Live music (cumbia, what else) every night of the week. It's rather small and fills up quickly on weekends. Chicas range from fat grandmas to hot young chicas. Tecates 16 pesos, bottled beer 13.

Monterrey no es un dato natural. La autorreivindicacion del regiomontano como una unidad que comparte una identidad cultural, responde a la voluntad politica. No mames guey.

So, what kind of medication are you on? And what does this have to do with Sabino Gordo?

Some of us very white guys are guilty of "Felony Not Being Fluent IN Spanish." I will plead guilty without admitting any wrongdoing. Would be nice to not have a "hidden communication channel" as we are all in this for the thrill of the chase, the luck of the draw etc. Remember us english speakers.

CJ:
I am fluent in Spanish, and don't know what the heck this guy is talking about. The words are understandable, but the intent of the words is not.

Explorer, thanks for the input. Us Gringos have a tough enough time negotiating our way around the hustle. Jeez. . .the money we spend. Anyway, I'm off to Monterrey on the 18th for some biz meetings on Monday the 19th then off to Culiacan for a few days of meetings and some serious mongering. In Monterrey I'd like an allnighter for free if I can get one and I'll lurk on the Culiacan board so see what's happening.
Assuming the freebies are newbie wet dreams, some good inside info on not spending too much of the milk money would be appreciated.
Remember, us gringos get screwed AND fucked, sometimes at the same time. The first one is full of passion but the second one is full of grief. There is poem in there somewhere.
Thanks again,
Country John

CJ, If you havent' been there before, you'll see that Monterrey has some of the prettiest if not the prettiest girls in Mexico.
I don't know if you stay at high end hotels, but if you are a business traveler, I would recommend the Hotel Nuevo Leon, two short blocks from the bus station. Surrounded on all sides by bars. It's hard to beat for $30 USD a night.
Have a good time. I wish I was going to be there. It might start getting pretty hot down there though, but the bars are airconditioned and the beers are plenty cold. Drink a "Carta" for me...
By Countryjohn on Thursday, April 08, 2004 - 10:02 am: Edit |
Thanks for the hotel info.
I've been hearing great things about Monterrey. Me and my dick can't wait to get there. I'm always "blown away" by the beauty of these women. What is it about them? Why are they so irresistable compared to other women?
I met a black girl in Honolulu last week that almost made my heart stop. I begged her to marry me but she wouldn't mainly because I was already married. WTF? She was a thrill and a half. A military lady who understood the meaning of discretion and wanted some "white sugar."
The latinas however are a special group. I am very white but color blind when it comes to the hobby.
If it gets better than Guadalajara in Monterrey, I'll need a medic following me around with a defib. Wish me luck and thanks again for the tip. Should I make reservations or do they usually have rooms available? Good shower/s/s facilities? Are they Chica Friendly?
I will enjoy a Carta in your honor mate.

You said it more eloquently than anyone else could possibly say "you can get screwed and fucked in Mexico at the same time."
To be honest, the same thing happens in the US. But always keep an eye open in the border towns, they attract more rifraff than a place in the interior.
Your tongue will be dragging on the sidewalk if you head down to the Microplaza (downtown Monterrey). Jesus, Mary and Joseph...
By Regio on Saturday, April 10, 2004 - 09:25 am: Edit |
I don't want to sound rude correcting you Gregorio, but it's not Microplaza (as in small), but Macroplaza (as in big).
By Milkman on Saturday, April 10, 2004 - 03:55 pm: Edit |
This sounds like a place that I have to hit if I ever make it down that far. There is nothing more satisfying for me than to chase real chikas
Dance halls make it easy cause they can only run so far
By Gregorio on Saturday, April 10, 2004 - 10:43 pm: Edit |
Regio,
as today's youngsters say "my bad."
If he does happen to go to the Macroplaza, I think he will be blown away by the talent.
By Regio on Sunday, April 11, 2004 - 10:34 am: Edit |
Well Milkman, there are a bunch of dancehalls around Monterrey... not my forté, but yes, there are like 5 around the club area.
So you have plenty to look around.
By Countryjohn on Monday, April 12, 2004 - 09:05 am: Edit |
Is there more to Macroplaza than looking? Is there potential?
By Milkman on Monday, April 12, 2004 - 11:01 am: Edit |
Regio
You and Porkster live around here right?
I am not much into the puta scene so how would you rank the dance clubs around here?
I will be taking some road trips into Mexico and this has always been on my list.
thanks for your info

