Travelling through Isaan, and there is an abundance of mongering opportunities, with very sexy ladies. Khon Kaen's biggest and higher end hotels all have Karaoke and Hostess nightclub scenes, although it seems speaking some Thai is almost essential, and a lady going with you is not automatic. She will try to get you to buy her drinks or lais. I did not mes around with this scene too much, as I hooked up with an English teacher from the province, and when I wasn't with her I went to Caesar's massage: sideline girl gave good service for 1300 baht.
Udon Thani is a nicer town, with nicer looking girls, and a ton of freelancer activity. Again, speaking Thai is very helpful, otherwise you will have to go through touts. Tere is a very good masage parlor in between the Udon Hotel and Ton Koon Hotel. Fishbowl 1200, Gold star 1700, AWESOME superstars for 2100. Unfortunately on my visits I have been told the superstars dont go with farang.
If you speak Thai, or have a local guide, I highly recommend these Isaan cities. The lack of language skills is holding me back immensely, but if I spoke Thai or was willing to pay too much, there are some real gems out there.

Last night I hit the beer bars. The annex across from the Big-C shopping center offers various small venues, but the selection is slim, and you have to get here early to find anything decent that has not already been barfined. Around the corner, there is Steve's, and a couple other bars. I went into one called Eagles, or Mojos (seemed to be in between names). The place was very nicely outfitted, and had a group of nice and friendly ladies working there.
As happens to be my luck, my fave was the bartender, an ex go-go dancer, who could not be barfined (at least by me). If you wanted to put in the time, you might have success (she said she wasd looking for a boyfriend who would be in town for a long time), but the party line was that she was expected to tend bar, and the other ladies were the barfineable ones.
None of the others really caught my eye, but a freelancer friend of theirs came in, named Lai. She was a 25 year old single mom, with a gorgeous face (I would rate a 9, with a body of 6-7). She invited me to come to another bar to meet some of her friends, and it seemed she had landed me for the night.
But, bargirls read closely if you are reading, you better bed a butterfly while you can! Because when we got to Mr. Tongs, a bar across from Big-C, I found her friends were very cute and fun, and younger than her. They were making a bit of a scene, moving the chairs away from the table and dancing up a storm: dancing sexy with each other, simulating the bump and grind, and giving each other an occasional kiss. They invited me to join in, and they were sandwiching me to my great delight. They invited me to go get something to eat, and I followed behind. Lai got left in the dust.
Now, Mr. Tongs is a 'regular' bar. There was a mix of farang and local Thais, and it was jumping. Turns out the two girls that snared me work at the hotel I am staying at, and we had been eyeballing each other for the last couple days, but I had no idea they spoke English, or freelanced on the side. So we all head back to the hotel, and this is when things get interesting. Now, before we get there, they are sitting on either side of me, taking turns kissing me. Then in my room, while one is showering, the other is all over me, and vice versa. BUT, when they are together in the same bed, they get all nervous and embarrassed: I make out with one, and the other crawls onto the floor. They explain that while it seemed a good idea at the time, they have never gone two girls with one guy before.
Finally we decide collectively to send one home, the one I am less attracted to--major loss of face, and I tell the remaining chica that perhaps she should go too, since they are friends and have to work together every day. But she is shameless, and spends the night for 1000bht.
To sum up, Udon has some great action, but hookups with the hotties are not so easy to come by as seems to be in Pattaya (or so I have read here, I have not made it to Pattaya yet). I highly recommend a visit for those who have the time, and the patience to look for some more spontaneous mongering experiences.
