Well, Here's a new posting of an area I've never seen written about: Hermosillo MX.
A buddy and I went down just to do some adventuring. Stayed at Best Western Senorial on Kino Blvd. Not too bad a place, the cost was about
$45.00 for a nice clean "basic" room. My first impressions of Hermosillo was how safe I felt, and that this is a pretty large city. For any baseball fans out there, they have a pretty popular Mexican winter league team called the Naranjeros, which means "Orange Growers". Fernando Valenzuela plays each year, and still packs them in although he's about 40 years old. Anyway, we started the evening hitting a couple of strip clubs. Taxi driver took us to Obsessions which is owned by the same people who own and run the club in Nogales. Pretty much the same too, in a word: "Expensive"! When your used to the prices that you get in Nogales at Placers, Cherries, or Lipsticks, this place kinda shocks you! Try $16.00 for a tavle dance and $90.00 for a private! Ouch!
Once quoted these prices, we went to another club closer to our Motel, called Bossnia. This place is a real small club with only about 40-50 chairs surrounding a 6' X 20' stage. The guys at the door and serving the tables ALL, and I mean ALL got there hands out demanding extras for bringing drinks, etc; and I'm used to the complimentary tips we all give, but here it got a little rediculous, can't explain it, you just have to experience it to understand. The girls here, however, are pretty good looking, and, get this, no touching with the table dances, and at $6.00 I still expect to cop a feel, or insert a nipple or two in my mouth. I guess I'm spoiled with the Nogales clubs! The private rooms are $20 and you negotiate with the girls from there on. I didn't want to experiment with this, since I was shocked by the table dance policy and didn't want to throw my money away. After a couple a beers, we blew out a here as well and went back to the motel for what turned out to be a nice surprise: Street Girls in front of the Motel! A nice looking Blond and her more traditionally latina friend friend were offering BJ's for $50 up in our room, with a 20 minute guarantee. Still expensive from what is quoted at Nogales, and by a SG to boot, but, what the heck! When in Rome?...... Maybe that is the deal here, I don't know. Hermosillo is the capitol of Sonora, so maybe the prices and Strip Club laws are different, I really don't know....
All in all, Hermosillo is a pretty nice city, wouldn't be too bad to live in, but not much of a center of mongering. Next time, we're gonna try out San Carlos a little farther south.
Cheers,
Elfman

Elfman, I can't believe the timing of your report. I am planning a trip to Nogales in a few weeks - I had a thought about venturing south for a sidetrip to Hermosillo and catching Valenzuela's act. Just yesterday I was searching all over the net for any kind of info I could get on Hermosillo. Of course there was NONE to be found regarding the sex trade - until I click on good ole TJH this morning and there's a fresh detailed report from you.

I assume you drove down - can you add some info about how long the drive was, costs and requirements re: tourist visas and car permits. From what I read yesterday, it looks like you stop at a checkpoint about 15 miles south of Nogales where you have to go through an administrative morass to get everything you need to travel further south into Sonora - sounded like the ultimate DMV-type nightmare.

Head for GUAYMAS ... the fishing fleet come in there and when the girls make a deal it's for the nite.

By Elfman36 on Monday, January 01, 2001 - 05:45 pm:  Edit

Sure Erip:
It is a mess at the checkpoint. But I try to tell myself that it's nothing compared to what a Mexican national has to do just to visit America, so in that vein it's not too bad.
The tourist visa and car permits are 170 pesos each. It takes about 1/2 hour to go through the process.
Again, don't mistake the Hermo' clubs for the Nogales ones. Much more expensive and personally I liked the quality in Nogales much better. The SG's
were a nice surprise, but still overpriced.
If you find out something more please post, my Espanol is not too good to extract alot of info, so I just went on what I experienced.
If you want to read a good article on Fernando, check out the L.A. times website @ sports.latimes.com and do a search for any baseball articles and you'll get a good interview

By Erip on Monday, January 01, 2001 - 07:20 pm:  Edit

Elfman, thanks. That confirms what I read except the half hour delay at the checkpoint is better than I expected. Btw, I saw the Fernando article in the Times...that's what put the idea in my head that it would be fun to explore the interior a little bit, catch the flavor of the Mexican Major Leagues, and maybe find some Nogales type action while I'm there - but that's not a priority since the Nogales chicas will probably empty my tank anyway.

