Great City, very prosperous with good infrastructure. Anyway, you can see the review provided by Thenightprowler on trip reports of redsnake for a general view of what is happening in Monterrey. This report will be a supplement. I visited one estetica "massage" establishment. The cost was $50 for everything. 4 girls, all relatively poor in quality. The facility was not that nice. A cab driver, whom I hired for $13 per hour, took me there, so I don't recall the name. He took me there for a quick and inexpensive lay. There are about 5 brothels, the best is Divin (or Divian). The facility is about 4 star quality. The woman are about 8 on a scale of 10. You can have a drink, sit in a private room to get warmed up with company. There are about 8 girls. They have bedrooms which are awesome, better than most hotel rooms. The cost is $150 for a girl and room for one hour. The woman are there to make sure you have a goodtime and leave satisfied. They are professionals. A new brothel is Cascades, same format but the girls are not as good and rooms are not as nice. Same price. If this is your route just go to Divian and not waste anytime. The real benefit to Monterrey are the strip clubs. There are many and the woman are beautiful. Obessions and Prestige are the upscale spots. They have the same owner. The girls are awesome and the cost is $300 to take them for 2 hours. Poisson and La Suage are great and owned by 2 brothers. I liked La Suage (sp?) the best. I night I went in they had 30 beautiful women. I ended up with one for $150, and she was awesome. Beautiful, great body, great personality, great sex, etc. The super thing about the strip clubs is that you can take the girls to the hotel at anytime, you don't have to wait till they get off work and they all go. This is unlike Madonas or Bolero, where less that 50% will go and you have to wait till they get off work, which is often after 3am. The woman at the strip clubs in Monterrey are much more attractive that the ones at Madonas and Bolero and available. Otherwise the straight "sex workers" at the massage parlors and brothels are not even close to the quality in TJ. My recommendation is to go to the strip clubs, select who you want and take them to your Hotel. The talent pool in the strip clubs is awesome. Another tip, on Saturday night, there are many fiestas throughout the city and a lot of the girls just choose not to work, because they have many family obligations. Most of the girls are from Monterrey, which again is different from TJ where the girls are from all over the country and they don't have their family in town. Monterrey is more prosperous than TJ and it seems the cost for the girls is greater.

There are definitely bargains to be found in Monterrey, but I have found quality to be lacking. I don't make a beeline for the premium upscale establishments, though, and don't really know anything about them, am not familiar with the places mentioned in the post above.

The redlight district of Monterrey, however, is right smack in the middle of Centro, starting about two blocks from the 'Centro' metro train stop and an equidistant from the main bus station. There are a good 60+ cantinas in a 10 square block area, with Villagran St. being the center of most of the action. That's NOT to say that all of these cantinas are worth going into, but most will have at least a half dozen girls, though in Monterrey, old, fat and used up looking is the NORM. That's not to there is NO quality, just that it's not easy to locate and may be expensive when you find it.

If you wanna get laid quickly, easily, and cheaply, the MP's are the best bet. All that I have been to are brothels and nothing more, no massage will be offered.

If you are still there, try the strip clubs. They are great. Try Obsessions and Prestige. The clubs are much better that the ones in TJ and you can get some of the girls to go with you to your hotel. I hired a cab driver to take me around everywhere and he was familiar with all the places. A lot of business people come to Monterrey with a lot of money and some time in the evening, hence the quality of the strippers is awesome at the right spots. I felt it was better to go to the strip clubs and pick up someone than the brothels or MPs. AB and CC in TJ are better that the brothels in Monterrey, but the strip clubs in Monterrey are much better that TJ. I have great memories of Monterrey!!

Try Devan or Devine. The girls are as good as the Clubs and no big bill. The cost for sex is a little steep, you are looking at 140 USD.

Friday Jan. 21.
I arrived in MTY from DFW and checked into the Fiesta. After several hours of sales work with my coworkers, walk out to the cab stand and picked my driver, Frank. After explaining what I wanted, he quoted $20.00 for all the driving I needed, recommendations on places to avoid and general layout of the city. Off we went.

The first place was my old stopping grounds THE JOCKEY CLUB, located at 129 Ave. Matamoros and Cruz Con Guerrero.

Arrangements are made on my companies sales calls and the rest of the day is mine...............off to Boystown.

I leave the LaPasada, cross the pedestrian bridge, hail a cab on the other side, say "Boystown" and I am there in 12 min. and $10.00 after leaving the hotel. First stop is world famous PAPAYAGO'S. 9 p.m. at night and the place is starting to fill up with women and oddly enough, deer hunters from south central Texas, winter deer season. You guys coming from the States to Monterrey should get the hell out of the tourist route and visit other strip clubs besides Prestige, Obession, Amnesia and the new Metropolis (or Premiere... same place). The biggest problem with mongering in Monterrey is that the Sol newspaper comes out in the afternoon. So, if you are like me, and have limited time in the ciy, by the time the paper comes out with all the promotions, many have already expired. Bwaaaaaaaaahhh!

The only time I was in Monterrey I had a blast thanks largely to the info I got here. The MP scene here is wonderful, I only dabbled into the strip club arena, next time this will get some attention. I also want to know about having a girl come over for toda la noche. I know how to do this in NL, but my experience in Monterrey last time kept me guessing as to how to do this down here. Anyone have the ins and outs of having a girl come over for the night (for not an insane amount of $$).

All-nighters may not be easy to set up, especially on a short visit. I'd say talk to as many chicas in the strip clubs as possible and feel them out about it. When 2 hour sessions go for between 1-200 bucks, doubling that for an all-nighter would make sense. If you can find a willing massage chica, you MAY be able to hook that up for 100 bucks, but I don't think it'd be easy. Unlike border towns, many of the working chicas in Monterrey go home to their families at the end of the night.

I don't want to disagree with my friend Porker, but I do not recomend MP girls for all nighters. First of all they are easy marks for security guards at the hotels. Secondly, I just don't recomend them.

You have to consider the hotel also. Some do not let overnight company in there premises.

There are many options, yes, but you need time to explore them.

Tourism question:

If I cross over in NL, and catch the bus to Monterrey, do I have to worry about the tourist visa thing? That sheet of paper you have to pay like $20 for if you want to go into anywhere but the border towns? Every time I went before, I drove and talked with the guards at the checkpoint. Do they stop and check busses? Or do they check you for the visa when you buy your ticket. Speaking of tickets, where in NL do I get one?

Yes Mac, they stop the buses at the 15 mile marker. Remember you are traveling 150 miles into Mexico.
It is for the best: get your tourist card at the border.

Regio, I am a changed man, as I'm sure you have noticed. I have spent less than 24 hours total in Monterrey in the last 4 months. Showing up on a Friday is now a rarity for me, and will probably stay that way for the near future as I try to maximize funds for the next trip to Asia.

Funny thing about going to Monterrey on the bus. In my experience if you go via Nuevo Laredo they will stop you and hit you up for the tourist tax. But if you go via Reynosa they don't do it...
