That's such a short ride that you could just hitchhike Q! I don't know but would bet the large dollar that there's regular bus service connecting the cities and towns along the border. And there's surely got to be service between Yuma, AZ and Calexico, CA and Mexicali.

OCT-02-2013: I was in algadones for a few hours in the early evening. Hawaii Club girls were more actively propositioning than on my previous visits and I recall being offered rooms for $20 with fucks for another $60. The Green Door down the road had a few hags, but they were not aggressive and the server was not dropping them on my lap.

Algodones and The Hawaii Club is DEFINITELY worth a visit.

Made a spur of the moment, seat of my pants trip in early November. Had never set foot in Arizona in my life. I loved it, although only saw Yuma.

Took the #5 YCAT transit bus from Yuma and it DOES take you all the way to the Algodones border crossing. Earlier reports said it dropped you off at the Quechan Casino and you had to walk a mile.

And yes, there is a van/bus service that runs from Algodones to Mexicali at least three times a day. There is no bus station. It's a bus stop by a park and you have to ask where it is, although I'd say it's only about four or five blocks max from the border. Cost from Algodones to Mexicali about six bucks.

I had kind of wanted to check out San Luis Rio Colorado, but some guys I met from El Centro, CA said "no way Jose." Pretty dangerous turf. Nuff said. They said Algodones was safe and tranquil and they were right on the money.

I got there about five in the afternoon as the sun was going down. Hit the Green Door and the ladies were just starting to trickle in.