One more thing you didn't get to....driving time?

By El_Cochino on Monday, January 01, 2001 - 08:06 pm:  Edit

Been to Guaymas and Hermosillo about five years ago with a group that was not interested in mongering. When I did venture out I saw nothing worth pursuing. Even the shrimp in Guaymas was terrible - possibly because we went during a very hot summer. Would never go again - also driving is a killer with the tolls for each of the little cities around there - must have spent about $100 in toll roads to get about 200 miles south of Guaymas (one way).

By Elfman36 on Tuesday, January 02, 2001 - 05:58 am:  Edit

Sorry 'bout that: It takes about 2 - 2 1/2 hours from Nogales to get to Hermo'. The tolls cost only
62 pesos to get down there. The exchange rate is just about 9 to 1 right now so that only figures out to 5 bucks. The first toll is 15 pesos and the second is exactly 47 pesos. The trip out to Kino Bay is no cost. I really don't mind the tolls actually, you get a damn fine road to drive on with the "green angels" there to protect and enforce the laws. Also, the league just went into it's playoffs, so tickets may be scarce. Hermosillo finished second place and they're a pretty popular draw. Have fun, take it all in stride and no doubt you'll have a blast. One thing I particularly liked is that every street corner seems to have a grill cooking carne asada and I don't know about you, but I absolutely love carne asada and for the price conscious, you just can't beat it. Mexican men do know how to grill meat, that's for sure.
Have fun...

Hey Erip!

I hear West Fargo might be conducting a field trip into Mexico starting from Nogales in a week or so....Fear and Loathing indeed!

By Erip on Tuesday, January 02, 2001 - 05:54 pm:  Edit

Redongdo,

Dr. West S. Fargo hurtling through Sonora with the top down, eh? And you are suggesting that I volunteer to be his "attorney" and substance supplier? Anyhow, the latter won't be necessary. What Dr. Thompson said about Circus Circus applies equally to Lord Black - i.e. taking LSD there would be redundant (but I'd add, have plenty of horny goat weed on hand).

I'll spring him from the Nogie Pokey when I get there in February, and we can get it started.

I heard about a lady called la Guera Benamueche (something like that-spelling) is a well known madam who has the best casa de sita in hermosillo. I have not beeb there but it suppose to be the best in town.

I have only one tidbit on Hermosillo, I was there in 1999 at the Holiday Inn (which cost me some $100 a night), and I noticed what seemed to be a working lady in the bar (it was a Saturday night).

Unfortunately, I was occupied at the time (with 3 chicas, which is another story in itself), so I couldn't get any more info.

Heading down to Hermosillo this weekend Anybody have any other info on massage parlors and nice hotels where you can bring girls back, have a name of one parlor called aeros but no confirmed reports

By El_Cochino on Wednesday, February 07, 2001 - 04:17 pm:  Edit

Inspector,
Please report on the place. I was there about seven years ago and had a terrible time. Not from a bad time, but from lack of finding any action. Mu buddy then went down to Guaymas for more of the same.

