As I said in my post when in LOS, this trip was not a mongering adventure. I had planned on hooking up with my prior sweetie , Ya , for a few days then losing her and returning to the bar scene. This did not work out as planned for reasons I had not anticipated. First a few observations. Thailand is definitely feeling the effect of the SARS hysteria. They have NO community acquired cases , but I guess people are scared off by the mere chance it may begin. The flight there on Thai air was half full at best. I have never seen the go-go bars so empty. Even after the madness of Songkran was over, the bars were deserted. Soi Cowboy was a ghost town. This is in part due to the continuing downward spiral in the quality of the dancers. Shebas was touted as a hot bar but the girls were overweight and very plain on my visit. Dollhouse was little better. I read in Stick's report that Shebas borrowed a lot of dancers from Playschool for their initial few weeks. I guess that is what prompted the good reviews. The girls went back to Playschool obviously.
At Nana the best bars were Mandarin, Playschool, and Voodoo, IMHO. Playschool has definitely stepped up in class since my last visit. The Rainbow bars have taken a big step down. I did not get to Patpong on this visit. You will all be pleased to note that Eden Club has some much better looking girls now. Marc has 40 girls there ! Many not bad at all, although there are still some definitely over the hill mamas as well.
My exploits this trip are not of the type that many of you hombres would enjoy. I personally have done many trips where I spend most or all of my time with one girl and I think those are my favorite trips. I find the whole go-go scene increasingly boring. As I said earlier the girls seem to be getting more aggressive about drinks and this outs me off instantly. Also all too frequently when you first walk in the bar, the fattest ugliest girl seems to plop herself next to you, latch on to you and refuse to leave even if ignored or insulted. Once you insult her - forget any other girl coming near you , you might as well move on. Maybe my view of the bar scene was distorted because after being with Ya and then Da the other girls did not interest me much.
As for the details :

I flew on Thai air and had a great flight as usual. No problems on arrival in BKK. No health screening - immigration took only 2-3 minutes. No lines anywhere.
Stayed at Omni Tower for first time- nice room, pleasant staff. The restaurant sucks though. Having an apartment worked well this trip since both girls more or less lived with me while I was with them.

The first night I did not contact Ya- I forgot to pack her phone number and had to go to Mandarin to see if one of her old friends had it. They did, but I decided to play a bit on first night. Went to the usual bars and ended up at Voodoo. Da was not working anymore so I barfined a cute little girl named Noon. She was cute but not much sexually. Very mechanical and wanted to get home as soon as possible. Asked her to take photo and got a new response. She said if I wanted her picture that meant I would never see her again. She said maybe next time. The girls seem to be getting wise as to what the pics mean as of course she was absolutely right ! !

Day two had a great session at Eden with Kookie and Gradtai ( rabbit ). Forgot my camera damn it ! Three days of drenching followed. Songkran seems to be getting out of hand in BKK . Cannot go anywhere without getting soaked.Starting day two I was with Ya for the next week. She only worked in Mandarin for 3 months but was smart enough to save enough money to open three small shops selling body jewelry and doing piercing and tatoos. Has one stall right on Soi 4 by Police stationon Sukhumvit corner. She does not work there- hires some dude to run it. Sorry guys she is not freelancing. The last night of Songkran I made the mistake of taking her to Hollywood disco. I thought Songkran was over. Not by a long shot. Everyone was spraying bottles of soda water and ice water everywhere. Got totally soaked again . As the only farang there, I was a particular target. Some of the real hotties got up on the stage and started dancing and stripping . This included Ya who stopped after being topless wearing only her thong underwear. There were two quite good looking girls who were doing a lesbian act on stage to the delight of the crowd. Ya and I had a table right next to the stage as one of her close friends is a regular there and got us up close. One of the lesbian girls spotted me and got off the stage, started hugging me grinding as she danced against me and gave me a DFK. I enjoyed it until Ya came back off the stage and told me both girls were katoey !! I think they are getting harder to spot. As I reported when I was there, I was totally fooled in Mandarin by a katoey. She was slender, but very feminine- no adam's apple, no broad shoulders, and only small tits from hormones- no silicone. This one still had her original equipment according to Ya. Fortunately I never got to find out !

Ya and I spent four days in Phuket. She was great, but the nightlife in Phuket has definitely slipped. The go-go scene was dismal. Very poor talent, very depressing atmosphere with bored ugly dancers. The bar beer are still numerous and have some attractive girls but few and far between. Phuket in my opinion is a BYOG type of place. Any BKK girl would be thrilled to go with you and would show you a much better time than you could get with a local lass. Seafood is getting much more expensive- even here. Also the tuk tuk drivers are rip off artists. Want 100 baht even for short trip.Most would not even bargain below 70-80 baht. After 4 days was anxious to get back to BKK.

