Woke up at 11:00am, took a shower and packed up my things. I had decided that I would move to Omni Tower; it just seemed ridiculous to sit in traffic in a cab every time I wanted to go somewhere from Boss Tower and not having an in-room safe was screwing with my head. I called downstairs and they sent up a bellhop with cart to take my bags downstairs. Me, Na and the bellhop went down to the lobby, I settled up my bill, telling them I was going to Pattaya to meet a friend (not that they asked for a reason why I was leaving after only 2 days). Na went on her way, but not before begging me to come by the Mandarin later that evening, and we went downstairs to the carpark. George happily loaded all my bags into his trunk and said it would be no problem dropping me off at the Omni after playing golf. He said in the scheme of things that the Omni was much more accessible to the highway (the entrance was by Soi 1) than Boss Tower and he thought it was "classier" as well. He had looked at both places for office space before deciding to run his business from just outside Bangkok, because he had only had one visitor to his office in seven years. He also said hotels in Bangkok were taking a serious hit from serviced-apartments like the Omni and the Hotel Association had successfully lobbied for a new law prohibiting serviced apartments from advertising daily rates.
Got to the Bangkok Golf Club and made my way to the course on an overcast day. I was able to play alone as the course was nearly empty. The Bangkok Golf Club has lights, so it's also open for night golfing until 1:00am. They also have a 9-hole par 3 course that's modeled after 9 of the most challenging holes in the world - I didn't play the par 3, but it looked pretty interesting. This was a really nice course, with a lot of birds and fowl along the course. I saw an interesting, huge, ugly bird near one of the holes and grabbed my camera and took some shots. As I got closer to the bird, it started screaming and flapping its wings. After seeing that I was ignoring its hint to scram, the bird started chasing me back towards the cart. I made it to the cart unscathed and the caddie said "Danger Bird, Danger Bird." I asked if the bird bites and she said "oh yes, very bad" - and she's the one who handed me the camera in the first place. Anyway, no harm done and it made for an exciting hole. All was going well until a tremendous rain of biblical proportions came down on the 15th hole. We raced the cart to the clubhouse, but I was completely soaked. Took a shower and as I was changing, I wish I had the balls to take a picture of 5 Asian guys wearing shirts only and blow-drying their pants dry. George was at least an hour away, so I went into the clubhouse and ordered some dinner. The prices were extremely reasonable. A really cute "Ms. Heineken" came around asking if I wanted a Heineken. Don't know if it was part of a promotion or if she worked there full-time, but man she was hot.

Had a really good meal and a couple of drinks, then waited for George to show up. It was still pouring outside when he arrived at 5:30. George said that the traffic was monumental, about the worst he had seen in a long time - caused by the downpour and scores of disabled cars. It took no less than 3 hours to make the trip to the Omni, including 1.5 hours to get off the highway onto Sukhumvit, a distance of 500 meters. What amazed me the most was during this entire time, not a single driver sounded their horn or tried to cut in front of us as we merged - a far cry from New York where they start blowing the horn for you to move while the light is still red! Finally got to the Omni and had no problem checking in. Once again I give very high marks to the Omni - I'll never stray again. It's just such a convenient set-up - with its proximity to Nana Plaza, and Sukhumvit and all its shops - plus there is always a cab available outside the door, and the internet café downstairs (where they serve some pretty good food at the café as well) to the little grocery store, to the nice rooms at very reasonable prices (I paid 2,400 baht per night - and now realize I overpaid - had I logged on to: www.the-ascott.com and registered for free, I could have gotten the same suite for 2,000. Lesson learned - from now on I'll book via the web-site.
Before heading to Nana, I stopped by Louis Tailors on Sukhumvit. They had already made enough shirts and pants for me to last the rest of the week, and fitted me again for the suits. I went back to the Omni and was really happy with the clothes made so far.
I was now running late because of the traffic and the stop at the tailor, and by the time I hit Mandarin, it was already 10:00pm. As I got off the escalator, the hello girl (who I did not recognize, nor had spoken with) grabbed me by the hand and asked "how many girls you take out tonite - three again?" Guess I made an impression. I heard screaming when I walked through the door - Kaew and Na must have had their eyes on the door since their shift started. In a flash they both come off-stage and we start kissing, then they run upstairs to get changes - they just assumed that I would bar-fine them again, proving once more that it is very difficult to barfine different girls from the same bar - I just know they would have been devastated if I would have taken someone else. In a flash, the mama-san was also sitting next to me, saying she left orders for someone to get her as soon as I walked in the door. I had spent about $75 the night before, and based on that I was given the royal VIP treatment. Spending $75 bucks at a place in New York doesn't even guarantee you entrance the next night, let alone the treatment I got at the Mandarin. But I guess that's why we make the trip over here. Mama-san explained that Nut was running late but would be there soon. So the drink buying started again, I basically bought a drink for whoever asked. After about an hour, a very annoyed mama-san said it looked like Nut was going to be a no-show - but there were many girls that could take her place. I had been surveying the talent and Au looked really cute with her braided hair (though once the braids came out she didn't look as cute). She sat down, had a drink and I settled up the bill, again about 3,000 baht for the three bar fines and all the drinks. The four of us left and I was starving so we headed to the Warbler on Soi 4 about half-way between Nana Plaza and the Omni. They had a live band playing American cover-tunes and some pretty decent food. Dinner for four was quick and under 1,000 baht. We then walked to the Omni, everyone jumped in the shower and the festivities began. Kaew was once again the director, barking out orders in Thai while Na and Au followed her lead. After a rousing two-hour session that left all of us soaked, we took showers again and Au and Kaew got ready to leave Na with me for the night. Kaew tried to get me to commit to booking all three for the rest of the week, but I explained to her that on Wednesday I was going to meet a girl at the Long Gun that I had met on my last trip and that more than likely I would not return to the Mandarin. They appreciated my honesty and thanked me for the good time. One note I should have mentioned earlier that all vets already know: all three, but especially Na, went crazy over my scent. Na was constantly giving me sniff kisses and telling her friends to do the same. They loved the Old Spice High Endurance Body Wash that we showered with and the body spray I put on afterwards along with the baby powder and Bulgari cologne. You just cannot discount how important it is to smell good, something that's easy to do, even in very hot and humid weather. Don't limit yourself to one shower a day - the dividends will more than pay off in the end. Also, just to make the girls comfortable, I brought a dozen toothbrushes and shower caps - and they used them all. They really appreciate the shower caps and I'd much rather DFK someone after they brush their teeth.
I again paid each girl 2,000 baht and had one more session with Na before we fell asleep.

Sounds like you had a blast. I love the image of "Danger Bird" chasing your ass across the golf course! LMAO!

Bulgari has some great colognes. You should check out Salvatore Ferragamo (people go crazy for it) and Burberry Touch (with hints of baby powder).
Great reporting style and the details that really help when planning.