By Inspector on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 07:03 pm:  Edit

Brief report on Hermosillo. Went to a massage parlor called eros located on a residential street with no sign in front, supposedly they have another location too.Went in about 8 girls sitting around a couch waiting for customers just like TJ overall very average lineup with 2-3 nice looking ones. No one seemed to be in charge so I just grabbed what I thought was the hottest one and she lead me to a room. She said that she would do everything for $80 so I paid her the money. After a brief massage she started giving me a great BBBJ. After the BBBJ I proceeded to bang the hell out of her and she seemed to really enjoy it and showed great enthusiasm and great attitude from start to finish. Went with 4 friends and all but one got a great performance with BBBJ, but all girls were very average looking nothing great, but good attitudes and available for outcall for a similar price. Went to Obsessions strip club and started to inspect the lineup, overall average lineup with a few hot ones, 2 different private rooms 1 with a couch and pretty big for$70 for a half hour plus and anything goes, and 1 with just a chair like in Nogales, went to the private room with one of the decent ones and paid $20, and proceeded to get a great private dance as I got a deep throated BBBJ and balls sucked all for $20. After this she proceeded to give the same deal to my friend. Since the girl was a real winner I asked her if she could go for all night after she got off, she did not hesitate and agreed to go for $100. We ended up bringing her and another stripper back to the hotel, we stayed at Hotel premier which is a new hotel with jacuzzis available. I banged her in the jacuzzi in every position imaginable and later in bed for the whole night. The next morning I just left the $100 on the table and gave her money for cab fare, the other stripper turned out to be a loser as she left that night after doing a strip dance and fucking one of my friends but for only a brief period. Hermosillo is really spread out as nothing is walking distance.Went to bossnia, lord black and hot fox. Bossnia the girls were pretty hot but this place is small and couldn't find a table to sit, lord black the talent was similar but got there too late. Hot fox the talent was good but none of the girls would go all night, so did not waste my time in the private room.Did not check out placers, overall nice town very friendly people but very spread out, which can make checking out all the clubs and parlors very time consuming

Where the heck is the Hotel Premier?

By Inspector on Monday, February 12, 2001 - 09:10 pm:  Edit

Its about a 5 minute walk from Fiesta americana on the same street on the other side of the street. Its only been open for 5 months or so they told me, but very nice hotel and very reasonable prices as a double room with jacuzzi was 660 pesos.

By Explorer8939 on Tuesday, February 13, 2001 - 07:57 am:  Edit

Isn't Lord Black in Nogales?

By Explorer8939 on Tuesday, February 13, 2001 - 02:07 pm:  Edit

Inspector,

I believe that the Hotel Fiesta Americana is on Boulevard Kino, which is the main hotel drag on the outskirts of town - is that were the Hotel Premier is? Can it been seen from the street (since I will likely be driving by looking for it).

By Inspector on Tuesday, February 13, 2001 - 07:52 pm:  Edit

If you drive by fiesta americana is on your right, go straight through the intersection and Premier is on the left just past the intersection, you can't miss it,if you want more details email me

Visited Guaymas last Saturday. Went to a club called the Sports Club. Very nice strip club with extras in the back. $10 dance plus $ for extras.

There's a web site for a 'Hotel Premier' in Hermosillo:

http://www.hotelpremier.com.mx/eng/main_eng.htm

Not much information, though. If you check the Spanish side of the site, though:

http://www.hotelpremier.com.mx/esp/index_esp.htm

there's all sorts of good info, including prices for the jacuzzi suites.

Explorer;

Are you STILL trying to get dudes to go to Hermosillo?

From what I've read here, it sounds just like Nogales. Even the same bars... Lord Black, Placers. Unless you have money to burn, I find these kind of bars to be lacking in the bang-for-the-buck category.

Until I hear something to make me start to think otherwise, I'll stay with TJ...

Mexico City - Lots of hot and available chicks, but too expensive, and very dangerous. Too far away.

Juarez - Weird. Negotiate with manager in office, get your dick "inspected" by an old hag. Limited selection of chicks. One benefit are the cheap chica drinks($3).

Nogales - Expensive phone booth quicky sex. Some of the chicks are hot, and they can get you off fast... but then what the fuck are you gonna do with the rest of the night, broke and empty-balled?

Tijuana - Reasonable selection of chicks. Reasonably priced fucks in a normal Hotel environment(although the prices have steadily increased above inflation in recent years). Major drawback is that chica drinks are too high these days.

