Got up around 11:00am and lounged around, basically waiting for my fitting time. I called a car service number that I found on this or some other board and scheduled a 4:00pm pick-up at the Omni. Price including expressway toll was 1,000 baht, most places advertise 1,500. Their phone number is 038-710-847.
We watched TV and fooled around, I went downstairs and checked emails, taking care of a few things and then left with Nim at 2:30pm, giving her one more 2,000 baht payment. She said she hoped I would have a good time in Pattaya and hoped she would see me again. I gave her a vague reply; never lie unless you absolutely have to. I was already thinking about returning to The Long Gun and find either that Black-haired girl or that dancer. Nim took a moto taxi and I got fitted at Louis's, everything was looking good. I went back to the Omni, picked up a small bag packed for the two nights and went to the lobby where the driver was waiting for me.
The ride was uneventful, taking about 2 hours. We found the Residence Garden without a problem. Check-in was a breeze, I had a confirmed reservation @ 1,300 per night. The suite was on the fourth floor, and all of the suites have a balcony. The suite was ok, but nowhere near the size or class of Omni. I took an obligatory shower and went downstairs to their restaurant, an all-you-can-eat bbq for 300 baht, and it was very good. Service was nice and everyone was very accommodating.
I took a baht bus to the center of town, about a 5-minute ride, cost 10 or 20 baht, I can't remember. I walked up and down Walking Street; it looked like the Atlantic City Boardwalk on Ecstasy. Bars and girls everywhere. And German tourist families. It was a weird scene; immediately Bangkok seemed classier and so much more cosmopolitan than this Jersey Shore on Steroids.
I walked past a lot off beer bars and was not at all impressed with the talent. I entered the Happy a-go-go around 8:30pm and took a seat. The place had people but was not overly crowded. Ordered a Heineken and looked over the talent. There were a lot of hot girls here; I was worried that these girls were going to be like the beer bar girls. In my limited experience I can tell you the difference between the beer bars and the go-gos was huge. I'm sure you could find some diamonds at the beer bars, but why not go directly to the mine? I mean, time is money. If I remember correctly, I had a hard time choosing between about four girls and kept watching them, waiting for them to do something that would put them at the top or the bottom of the list. At 9:00pm the place started clearing out - apparently a lot of people were there for the 35 baht draft beer special - barfining girls was they last thing on their minds.
I made my choice and had her come over. Som was long and lanky and the way she danced made me want her even more. She seemed pretty shy but I thought we would have a good time together. I told her that I was in town tonite and tomorrow and was looking for someone long time; I wanted to have a good time tonite and take in the sights of Pattaya tomorrow during the day. She told me she moved here only two weeks ago and didn't know much about the area. I paid the bar fine (I think 500 baht) and other than that, money was never mentioned. She said she couldn't leave the bar until 10:00pm. That's cool with me, send over some more Heinekens.
When we left, she wanted to go straight to the hotel. So much for the sights. We walked right through the lobby, no ID check at the Residence Garden and went up to the suite. Put on the TV and started making with small talk. She shared a room at the Sunshine Hotel for 2,000 baht a month and had just started taking English lessons, 10 3-hour lessons for 3,000 baht. She's smart enough to know that good English means better money. The lessons are from 8am -11:00am. Well, there goes my guide for tomorrow. I'll figure out something else to do. We take separate showers and she's under the covers wrapped in a towel when I finish mine. Says she's very shy, please turn off the lights. Got down to business and I guess the lights off worked, because she was no longer all that shy. I was waiting for a bang on the wall from the neighbors; she was making that much noise. But I guess it's live and let live here in Pattaya. After finishing up she says she'd like to go to sleep, must be up @ 7:00am. First time I'm going to sleep this side of midnight since arriving in Thailand. No problem. Then, the problem I've been waiting for finally rears its ugly head. I get woken up at 2:00am and she says she can't sleep because of my snoring. I know she's not exaggerating; I've always been a champion snorer and since I broke my nose 5 years ago, I've become world-class. It bothered Nim the first night, but then she said she got used to it (I don't know how). My nose has pissed off a lot of people. I tell her I'll sleep in the living room, but she says she can't sleep alone. She pleads to leave, says only pay me 750 baht for short time. I give her 1,500 and put her in a cab downstairs. I really liked this girl and was looking forward to some morning action, but it was not to be.
