I have to say that I really enjoyed Rio. It was unseasonably hot when I was there and even the locals were suffering. That made it really difficult to do the beach. I can't imagine being there at the height of summer. There was no rain or clouds the whole time I was there.

I have to say that I had mixed experiences with the agencies. I'd been staring at the escort pages and helping to build out a good set of links here at Club Hombre. I should have used CompanyGirl more and I have to say that even though TopScort was a little more expensive, Roger provided good service and was easiest to deal with. Malaguetario also provided a good girl, but was hard to deal with and they clearly had false advertising on their web page about the girls english skills.

The highlight of the trip as a tourist experience was Pink Floyd at the Sambadrome. Help was a mixed experience. I proved that you can still score bigtime there even if you can't dance. Some people will like Help and others won't. There were even some british tourist couples in there dancing that were totally oblivious to the fact that they were dancing with hundreds of hookers.

I think the next time that I would use the agencies less, collect some phone numbers at help, spend more time at the termas, and figure out how to get the termas girls to meet me at my hotel (like YT and the others talk about). I never saw anything I wanted to do at Meia Pataca, but I had a good time hanging out there. I want to try a barbarellas girl next time too (yummy)!

Rio Roiss was an ok hotel with good service and a great location. I'd stay there again, but might try debret or another hotel for a different part of the trip. I never made it to Ipanema though it was only the next major beach over from Copacabana.

I should have gone to centaurus. For my R$750 love hotel 2-girl adventure, I could have had a fabulous afternoon at the termas.

But that is really the purpose of these trips -- have a variety of experiences so that next time I can plan and budget even better. The only place that even comes close to Rio so far for me is Thailand, and that is a totally different kind of experience. Rio wasn't cheap, but it wasn't expensive either. The total trip cost was about the same as my trip to Costa Rica and far more satisfying.

I'm off to Buenos Aires next and then to Moscow/St. Petersburg. I have high expectations for both places. I've already got a couple of different girls lined up in Argentina for daytime activities, including a pair of bi-sexual girls. I intend to survey the action both downtown and in Recolleta.

Five star report. Reading it has been the highlight of my day. You vivid description brings back my memories when I was mongering. Wish you a great trip in BA. Look forward to your next installment. Thanks again for all the reading pleasure.

Thanks for the extremely well written report uwphoto. Sounds like you did a little of everything on your trip - you covered alot of ground in only 4 days. Maybe we can hook up later in the year & each of us can drink a bucket of beer :)

Well I am waiting for your trip report from BA and St Petersburg. I appreciate effort spent writing report and much fun to read.

Small note: you can leave your bags at hotel rio roiss and have them call a cab for you at time when you are ready to go to airport. So you may want to try termas on your last day without having to worry about luggage.

Thanks for taking the time to share information and your observations about Rio.

You are certainly living a charmed life, one that permits you to travel to various sex destinations 'round the world! I look forward to your report from BA.

Where are you staying in BA and did you get a good rate?

Loved the report. Sorry I will miss you in BA.

YT - I'd like that very much. I'm thinking about a two week trip to Rio in mid-September (or Thailand ... just can't make up my mind). Maybe someday we'll end up in the same city. I wouldn't have been able to do as many activities as successfully without the information provided by you, athos, layne87, and the many other contributors to clubhombre. I must have read athos' report at least six times before I went.

Athos - I'm going to try to do the trip report live from Buenos Aires next time. I've got a few escorts already lined up from some email contacts and will fill in the rest from the clubs and cafe orleans. I'm still waiting for visa support letters to be able to apply for my visa to Russia. If they don't show up in the next two days, I may have to cancel. That is looking to be a much more expensive trip.

Ezy - Your report and moondog's are the reason for my trip to BA. I'm staying at the Hotel Etoile for $80US/night for an executive suite double occupancy. They have a lower rate of $55US/night but it is per person. I may be able to negotiate better rates at other hotels, but this looks like a nice place at a great location. I guess I'll know more next week.

I have to say that Club Hombre has opened my eyes to new destinations and given me the information to go there with confidence. I'd always heard that crime was terrible in Rio, and while it is certainly a problem, I never felt threatened at all during my trip. If I'd gone on my own without some inside information, I probably wouldn't have gone to Help at all ... and I would have missed a world class experience.

I have to say that one thing I really appreciate about the club is the positive and supportive attitude taken with the other members. These kind of boards always seem to descend into flame wars or the girls get wind of them and the contributions die off. I hope that any member viewing the pictures never says to a garota, "I saw your picture on the internet" or "I read a report on the internet that you charge x for z service." These kinds of comments will make the girls unwilling to pose for photos.

Anyway, I'll upload my photos for hombre over the weekend and he can augment the report when he gets a chance. I know he is pretty busy. There are a few good shots.

This is one of the best reports I've ever read. Thank you uwphoto. I'm currently in South Africa and the scene is pretty good if you're interested in tall leggy tanned dutch blondes, olive skinned Indians and round assed Africans. I spent 4 days in Rio but hooked up with a real stunner at the hotel the first night and instead of a mongering holiday had a more than romantic holiday so nothing to report. Look forward to the photos.

UP,

It's either Rio or Ctg June 28th-July7th. Having trouble making up my mind. If you are planning Rio around that time, let's hook up. I have some local Brazilian english speaking friends that live there who will help us out.

Can't wait to see the photos.

I just sent about 100 photos to Hombre on a Ctg. trip and have 3 more updates in the Sao Paulo Update series he is posting.

Enjoy the life. Nice post!

Uwphoto - I've been to the Sambodrome for Carnaval (which I guess it was what it was originally built for). For Carnaval, you have a street with grand stands lining one side of it and the boxes seats along the other side(this works fairly well when you have 10,000 people marching in one end & out the other). It seems like it might not be the best setup for a concert though. How did they modify the layout to get 35,000 people in there for the concert?

By uwphoto on Saturday, April 13, 2002 - 05:50 pm:  Edit

The concert was held down at the far end in the last section just after the area with the boxes on one side and the risers on the other. This area has a large courtyard with two concrete grandstands on either side, parallel with the parade route. The stage was setup at the very end with two large display screens and lots of speakers. They also put up some temporary structures at the back of the courtyard (on the parade route side) for some preferred seats (sponsored) and a area for people in wheelchairs to be above the crowd level. There were about 50 portapotties under each of the concrete risers.

Hope that makes sense. There were still plenty of open seats in the top of the grand stands, so more people could have come. The courtyard area was packed with people. Food vendors were behind the grand stands. I think most seats would have been ok for the concert.

That makes sense, thanks. Sounds like lots of fun - too bad that you lost your date :(

In September, I'm debating whether to go Rio for the--by then--8th time or go to Moscow for the first time. I've got frequent flyer tickets to both already. After your Moscow trip, you can decide for me.
