Brother A,
Good call on moving the thread to Music of the Zona. Look over there for my response.

BT in my opinion can't come close to TJ. The women are not as plentiful, more expensive, and not nearly as attractive as TJ. I did want to say that the Cadillac Bar is excellent with great meals. There is a new club next door to Maribu, on the left side of Maribu if you are looking straight at Maribu. It is a strip club, but some of the girls are decent and not high volume. I picked up one girl for $70 and we went to one of the rooms in the back. (they are not very nice) She works at La Cava in Monterrey, a strip club. She lives in Monterrey and comes up to BT just for Friday and Saturday. Otherwise, between BT and TJ, it is TJ with a factor of 10. It was interesting, because the girls in BT seemed more expensive at $60 to $70 than the girls in TJ, but the beer was less.

By Adelito on Saturday, November 25, 2000 - 12:54 am:  Edit

It seemed more xpensive at BT to me too. I think TJ has way better selection+you don't have to worry about tv's, but BT is a nice place, even if they have dirt roads. I will be there in 2 weeks, so if anybody else will be there at the same time, let me know.

What is Papagayo's like on Sunday afternoons? Are there any quality girls anywhere on Sunday afternoons?

By Willb on Thursday, March 08, 2001 - 11:58 pm:  Edit

Anybody have info on the 123 club? Is it just a strip clib or can you go back to the rooms. I've been to BT about 5 or 6 times. The last time was the end of Oct 2000 Thurs. and it was kind of dead. I mean the whole place Papa's and Tamiko's had some action but nothing like the other times I have been there.
At the 123 club the firat couple of times I went to BT there was room action. but the last 2 times I was there I didn't see anyone go to the rooms. The chicas at 123 tend to be much young that the other clubs, abd that what peeks my interest.

Any info is appreciated.
Thanks

Just found out my company is sending me back to Big D in 2 weeks for 2 weeks. That means there will be a weekend in between with nothing scheduled...my oh my whatever shall I do with this free time? I know, I know, stupid question. Of course I will be making the drive to Papagayo's. I'm not going to bother with any of those other places(no quiero jotos, gracias). So it seems as though I will be there April 6-8. I wonder if either of those 2 beauties from last time will be there(Ximena or Elsa). If anybody else will be there let me know.

By Balam on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 - 09:07 pm:  Edit

Oh, keep an open mind, bro... I really have met some superfine chicas in Tamyko and Marabu, where you'll definitely find no jotas... Esp. with Marabu, gotta take it slow and hang out a bit and you'll realize that there ARE indeed women there. And talk to Sr. Sanchez, the dignified, not-too-tall elderly gent with grey hair, he often calls women in to the club when there's demand, he'll do well by you. Also--*I* would recommend Martha's Club, the one with the donkey outside... ok yes, there ARE TVs there too, but you can spot 'em a mile a way, not to worry, they won't bother you; and there are a few real sweetiepies who usually work there and you can usually go to a room there for $40, all expenses included.

April Trip
Seems I will now be there the weekend of 4/27 - 4/29. Expedia price from DFW now down to $162. Now stay on US side and walk over to taxi? or stay on Mexico side like I did last time in TJ?

Hey Juan,
I arrive in D this Sunday and will be there for almost 2 weeks with the exception of the little side trip to Nuevo Laredo, which will be Friday 4/6 to Sunday 4/8. I will actually be in Richardson...20 miles north of downtown Dallas. I can't wait. 3 buddies and I went down to Adelitas Tuesday night and had a blast. We got there about 7pm and had to leave at 9pm because I had to go to work for a couple hours at 11pm. None of us wanted to leave, we were all having such a good time. I went upstairs with this chica named Yulma...she's soooo good looking, and good upstairs. I've known her for almost 2 years. She only works for a month or 2 at a time and then goes home. She says she is leaving 4/15 so if anybody wants to try out this hottie that stands in Hottie Central, you've got 2 weeks then she's gone...maybe forever. She is very short and thin with dark hair. She had a boob job last year and they are pretty good, but she doesn't like much handling of them, maybe still sore. She has a sister named Mayte that used to alternate between AB and CC, but is now apparently at Papagayo's in NL...think I'll look her up, never had sisters before. Anyway Juan, by all means give me a shout if you'll be around. Just click on my name for the email address.

Just returned from my quarterly pilgrimage to NL and am posting some info that may be interesting.