Diego:

I am driving down from TJ to Los Mochis, and will stay at Hotel Premier in Hermosillo overnight.

I plan to bring chicas with me from TJ, so no need to scout out the local scene.

By Diego on Thursday, June 21, 2001 - 07:13 pm:  Edit

Shit man, that is quite a drive.

I've gone from Cd. Obregon to TJ on the bus, and my back was KILLING me afterwards. You won't catch me doing that shit again.

By Explorer8939 on Friday, June 22, 2001 - 02:22 pm:  Edit

Hey, I've done TJ - Mexico City a couple of times, by bus. Now, that's a bus ride.

By El_Cochino on Saturday, June 23, 2001 - 09:15 am:  Edit

Explorer,
If you please -- How many hours or days and what was the cost? Did you do it recently? Does the bus stop along the way in other towns and cities and/or can you get a direct bus.

By Explorer8939 on Sunday, June 24, 2001 - 07:08 pm:  Edit

Cochino:

From TJ, its just as cheap to fly to Mexico as to take the bus these days. The regular bus stops in every major city on the way down and back.

What I did the last time was to buy a ticket to Sinaloa, and once there, hang around a couple of days, and then buy a ticket to Mexico. It broke up the trip, and I don't think it cost a lot more than a straight shot.

The straight shot is 48 hours, give or take half a day, based on whether or not the bus breaks down, or the particular bus company you choose.

Thanks for the info. My buddy drove with me as a passenger about 200 miles south of Guaymas about five years ago in the summer in a pick up truck with no A/C.

We weren't into mongering, but we should have been. The tolls ate us up and Guaymas was very disappointing. I got the flu as we were coming back to Mexicali and the trip was a trip from hell.

I felt bad because as much as I was complaining we met about a sixty year old man who had gotten fired from his job in Ensenada. He decided he was done with Baja and he was riding a bike with all of his possesions from Ensenada to Mexicali and then he was going south of Hermosillo to his town.

Between Tijuana and Mexical his bike had a flat tire and the cost to replace that tire wiped out his meager travel money.

We gave him canned goods and water for his trip. We had met him at a rest stop about 80 miles south of Mexicali and he still had a long way to go. It was over a 100 degrees, but my buddy said that travelers like this old guy will be fed by the farmers. My heart went out to this guy and made me realize how lucky I was.

Exploer, the 48 hours to Mexico City would be with or without paying the tolls? How much would you expect the tolls to be one way on that trip.

By Explorer8939 on Monday, June 25, 2001 - 11:13 am:  Edit

When I mentioned the 48 hour trip to Mexico City, that was by bus. Bus passengers don't pay tolls.

If I were driving all the way down to Mexico City, I would assume about $200 in tolls one way.

Except that I would probably not drive from TJ, I would enter Mexico at Nogales, or maybe someplace in Texas.

I stayed at the Hotel Premier on the way down to Los Mochis. As far as hotels go, its affordable, new and clean. There are only a few jacuzzi rooms, however, and they were all booked. Without a jacuzzi, you're basically in a Days Inn.

I drove thru Hermosillo on a Sunday morning, this place was extremely clean for a mexican city. Guaymas looks like a cool little town if you speak the language, many nice looking chicas. I could tell that this town has lost is luster, but their is still potential, especially with the female population. Unfortunately, I was travelling with my queer brother in-law. Anyone know of a sports bar in Hermosillo where I can watch the NFL games?

By Inspector on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 - 05:02 pm:  Edit

I was just there 2 weeks ago, They have a sportsbook called Casino that shows most NFL games. Very smoky environment though.
Also there is a sports bar a few blocks from Fiesta Americana but I cannot verify if NFL games are shown.
Check out Lord blacks for night action by far the best strip club in town. Many hot chicas that are young and look innocent. I also have good info on massage parlors if your interested.

