Don't worry your pretty little head about SURE while you are in Hawaii. Kendricks found out where you are staying and is going to call you each afternoon with a report.

Lets see .06 x 1000 shares of SURE equals $60.

I would rather be in a position to second guess you like that damn Kendricks does to me.

By the way, I recall you smoke and I just purchased 50 cigars from one of the Cuban mafia guys who fucked by little Adriana.

After you get back we will have to light up a couple of these sticks at Adelitas and you and your SP can show me pictures from your trip.

By Ben on Thursday, March 13, 2003 - 09:11 am:  Edit

I just bought TYCO at $12.45 per share, including an $180 dollar commission and have an open order to sell the April 121/2 Calls at $1.05 per share. It pencils rather well.

By Kendricks on Thursday, March 13, 2003 - 01:15 pm:  Edit

The only problem with that is, if TYCO continues to sink, you will never get your sell order filled, and will be left hanging with no downside protection.

I recommend not entering trades unless the market price of the option justifies the transaction.

March 3,2003 WEL was a .30 stock with 2 million shares traded. Currently trading at $1.76 and over 30 million shares traded so far today. 79 million shares traded yesterday.

About a week ago it was at .50 and I suggested it might be worth speculating on this stock.

I SURE wish I have followed that thought.

By Ben on Wednesday, March 19, 2003 - 06:47 am:  Edit

Fuck, Damn, Shit

WEL trading at $2.36

I guess they expect allot of well fires in Iraq.

By Ben on Thursday, March 20, 2003 - 07:28 am:  Edit

Well, I SURE am glad I stayed away from WEL.

Down .74 (35%) this morning and currently trading at $1.36.

Talk about profit taking!

I hope some of these current speculators/investors had stop losses on WEL.

By Ben on Thursday, March 20, 2003 - 08:22 am:  Edit

Going up and down faster than a TJ street girl.

Now at $2.25

By Kendricks on Thursday, March 20, 2003 - 09:26 pm:  Edit

Ben, in addition to my covered call trades, I am thinking about using the "leftover change" in my account every month to look for stocks beaten down far below their rational value. Take FTUS, for example. It was obvious to me when it recently got smacked down below 2 recently that it was definitely way undervalued, and sure enough, it is now well over 3.

Of course, I would apply my value criteria to any such trades, to avoid outright speculation.

What are your thoughts on this?

It would SURE be nice to see another flat day in the stock market tomorrow, since all of my stocks are poised to get assigned.

By Ben on Friday, March 21, 2003 - 09:10 am:  Edit

Most stocks which trade below $5 are there for a reason. They usually are not very good companies.

WEL is a good example of how these stocks can make and lose allot of money in a hurry. Total speculation. There is truth to the old adage on these type of stocks "Porker you are a racist (RIP Benito, you purebred Indian midget) just has Amos or who ever it was suggested. I am not a midget and sure as hell not purebred.

I don't agree with allot of what you said, but man you know how to write well, or is that gooder than most.

By the way, lets give the U.S. credit for a positive thing from invading Iraqi. The price of oil has dropped from $40 a barrel a month ago down to $27.50 a barrel as we speak.

I think that we will see a more stable Middle East as the new Iraqi government takes over and we rehab Iraq. Back in the 60's and early 70's when we had "our" dictators running most of the middle east, oil prices were stable and Iran and Iraqi were very friendly in their policies toward the U.S..

Good post Porker

Sorry,

What I was trying to say on these penny stocks is "buy on the rumor, sell on the news"

Allot of truth to that old saw.

Hey, Good idea.

Once we take over the world can you imagine the profits U.S companies will make?

Oh man, I SURE had a great time in Waikiki. Nothing like being in Hawaii with a fave, oceanfront room, and watching the stock market go up every day the old fashioned way by reading the morning paper as she comes prancing out of the shower and asks if I want another blowjob.

Uh,

yeah,

SURE!!!!

Rented a nice car, toured the island, drank many, many Mai Tais at the Sheraton Moana and the Royal Hawaiian.

Excellent, excellent, excellent.

She was amazed.

Oh and the Japanese girls, wow!!

I had a great time in Waikiki too. Renting a convertible around town. Motorcycle up Diamond Head. Things are a little expensive though:-).

I have always loved Hawaii and am curious about the Japanese women you casually mentioned.

Are there now Japanese hookers down on Waikiki at night?

Nice summary of the increase in biz for SURE. SURE looks like they will be in the black sometime this year, and...., when RTE is FDA approved, well, you know what I think.

There was a dearth of SGs on Kalakaua Ave. and since I brought my own pro I didn't really scout around. It's just that many of the Japanese tourist gals are sooooo pretty. Very stylish.

Hey Ben, you might want to take a look at REGN.

By Ben on Tuesday, March 25, 2003 - 05:11 pm:  Edit

Ken Ken,

Decent chart and very very attractive April premiun.

The earnings suck and look like they are going to be worse next year. Of course you don't buy these stocks to hold on to them.

I may buy 500 shares and sell either the April 20's or 17 1/2's. What are you thinking?

By the way, thanks for the suggestion. I think I forgot to thank Ldvee when he forced me into buying a 1000 shares of SURE at $4.65!!!

By Kendricks on Tuesday, March 25, 2003 - 05:33 pm:  Edit

I'm going with the 17.5's. At current levels this trade offers an 8% gain for a trade of less than three weeks, and significant downside protection.

With an entry point of 19.79 and a premium of 3.6, the stock would have to fall over 18% in the next 3 1/2 weeks before you started to lose any money on this trade.

I let a pretty substantial percentage of my account ride on this one. Anything is possible, but I think the odds of this stock plunging below 16 over the next few weeks is pretty slim.