Went to the New Horseshoe downtown sat. night at 8pm. Place was loaded with chicas in the 18-24 range. A band on stage was playing covers of Los Angeles Azules and other popular dance tunes. The dance floor was full and it was a great time. The girls seem split between those who want to talk to thier friends, smoke cigarettes, and dance vs those who are out to make money. The hotel is just around the corner. I liked the nice (mexican)
girl next store look of the chicas. I like dancing and talking with the girls myself so i found it to be a good time. There aren't nearly as many dancing oppurtunities in boystown itself as there are in TJ, so this represents a nice alternative.
Went back sat. afternoon at 2pm and there were a fair amount of girls with more constantly arriving. The lack of a band limited the dancing, but this is a good alternative to paying $20 to go to Boystown in the afternoon by cab.
I think the $10 each way for the cab is bullshit and can offer this reasonably safe alternative to return by bus. When you leave the compound turn right and walk along street paralleling the wall until you reach a large multistreet intersection with a gas station. Bus's from here take you to the edge of downtown, about 5 blocks from the bridge. This alternative makes sense until about 9 or 10 at night. Since i find that I rarely head back before 6am anyway, have a couple more bears and talk with some drunk chica until 7am and then it should be safe to take the bus. I don't recomend taking the bus there as it's confusing.

One other thing about the girls at the Horseshoe is trips to the room will cost around $20 less then Papaguyos given the same level of negociating effort. On the downside, these girls definitly don't have the health cards like those in boystown. Which the part timers probably prefer as they aren't registered as sex workers.
The Boystown health cards are actualy little calender books. Every week they get blood tests for Aids, Syphillus and Hepititus. They also have visual inspections of all three orifices. These books are stamped with official looking stuff. Amazingly the waiters are also required to have these books. (and I assume the tv's also).
Lastly, the quantitiy and quality of young non fat chics in Boystown is really improving. Check out 1-2-3, the number of sweethearts was amazing. They may not be quite the level of the AB hotties in TJ, but they are not high volume chinga machines either. Don't be shy, becuase some of the best one's don't yet have the boldness to approach gingo's.

Thanks p.r. for the informative post. Coupla comments/questions:

1. Suppose I'm staying in one of the hotels in downtown NL anyway--will the chicas from Nueva Herradura generally be willing to go to YOUR hotel (short time or else all night)? Is there are bar fine?

2. Gotcha on 1-2-3. I've been noticing too but let me share two experiences. About a month ago, I sat with a chica there named Natalie, from Mty, early 20s, really cute. But when I asked her about going al cuarto, she said she didn't want to. Why? I asked. I'm scared, she said. Of me? I asked. No of getting pregnant. I was really nonplussed (and DISAPPOINTED). At that point I was sceptical whether there even WAS a cuarto and I kind of razzed the gang of meseros outside, but they were like OH, Natalie won't go to the cuarto but the rest will. Yeah right I said. ANYWAY, I was back last week and can report that I did, in fact, take a chica (Nancy, cute curvy but VERY short blond) al cuarto. BUT--the cuarto, thru the alley behind the club, was INSANELY hot, a good 15-20 degrees above the ambient outdoor temp (itself still in the 90s despite it being about 10pm). And, there was a really slimy pimp-seeming guy who tried to charge me $70 when I'd negotiated with Nancy for $40. Another thing about 1-2-3 is that chica drinks are relatively pricey. Still, you can't deny that the current crop are super cute, plentiful, fairly shy, and UNDERPATRONIZED. So go for it guys...

By Doctorgood on Monday, July 23, 2001 - 04:50 pm:  Edit

Unless things have changed , there is no bar
fine on the girls from the Herradura because
only part of the girls are whores. Some of the
girls are only there for drinking, dancing and the
band. I am the guy who orginally posted on the
clubs downtown. The gringos only knew about
Boystown and have been missing the action downtown and it is nice to see some of that experience is being used.
Which usually requires some Spanish.. although
the girls will work with you if you only know
English. You can find a girl who will go to
your hotel , but you have to look and talk them
up.
On my way into Nuevo Laredo from the airport on the Texas side I had a taxi driver
who filled me in on the scene downtown and I asked
him to drive past some of them on the way to the
Reforma Hotel on the main plaza downtown. Staying
at the Reforma meant I was within close walking
distance of all the clubs and there are even
some street girls late at night roaming around
in the downtown section. When I got inside
the Herradura, nothing was going on downstairs
and I played like I knew what I was doing and
went upstairs where I could hear a band playing
and there were all kinds of girls hanging around
and most of them seemed like semi-pros to amateurs.... the big tip off as to what kind of
place I was in were the porno movies played on
TV sets scattered around. You can get girls for
half what you can find in Boystown and some of
them are better looking...Regards Doctorgood

Balam and Doctorgood

Another sure sign that there's no bar fine is that the girls seem to roam freely from this place to the place around the corner Las Jarochas. I read somewhere that New Herradura wasn't gringo friendly, but this isn't the case, in fact they even have the exchange rate on the sports bar illuminated ticker tape sign.
Doctor, what other places have you been to? Everyone I talked to seemed to feel that the New Herradura was the highlight of the downtown action. You had the right approach by talking with a U.S. cabby, the Mexican cab drivers are understandably reluctant to discuss this as it undercuts the $10 cab ride cartel.
Doctor, how much is the reforma hotel? What is it like. I've been reluctant to stay in NL, since the Rio Tower hotel in the US is a 5 min. walk to the bridge and with a little talking, I get a rate of $69 for a nice room. I've never seen the point of an allnighter when you can drink and screw around in Boystown till 6 in the morning, but i'd like to try it if the NL hotel was clean and had in room safes or some other security arrangement.