The dance clubs are filled with girls that will dance with you for drinks. Most of them are there for the ficha money, but also for the takeout.
So don't worry about it. You'll find plenty from where to choose from.
By Gregorio on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 - 07:35 am: Edit |
There is a damn good dance hall named "Kankun" centrally located, I don't know the exact address. A cab took me there in 2000. There seemed to be plenty of girls, and several free-lancers.
By Milkman on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 - 08:16 am: Edit |
Hi Regio and Gregorio
I was under the impression that this was a dancehall for non pros just girls going out for a goodtime or is it like a club where both regular girls and ficha girls are intertwined sort to speak. This could always be a fallback club just in case I cant score at the discos. What time do these dancehalls generally close. Friday and Saturday better than the weekdays obviously?
Again thanks for the info guys and when I have my plans straight perhaps we could plan to meet up some time and hit these places together.
Take care and thanks for the info

Milky,
If you are coning to Monterrey all the way from Southern California, you might as well hit Chihuahua, Chihuahua on the way. It's a hell of a lot better bargain than Monterrey in all aspects. Monterrey is a lot bigger and more cosmopolitan, but there are some hot baby dolls in Chihuahua believe me. I love Chihuahua, but it's so damn isolated, most gringos don't ever go there. They keep the music turned up there and they love to dance.

Any info you have would be great. Hotels etc,..

One thing you have to know about Chihuahua is that they are extremely conservative. Everything shuts down early over there.
I haven't been there in the sense of investigating the scene, buy my friends say that it is really boring.
Chihuahua is indeed cheaper than Monterrey, that is the truth.
Here on weekends the clubs (regular clubs) close at 4:00 am and if you really want to check out the regular girl scene, dowtown Monterrey offers bars and clubs with nonpros.
Around the Macroplaza that we've been talking about, has the Barrio Antiguo with lots of places to choose from, mainly discos and bars. The hotel district (at walking distance) has bars for nonpros of the not so young of age (30somethings).
Hotel: check my list at Modest Priced Hotels in Monterrey on the main Monterrey section. Some include web links. Check the most recent post there for prices and an update on hotels.
So.... make your choice.
Chihuahua or Monterrey???????????

White Guy Going There. . . . .
For all you "wannagotoMonterreygringos" out there, listen up: I got Regio on my right and my Mexican employee from Guadalajara on my left for my visit to MTY so I plan on taking my notebook and pencil for some serious recon. If I am not by the time I get back, it will be time to re-visit the Alamo.
Based on Regio's fine assistance with maps, hotels and info, I expect nothing short of a long succession of multipops. Who knows, I might reach nervana! I might be a pope or something.
Wait, I'm off to Culiacan on Tuesday. My guy tells me he's got some friends on the "inside" there. OOOOOOHHHHHH, can't wait.
Regio, thanks again man, I appreciate your help. You're like a fucking tourist guide man.

Your welcome sir...
Just wanting for you guys to have the right and the best kind of fun here in Monterrey.
By Porker on Thursday, April 15, 2004 - 04:37 am: Edit |
I'd bet big bucks that you'd like Kankun, Volcan or Club Internacional better if all you wanna do is dance and find semi-pros
By Countryjohn on Thursday, April 15, 2004 - 09:23 am: Edit |
I learned fom DisneyLand. . . . . .
that It's impossible to go on all the rides at once even though you want to. Sounds like Monterrey will be like that. Only a few days left to tweak things. There is something to be said for semi pros too.
Conuntry John

Kankun and the Internacional are good choices. On oposite sides of Madero Ave. of the Monterrey map you have. But good choices anyway.