Has anyone been to Hermosillo lately? I'll be there in a few weeks--supposed to be meeting a girl I know from TJ, but want to be prepared just in case things don't go as planned. I've never been. If this girl flakes and it's dead in Hermosillo, I might just drive up to Nogales instead. Any current information much appreciated!

I live in Tucson and hobby in Hermosillo monthly.
I have been to Nogales often and IMHO Hermosillo is superior. I believe it is closer to a true Mexican experience because it is away from the border. Away from the big hotels you will find very few people speak any English and in the table dance bars I am often the only Gringo. I have been there so often (maybe a dozen trips) that I am no longer anxious or frustrated by the those conditions but prefer it that way because I believe that the "immersion" method is the only real way to learn a language and a culture.
I would describe my Spanish skills as only basic but I get by pretty well. I find the city fairly safe and its people very friendly.

I am always looking for someone to share the cost of gas and insurance so let know if you want to be a "TripBuddy". I have a little 2 seater pickup and I have a 6 month "all of Mexico permit" so we can cruise through K21.

I will be posting a trip report on Hermosillo soon so watch for it.

I am emailing my Hermosillo report this morning, so Hombre should be posting it soon. It should answer a lot of your questions.

My current schedule is 12 hour night shifts with 3-4 day weekends off every week so I could go any weekend you like providing you give me a few days notice. Send me a private message in my Hombre mailbox.

Brewmeisterbro,
Hey well I have to say that I have been reading most of your posts about the massage parlors, and the no tell motels, and have throughly appreciated you sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. However I have one major question for you. I noticed in browsing through the massage reports that some of them offer two girls. Have you ever explored this avenue, or made any arrangements for two girls at one time in your hotel room???

Do the No Tell's for the most part actually have closets and allow you to book the room for more than one night. I know I read about one that you posted that had no drawers and no closet space.

I have been to Hermosillo twice, but both times was to visit my girlfriend at the time, which no longer exists, so I am definitely up for a trip down there to explore the other sides of the town.

By Brewmeisterbro on Friday, December 19, 2003 - 05:50 am:  Edit

Basically, it goes like this: IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY, THEY HAVE THE HONEY! I think it kind-of works like McDonalds: just ask if you can "Supersize" your order! Seriously though, I personally have never experienced a three-some, although I have fantasized about it. I would definately have to bring along extra pesos and a bottle of Viagra!

I have never inquired about paying for more than one night at a time at the No-Tell Motels, I just pay-per-night. If you do go, try to avoid the weekends as the asking price for the all-night rooms (if even available) skyrockets. I recently paid $350 pesos for a beautiful jacuzzi room at Buho's on a Thursday and the next day they wanted $930 pesos! Being Spanish speaking may help, but I asked my friend Carlos to help me once and he did no better in negotiating then I did.

Forget about closets and dresser space at the No-Tell Motels - there isn't any! These places are strickly "Love Motels" designed to be used for a short time period only. I just prop my suitcase up on a chair and hang my clothes where ever I can.

I avoid crossing the border during most of the month of December and the first part of January because of the Holiday traffic going North. My last trip was the first week of this month and it took me 1 & 1/2 hours to cross in my truck at the Mariposa entry in Nogales! I drove over to the Deconcini Port of Entry and it looked like the line was even longer! I have heard news reports of waiting times up-to 8 hours closer to the Holidays!

I may go again in mid-January. If so I will post a trip-buddy announcement. So, if your interested, watch for it.

By Phoenixguy on Friday, December 19, 2003 - 06:12 pm:  Edit

Brewmeister, I can confirm that the auto lines at Nogales are pretty lengthy these days (while the pedestrian lines have been surprisingly short). However, a lot of that seems to be traffic destined for shopping excursions. (I think about half the population of Mexico was at Wal-Mart!) If you don't mind waiting until late night, the crossing should be pretty short. Consider it a reason to stop off in Nogales and acquaint yourself with the new massage parlor there. ;)