Balam, I think part of the problem at 1-2-3 is that it's so geared toward locals sitting and drinking for hours that it's slightly embarrasing for the girls to be seen going out the back way with a guy. I've even seem cheering/ heckling when a couple made the long walk to the back. The place is so big and empty that there's no diguising what's going on. But that's part of the charm of dealing with beginners.

By Doctorgood on Tuesday, July 24, 2001 - 11:28 am:  Edit

Perorojo- The Reforma was in the $40-45 range. It was quite a long time ago that it was THE luxury
hotel in NL however it has good airconditioning, cable tv, adequate rooms and
furnishings, restraunt and bar open 24hours and
a parking lot behind the hotel and is just off
the main square. I have been in Las Jarochas and
the place was really hopping with a live band and
there was almost no place to sit down and appeared
to have quite a few amateur working girls. The next time I go I am going to get there around 1000 pm which would be on the early side to made chica
selection easier.
I have never missed anything from my
room at the Reforma but I didnt have any electronics and didnt leave any cash in my luggage. I usually talk to the maid, you can
hear them cleaning the rooms, and give her an
extra tip for some extra towels or I leave a written message with a very courteous greeting and
a tip for some extra towels. The maids working
there have been at it for a long time and they
dont have trouble with theft. I like staying downtown because I can get to the Herradura and
the other clubs or just relax in the plaza with
those big palm trees overhead and the natural
juice stands are open all night.
At the 1-2-3 in Boystown I have noticed some
younger girls like 19-20 years of age doing strip shows and
generally have liked the place but never went to
their rooms . I think I would take the girl to
the rooms at another club if it were too hot.

Doctorgood, thanks much for all the extra info. Where is Las Jarochas?

Also, interesting idea about taking a girl from club A to one of the rooms at club B. That works? You've tried it?

Perorojo, I've also stayed in the Reforma, 3 years ago. Nice, pretty clean, big rooms, good a.c., good little restaurant downstairs, but the rooms were a bit worn out and the beds/pillows like cement. More recently I've stayed (practically) next door at the Meson del Rey, same side of Guerrero, directly opposite the park. The hotel sign, for some reason, is missing so you have to hunt for the lobby door. It is likewise big and comfortable, a bit cheaper ($390 for double), but had somewhat unreliable heating/AC (check it's working properly when being shown your room).

Btw, Doc and P.R., I was once taken to another club downtown that seemed pretty good. It's JUST off the southeast corner of the same park where the Reforma and Meson del Rey are--look down the two streets projecting south and east beyond that corner of the park (forget which!) and you'll see, nearby, a club that says "Ladies Club" on its sign. There. There was a goodly number of passable chicas there the Thurs. night last Dec. that I was there, and the owner was friendly, had lived in CHicago, and spoke very good English.

Perorojo, good point about the "walk" at 1-2-3 being a bit embarassing... I think when I was there last week I made it even worse. 'Cause since the drinks are pricey, and I'd been burned last time with a chica who accepted two drinks but then didn't want to go to the room, I simply walked right up to a chica who had recently finished her strip act, chatted a very short while, and then asked if she wanted to go to the room. She looked PRETTY surprised, but was fine with it. And there sure were a few pairs of eyes following us as we walked back...

Balam-Las Jorochas is on the south side of the
street. I cant remember exactly but if you take
a right when you leave Herradura then Jorachas
is maybe a block down the street:however it may
it on the next street south-kinda sure though
that it is on the same street. Easy to find just
jump into a cab before going to Boystown and
ask to see herradura and then Jarochos, then make a map-they get alot of the younger age girls there
I noticed but it is very loud when the band is
playing and crowded-I have the address in my notebook and if I can find it I will give some
exact directions.......Regards doctorgood

Has anyone ever tried a chica named Mary Cruz, or she may also go by Sophia out of Maribu. I had her a few months ago, and my god she fucked my brains out, one of the best lays ever, BBBJ, the works. Said she's from Monterey, about 5'2", on the gordita side but not grotesque, decent sort of cute face, C cups, with a happy-hooker smile, and she giggles a lot. Anyone know if she's still around, she'd be real easy to spot at Maribu if she's still there, since there were only like 5 chics working there when I was there, with her being the only one getting customers all the time. She's got excellent customer service skills, if you guys haven't tried her yet you should, and let me know if she's still in town.
Thx.

