I have a girl over at Extasis that I have wasted a small fortune on in fecha drinks. She does nothing...not with me, and not with anybody, not ever. I have tried to get her to see me outside Extasis, and I actually came close one time.

She is very hot when I am with her in the club. I have come close to almost screwing her in the privado booths, but "no cigar." Anyway, I like her a lot...really, a lot...I mean, I like being with her, and I really like her personality. I realize I am contributing to a problem that I have noticed is becoming more and more common in the clubs of Monterrey lately. Tell me if you see this problem developing more and more, or if it is just my imagination.

There seems to be many more lazy girls who are refusing to work. They merely lay around on couches,wait for you to beg them to make an effort, are involved in "copa clutches", socializing only with their girlfriends in the club, and/or they are cock teasers and do nothing with you inside or outside the clubs. Regio refers to them as "vestal virgins" who "do nothing and plague the clubs of Monterrey." I agree with him completely, and he has scolded me on numerous occassions for spending money on these types.

I finally realize that I am part of the problem, and that we must reverse the trend or we will poison the well. I have decided that I am going to refrain from spending money on these types of girls, such as my girl over at Extasis, because it is not helping the situation. I am doing better at not wasting my money on these types, but sometimes it is difficult if you like a girl's personality or you enjoy seeing one of them. My girl at Extasis doesn't do anything outside the club, but, as I said in my previous post, she does let me do a lot inside the club. But, as far as she is concerned, I still consider her part of the vestal virgin club.

I have decided to stop spending money on the ones who do nothing, and to refrain from chasing the ones who play "hard to get." I vow to no longer patronize the "verstal virgins" for the good of mongerdom everywhere. I urge all mongers who patronize Monterrey to refrain from spending money on these types. We must put a stop to this trend or we are all going to regret it. Also, I think if we can somehow mobilize to reduce some of the costs, we may actually be able to drive prices down. I noticed that many of the mongers that frequent TJ have mobilized to boycott an establishment in TJ in an effort to reverse a trend that they are unhappy with. I don't know if it's being successful, but it may be worth a try. Problem is, there aren't probably enough of us from these boards patronizing the clubs to make dent.

USB, your individual behavior will never change the market as a whole. All you can do is maximize the fun for yourself, and maybe try and frequent the places that make that enjoyment more likely.

Re: the lazy girls or girls that don't put out, that's a reflection on management, which in most Mexican bars is abysmal anyway. Customer service is non-existent, and the attitude in Mexico (including MTY) is one where the customer is always WRONG. Sure, there are individual exceptions to this rule, but you all know what I'm talking about. It can make your head hurt if you think about it too much, but the best idea is to keep a light-hearted mood and just roll with the punches. And if you don't like the attitudes in a certain place (I HATE HAREM), then simply move on.

I used to visit Matamoros last year when I first started to explore the delights of Mexico. Actually, I thought Matamoros at the time was not too bad. Not a lot of clubs like Monterrey, but I had a lot of great fun there. Attitude is everything.

I was still a newbie, and compared to most cities of the USA, Matamoros seemed like a virtual paradise. Ahhh, such memories. I still remember the first girl I was with when I crashed the scene in Mexico, which was in Matamoros. That girl was a REAL TIGER. She was extremely passionate and displayed her affection for me in a very, very, passionate manner. I will never forget those initial experiences in Matamoros.

It was the first Mexican border town I had ever visited, and I was on my way to a world wind tour of the border towns, which was to finally end up in Nuevo Laredo. Everybody has to start somewhere, and the flight to Harlingen was relatively inexpensive from the Midwest.

But, of course, after having visited Monterrey, I was swept off my feet by the mongering opportunities there, and have never returned to Matamoros. Comparing the two venues isn't really fair to Matamoros; it's like comparing apples and oranges really.

I just found out the I will be able to visit Cartegena in August. I can't wait for that little excursion...my first time in Colombia. And...from what I have been hearing, if I can keep my ass from being shot off or blown up, I will be very, very impressed. Wish me luck (and safe passage).

Just returned from my sojourne to Monterrey and Guadalajara. It will take a day or so to get my post together but before that I want to thank Regio for showing me around a bit and taking me to Obsessions where the food is great and the women (albeit pricy) are fabulous.

Watching the chicas fall over him was great. Seems like Regio should be the Honorary Mayor of Monterrey. He went out of his way to hook up with me and I appreciate that. It's always nice to hook up with an hombre.

Monterrey turned out to be a very interesting experince and I actually got an all nighter with a princess for $150.00 and a SW for $60.00 and believe me it was worth every penny and then some. Enricos, Monterrey has had somewhat of a bad rap. The place is jumping.