After returning Ya told me to butterfly so " I wouldn't be bored". I thought she was testing me but I went ahead and took her up on it as I had decided I did not want a long term relationship with her anyway. She just turned 20 but is still a teenager at heart , a little too immature for any long term relationship so if I lost her I would not be upset.
I toured Soi Cowboy with the results mentioned earlier. Hit a few bars in Nana and again ended up at Voodoo. I was surprised to see Da sitting there in street clothes. I thought she had been bar fined but she told me she had returned home to Chaiyapoon shortly after I left in December. The mamasan called her to tell her I was back in BKK and she actually took a bus to BKK to see me . I was thrilled but still had the Ya problem to deal with. Took Da back to Omni and had a very enthusiastic reunion.This girl is really a sweetheart. Also 20 but much more mature and more like a typical Thai girl. Knows how to take care of a man- more than just sexually. Ya is great in bed but quite selfish otherwise. More like an American young girl. Da spent the night and did not want to leave even though she knew there was someone else there, as Ya had left a lot of things in the room. Pretty obvious a girl was living there. I told Da she would be leaving , got her cell number and told her I would call.

As it turned out Ya was not testing me and was not upset that I had butterflied. On the contrary that day she not only came back but she brought her friend Bim, who I had screwed around with last visit. That night we went to dinner at the Coliseum-- A Thai night club on Sukhumvit- great food and a great show. We all ended up back at Omni for a threesome. Incredible time and still NO barfines. My lucky day indeed!! The next day had tearful breakup with Ya and quickly called Da. Spent the last week of my trip with her and never even thought about looking for another girl. Where are you going to find someone as beautiful as her who treats you like a King ! Never returned to Nana, although I admit to two more trips to Eden. You gotta take advantage of that place while your'e in BKK. Nothing like it anywhere else. Told Da I was going for a traditional Thai massage. Da and I became very close and started what could become a true long term relationship. She truly is a head turner and gets long stares from Thai men as well as farang. I told her she should be a model and as the following pictures show, I think she could do so easily. Took a bunch of posed pics at MBK and she looks fine indeed. I had a hard time leaving her and had a sad goodbye at airport on the day I left. I will definitely keep in touch with her and I am very glad she is out of bar scene. She will likely get a job at Robinson's Dept store. Has something lined up but they do not pay all that well so she is still looking around for something better. To her credit she never asked me for money or to buy her anything the whole time I was with her. Obviously I gave her money when I left to tide her over until she can find a job in BKK. She is staying with a friend and wants to remain in BKK rather than return to Chaiyapoon.

Hard to believe I just did that for three weeks.
Had a wicked sinus infection/flu that just wasted me.

Even though I was with wife and her family I had several opportunities to get away.

Unfortunately I was the sickest I had been in many years. Even got an HIV screen recently because it's taken so long to feel well.

At least my test came back negative.

We're going back in December though and my wife wants to take separate vacation so she can spend more time with her sisters and girl friends.

I was lucky enough to find a pooying who not only didn't care about that stuff, but hated the idea of her village and relatives sponging off her new samee.
Being the inquistive type, I have prodded her for details about cousins who married farang.
I suggested before we married that we send something to her parents occaisionally knowing that taking care of them is a prime concern for ALL pooying. In fact, she wants to work and earn her own money to send to them so I do not have to bear that burden.
And I HAVE suggested we do the "Thai" wedding after she gets her green card, but she won't hear of it at all.

It some pictures she looks breathtaking, in others it looks like she has darker complexion and in others she looks like your average, cute Thai girl. Murasaki-- I bought her the ring in MBK-- she put it on that finger- I was surprised when she did, but it obviously did not bother me. If other guys think she is married - all the better.
Actually she had a little darker skin tone this trip because she had been back home in Chaiyapoon. Much harder to avoid the sun in Issan country. She like most Thai girls was self conscious about it as well. Just barely tanned and hated it -- go figure.
DJ-- she was in the scene for a VERY short time and even then frequently either did not show up for work or refused to go with customers that she really was never in it. I was extremely lucky that for some reason she chose to go with me. If you remember my first report- the first time she went with me she insisted her friend Mem come with us. This was a gold shop not jewlery store so it is a simple gold band --i.e. wedding ring in retrospect. It was the ONLY thing she ever asked me to buy the whole time I was with her. Ah the guiles of the Thai poo ying--they never cease to amaze me after all these years. Have not met any of the family yet, but she was comfortable enough to bring me back to her apartment and meet her roommate. Roomie also used to work at Voodoo and is a blast to be with. Guilty as charged. Both Ya and Da were in the bar scene for such a brief time and did so few customers that after being with them for a while it just seemed unnecessary to glove up.