It was so good last night I'm going to delay the particulars of this trip until tomorrow as I am on my way back across as soon as I post this. Boystown was wild for a Thursday night, surprisingly and should be more so tonight!

I was there last night too. Yeah, seemed pretty ok but I figured it was just by comparison to Xmas/New Years, plus I'd been going on Wednesdays which kinda sucked. I ended up hooking up with two old favoritas (a SG, and an old fave from Tamykos who surprised me by surfacing at Pgo's). Frankly, I didn't once get that feeling "WOW, who is SHE, gotta GET some!" despite thorough checks of Pgo, Mar., Tko, Tabu, 1-2-3, Shamrock, and the SGs. (Just laying down a little gauntlet for ya, I'll be curious to her about what I may have been missing!)

Speaking of that, I noticed a lot of moving around--2 SG's I'd known from the "bottom street" turned up in new (SG) locations, and the room of another I'd been looking for was occupied by someone else.

Anyway, let us know what you liked about it Thurs. night.

Nuevo Laredo 17 Novembre 02

Arrived at BT later than planned and was surprised at the crowd on hand for a Thursday night, especially around midnight. As my favortia had not come to work that night and her telephone had be disconnected, I decided to check out the action. Started at the Maribu, as usual. Good selection of Chicas on hand, ranging from 6-8's, all occupied when I arrived. Wasn't interested though as that is where my favorita works and didn't need the hassle. So after 6 "adult beverages", went walking around the compound. On the street across from the Western Club there seems to be an influx of young, real young petite chicas from the interior. Cute as hell, no english, prices from $10 and up. Passed on them as I prefer more than what they can provide. I checked out the New Shamrock Club. Same ol same ol; 4's & 5's with an occasional 7 thrown in. Mucho gorditas, Perhaps it ought to go back to the Old Shamrock. A bit better then as I recall. Don't care much for Papagayos so went to Tamykos next. The place is dead. 3 chicas for every customer. No new faces. Approched by a chica named Ariana who immediatly started giving me a had job at the bar wanting to go to the room. Real pushy but kinda cute. Had a rack on her that stuck nout from here to yonder though, made you forget about the few extra pounds she was carrying.Prices quoted was $30.00 for 45 minutes but I could have her and her friend Connie for $80.00 for a full hour plus $20 for the room. Both these ladies looking at the other side of thirty easily but still nice. Connie speaks excellent English and lives on the premises. Nice body, "C" cups. Without going into detail worth every penny paid. Full hour, dual massage and then about 15 minutes all piled up together. It's now about 2:30 in the morning and Tamykos is closing. Can't find the guys I brought down. Juat as well since one is in jail and the other two have had their money stolen by TV's on the street. The other two have taken off for parts unkown. three days later I still haven't heard from them. So it's on to Papagayos. Too much proffessional talent here for my taste. You kniow the type. Blonde hair, big tits (store bought) with an attitude. They just ain't my cup of tea. I'm looking for the typical mexican provincial firl. Black hair and eyes, comfortable body. There is one but she's tied up all night although she sits there casting her eyes my way and smiling whenever the guy she's with isn't looking. He's the typical loudmouthed gringo that makes it hard for the rest of us. Get approached by two blondes, one hard core, the other barbi doll cute that want to do another threesome but as it's getting on towards 5 in the a.m. and they ain't my type, I pass!

Nuevo Laredo 18 Novembre 02

After a day of recovery, head back over the border to Boystown, this time for the overnight. Check into the Villa Real, and head for the zona. Getting there about seven on a Friday night, it is D E A D! They're just opening up the Maribu, so I make that my first stop. My favorita shows up about 8 and after explaining her mother is visiting from Monclovia, we head for the motel. Still have to barfine the owners $30.00 but it's a bargain and twice that. Now this lady, jesus, what can I say. Looks nice in the bar, but away from the bar, au natural, fantastic. All I'm going to say is spent all night Friday and part of Saturday in la cama. She had to go home for an hour and let her mother know what was up and then back to the motel. In the rack Saturday afternoon stopping only long enough to grab a steak at the hotel restaraunt, and back for more. Planned on heading to Juarez on Saturday because of obligations there, but finally got away from Nuevo Laredo Sunday morning. Delores had to go home to do laundry, grocery shopping and get the kids ready for school tomorrow and this old man was wore out. I think she's convinced to leave the bar life behind so I may be moving my base from Juarez to NL in the very near future. Seems like the ladies and the people in general are more refined and educated in NL than they are in Juarez or maybe it's my imagination. Anyways, more later on!

No idea about taking them off premises. But you can do 'em in one of the rooms off the courtyard that's out the back door of the club (lefthand back corner from the perspective of someone entering the front door). As I recall I paid $35 to the chica and $5 for the room for 1/2 hour.

It can be done, believe me.
