Planning
Why Sevilla? Most likely you are already visiting Madrid or Barcelona, but if you have some time, you should really get out to see more of the country, and fortunately, some of the cities offer hobbying opportunities to keep you occupied in the evenings. I wouldn't suggest visiting Sevilla strictly for hobbying, but if you're there to take in the sights, you do have the options.
Weather: Some travel guides suggest the months of May, June and September, the months before and after the hot summer months of July and August. Others also include April and October due to milder weather in the south part of Spain where Sevilla is located. In fact, the winter months of December through February are described as mild and may also be a good time to visit.
Travel Documents: Visas are not required for US Citizens unless you intend to stay more than 90 days.
Airport: Sevilla's airport code is SVQ. You should be able to find fairly inexpensive plane tickets from Madrid or Barcelona on local airlines, but alternatively you can take a 5.5 hour train from Barcelona or a 2.5 hour train from Madrid.
Money: Spain uses the Euro. For August 2012 the online exchange rate shows .79 dollars to 1 euro or 1.26 euros to 1 dollar. Expect it to be significantly lower after bank or change house fees. I generally bring a couple hundred dollars in cash as an emergency fund and fund my trip through ATM withdrawals. You can bring dollars and exchange them in country, but it's a hassle and my experience with Euros is that you usually don't save much money (and may even lose money) by using currency exchange businesses. If you call your banks before your trip and notify them of your travel dates, you can minimize the likeliness of a declined card. If your pin is not 4 digits, make it 4 digits. I don't recall specifically if banks in Spain have this restriction, but I think they do and it is common at least in other countries.
Budget: With limited time and limited information I could find on Sevilla, I only visited two of the better known clubs. There are supposedly a number of lower priced casas, but they are much harder to find information on. P4P sessions at the clubs ranged from 80 euros for 30 minutes to 160 euros for an hour. In USD that would be $100-$200. For clubs, you also have to factor in cover and drinks, and if you're wealthy, drinks for the ladies. Covers ranged from 10-20 euros and drinks for yourself should be around 10 euros each. Drinks for ladies can be ridiculously expensive, in the 30-50 euro range. The ladies should not be suprised if you don't buy them drinks because of the cost, so don't. To calculate your budget, multiply these costs by the number of sessions a day you might have, then add your daily hotel, food, and transportation costs.
Accomodations: I can't give much advice here, I stay at friends and acquaintances' places when I can and stay at hostels when I cannot. I didn't know anyone in Sevilla so I stayed at The Garden Backpacker Hostel which was inexpensive, clean, and friendly. If you choose to stay in a regular hotel, I would recommend a service like Priceline to reduce your costs.
Taxis: I avoid expensive taxis when I can, but it was hard to do in Sevilla. The clubs were located in an industrial part of the city, and I couldn't find a subway line that brought me sufficiently close to walk. In addition, with such a short visit, I figured trying to figure out the subway system wasn't an efficient use of my time. If I return, I'll work on trying to find a cheaper alternative to getting to the clubs. In the meantime, taxi fares from the city center ranged from 8 euros to 12 euros each way.
Security: I never felt threatened or unsafe in Sevilla walking around any place at any time day or night, but that is just my personal experience. The city center should be fine, I believe, but the area around the clubs is deserted at night and might not be the best place to be alone.

The P4P Places
There's really only one good place for this edition of this guide. I normally wouldn't write a guide on that basis, but seeing that there is not even a Sevilla section set up on this website and Sevilla information is hard to find in general, I thought it might be helpful
Colores (3/5 Overall) (CH Link)
http://www.clubcolores.com/
954-368-194
Calle Automoción, 17
between Calle Bromo and Calle Hiero
Approximate Google Map Coordinates: 37.410306,-5.953261
What To Expect:
The club is easily identifiable signs from the outside, so you'll know you have the right place. Cover was 10 euros and included a drink. Additional drinks were 10 euros each.
The inside is spacious with lots of lounge space circling around a very large central bar. At least 20-30 ladies were working the weekend nights, many of them attractive.
Ladies drinks ranged from 30-50 euros depending on what they ordered.
Prices for sessions seemed to be set at 80 euros for 30 minutes, 120 for 45 minutes, and 160 for an hour.
I met beautiful ladies from Budapest, Bolivia, Venezuela, Paraguay, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic.
I selected the stunning Diana from Venezuela and Veronica from Budapest. Sessions were good based mostly on attractiveness, GFE didn't appear to be the norm, but granted I had limited experience.
Additional Comments:
Colores is an evening venue only, I believe, unfortunately I forgot to confirm and there is no mention of their operating hours on their website. The cab drivers I spoke with were not familiar with the street names, so you'll want to find one that knows the Colores, itself, which should be most. You might need to specify that it's a night club with ladies. Beautiful ladies from around the world abound here. Forget going anywhere else for now. This is it unless you're a pioneer willing to do some research. I actually wouldn't mind the help in finding other worthy places.
Sala Opium (2/5 Overall) (CH Link)
Polígono Store C/Calle Escarpia, 25
near intersection with Calle Nivel
Approximate Google Map Coordinates: 37.415471,-5.957833
What To Expect:
Sala Opium is a small club easily identifiable from the outside. Based on my experience and what I've heard, I believe they pay commissions to taxi drivers for bringing you here and pad your cover charge accordingly, whether the cab driver is around or not. I paid 20 euros to get in for which I received 1 drink ticket. Saturday night talent was dismal with only 7 ladies seemingly available at 10pm, maybe more came later, but I doubt it and was unwilling to wait around. Several of the ladies were dogs, and the best looking one was a Colombian named Lena. I got quotes for research purposes. I was told 90 euros for 30 minutes or 160 euros for an hour.
Additional Comments:
I visited Sala Opium because it is somewhat close to Colores. Sala Opium is an evening venue only, I believe, unfortunately I forgot to confirm and I could find no other information on the hours online. The only thing that kept me from giving this place a 1 out of 5 was that the interior was fairly nice, I will reserve the 1's for dirty dump kind of places. The bouncer also seemed like a grade A asshole. I was the only customer most of the time and I did not feel welcome here. I will revisit just to confirm and give them a chance, but I won't look forward to it.
American Show (not found)
Calle Boque
Comments:
The reviews on this place were not promising, but it was supposed to be very close to Colores. I walked all around Calle Boque and the surrounding streets and could not find this place on a Saturday night.
Los Daneses (not visited) (CH Link)
955-981-861
Calle del Doctor Francisco Ocaña, 2
Approximate Google Map Coordinates: 37.396122,-6.035094
Comments:
I should have visited this place instead of wasting time at Sala Opium and looking for American Show, but I didn't get around to it. My research indicated it might be on par with Colores in terms of prices and quality. The address and phone number are what I found on the web.

Thanks for another Spain report. When I eventually return there, I'll be sure to refer back to these reports for a beginner's guide.
