I had the time off my life. Anyone hesitating on the decision to go - just go. I almost talked myself out of going a few times and I'm so glad I didn't. Do let less adventurous people sway you by saying "You're going all by yourself, aren't you worried" or "That's halfway around the world" or "what if they don't speak English." I was concerned with all of those things and shouldn't have been. You're never by yourself if you don't want to be and everyone speaks at least a little English. Thailand is a great place to kick back and relax. And then there's the girls. . .

And as far as the girls go, I still do not consider myself a Monger. I have read every report on this and other sites and did not approach this trip the same way "Mongers" do. I wanted to go with the flow and have a good time, sort of let things dictate their own pace. I don't keep stats or girl counts - What am I at Yankee Stadium scoring a game? I'm on vacation, trying to do the exact opposite of what I do in real life, which is relax and let someone else make the trivial decisions. And in the end, most decisions are trivial decisions. Don't get me wrong: I'm happy Mongers have their "Hobby"; I learned a lot from their reports. Knowing the price structure going in, and not wasting time at beer bars and going directly into the best Go-go bars was a saver of time and money. Knowing that there are plenty of Katoeys mixed in with the regular girls in Patpong made me avoid that area completely. A Monger will not learn anything from this report. This report is meant for the guy looking for a great vacation spot where girls are yours for the asking (and a few baht). Treat these girls like you're on a date and you'll have the time of your life. Even when you pay for everything, it's still cheaper than a regular date and you get the bonus of knowing you're getting laid at the end of the night. I read in one report about the importance of shaving. This is the first vacation I ever took where I shaved every day and let me tell you, it made a big difference. Asian women (and come on guys, most women) dig smooth skin. It'll make French Kissing that much more doable if you shave.

And to me, this is the most important thing: if it doesn't work out with one girl, there's a million (or what seems like a million) other girls who want to help you have a great time.