Prior to my long winded post, when you are there, check out ALFREDOS located at Artegaga No 529, within a few blocks of Plaza D Arco. This is a very well hidden place and a very nice place.

They have lounge chairs and patio tables set up (maybe about 30 of them) in a very nice setting. Very Very secure parking. The girls show up at around 9 or 10. They are mostly girls with straight jobs during the day and work for extra money here at night. They just come in, sit down and wait for you.

When you arrive, you see someone you like, send them a drink, if they like what they see they will engage and if they REALLY like what they see ($$) they go inside to a private room. There may be some pros here but they are NOT the majority.

The girls are NOT aggressive. And YOU have to win THEM over. Very cool game. They are there to get laid but you got to make them want you. Very fucking fun. They go for all different amounts. From 500 pesos to 1000 so it all depends how good your negotiating skills are man.

You MUST do the buffet at OBSESSIONS but you need to go with Regio. When the girls see you with him they know you're ok.

I met the perfect latina in Monterrey. Alicia. Got a picture or two also. Amazing woman. Amazing time. I'll be back.

Alfredo's actually had girls there? Before midnight? The highest count I've ever seen there is FOUR. And man, they were pretty fugly too. The place is HUGE and, when I've been in there, always EMPTY.

Porker, we were tripping around the backstreets and came across the place at around 9PM and it was empty. We were told the Girls show up around 10PM.

CJ, when you come at 10, they tell you they'll show up at 11. And every hour thereafter. It's always bullshit every time I've been there. On what night and at what time did you actually see more than a handful of girls there, and were any of them employable in a strip club?

Even after having been there, if you say it sucks, then it sucks, I just did not have the time to gain enough exposure that would give me that background you have.

I do not have the experience at any of these places that you do and anyone reading these posts would surely realize that.

Because I have a positive experience someplace doesn't mean that everybody should go there or that the place doesn't suck. So just relax.

We were palnning a trip for oct but do you think it will be cooler in November and Porker what hotel is Like Hotel VZD/ Hotel PA and is chika friendly and is centrally Located. I looked through the hotel thread and saw some good deals but are they near the diskos/ ficha dance halls and IYHO are the chika friendly ?

Buses from what I read are 16 fucks each way and we need tourist cards. I have my Birth certificate and DL will that be enough for a Tourist card and how much are they now ?

Porker not to sound frugal but how likely do you think I could pull a dance hall girl for a gratis all nighter?

For a 3 or 4 day getaway how much would you budget for this trip ?
500 ? 700? And any precations we should take ?

freebies will be tough unless you hit the barrio antigua places, which are like Plaza Fiesta. November weather is hit and miss. Early October is still summer here.

I don't know how much you spend in whore bars. I'd budget 250 a day including hotel to have a NICE time. That'll get you some fun in the strip brothels, fat, and drunk, plus a massage parlor brothel session with money to spare+.

Most hotels listed in the MTY hotels discussion are decent quality and will let guests join you. 1 thing to keep in mind re: costs, taxis to/from airport are 200 pesos and there's really no way around it.

Milkie: you can get the tourist card at the border in TJ, just make sure that it is valid for 90 days or so. You can try your birth certificate and whatnot in TJ, if it doesn't work there, it won't work at the border in Texas.

You can get the tourist card by showing your DL and birth certificate or like I do, just show my passport (which every good monger should have). I just walk across the border and then immediatly off to the right, go into the office and tell them I am going to Monterrey. They usually give me a 7 day pass for free. The bus ride does suck ass, 3+ hours in a slow moving bus - at least it has AC and comfy seats....

That ride's about 170 pesos, and yes, you do need a tourist card. I've never heard of the 7 day free card before, but the 6 mos. visa cost like 200 pesos 3 years ago.

First, Hi, how are you, and hope to see you in TJ soon. Sorry I could not make the last do!

I found the Plaza de Arcos to be a most satisfactory place to stay and monger, very much like the VDZ. Access to the rooms is inside, not outside, but no hassle with a lady or two or three. Quiet, cleaner than VDZ, lots of hot water and decent towels, etc. Location is two blocks from the elevated train, next to the metro, and a block or so from the wonderful local buses (sorry Regio!). Also about three blocks from a couple of cabrito resteraunts. Also, a couple of bucks will get you by cab to about anywhere within the Zona Central or Zona de Hotel. If you want to up-scale, there are some major nice hotels in the latter, and the cab thing works.

I had a ball on about El Puerco's budget ! One must read in detail the Porker Papers. Good info, but my style is a bit different. The Matehuala has to be seen to be believed.

That being said, I did miss a good brothel bar ala AB. I do love that place. However, I think with a bit of time, and the number of ladies willing and eager to spend a bit of time with a visitor, Monterrey could become an addiction.

I will add my $.02 about getting a passport. Well worth the minimal effort
