Just dumped my last shares of REGN to jump onto JNIC at 3.30.

By Kendricks on Friday, April 11, 2003 - 10:04 am:  Edit

I'm going to keep doing the covered calls, and also look for low priced down and out stocks with solid financials that are breaking out to the upside.

After that REGN debacle, though, I am going to be more wary about selling calls on speculative stocks, and will stick harder to my diversification rules.

Putting too big a bet down selling calls on a speculative stock is just plain stupid, even if the premium is huge and the calls are well in the money - and it is a mistake I will never make again. I was up over 20% prior to that mistake, and wiped out more than half of my hard earned gains on that catastrophe.

By Kendricks on Sunday, April 13, 2003 - 10:29 pm:  Edit

LOL! Someone on the SURE board just offered to give oral sex to everyone on the entire board, if they will stop replying to me!

By Ldvee on Monday, April 14, 2003 - 04:56 am:  Edit

That was jrudkus (Jurgis Rudkus, the main character in Sinclair's THE JUNGLE). The guy can be pretty funny at times.

What's the sermon this week Rev jdk? It can't be the evil of profit from adulterated food.

yikes, for SURE, watch out below.

My exit price gets further and further away.

My plan has always been to die broke, you know the story, the last check I write will be to the undertaker and it will bounce. I just didn't plan on dying so soon.

8200 for SURE for Ben.

Come on you guys, where is your scientific estimates?

By Ben on Monday, April 14, 2003 - 06:57 am:  Edit

Errrr, I just had a thought.

What happens id someone gets sick, or worse, dies after eating some irradiated meat?

By Ldvee on Monday, April 14, 2003 - 07:30 am:  Edit

Well certainly it was contaminated after the package was opened by coming in contact with non-electrocuted food.

Or it was due to God's will.

By Ben on Monday, April 14, 2003 - 07:56 am:  Edit

Going down to see my new little teenager today.

Plan on giving her some irradiated sausage at La Mansion.

By Ben on Monday, April 14, 2003 - 08:07 am:  Edit

Damn Kendricks,

Why don't you suggest that the next CEO at Sure be a good christian who will shut down the companies business and going into the bible printing business.

By Ldvee on Monday, April 14, 2003 - 08:14 am:  Edit

La Mansion is a great place. Spent a few hours there Sat night. Yes, with the aging fave.

Hopelessly addicted.

Do you use the jacuzzi rooms?

By Kendricks on Monday, April 14, 2003 - 08:56 am:  Edit

This is great fun, but I'm getting ready to take off for the week. See you when I get back! Ben, that's a great idea - I think I'll hit them with that as a parting shot!

By Ben on Monday, April 14, 2003 - 09:07 am:  Edit

Have a nice week.

I think you have done a good job as a christian.

Maybe you should show up in a week suggesting that you went to a siminar on religion and have changed your mind and have switched to Hinduism.
They are one of the religions of the world who will not eat beef.

Hey T_Bone,

It would be nice if you would make your damn post before the market opens on Monday.

Hell any idiot(me)could win six times in a row if I did it after the market opened!!!!

I thought one of 'Ben's rules' was you had until the end of the day Monday. The disadvantage of that is you are limited in what you can pick.

By Ben on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 - 10:57 am:  Edit

I am just pissed off that you have won six weeks in a row.

I may have to change the rules to make sure you stop winning!

By Ldvee on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 - 06:54 pm:  Edit

grrr

SURE is fun, it's all the holy roller jdk's fault. Now I'm stuck with a loser, down about 50%, I guess that's around 20 fucking thousand dollars. Jeez. Earnings CC coming up in a week or two. Yikes.

Are you taking pleasure in my (paper) loss jdk? All this cuz I was drunk one night (one???) and bashed Bush.

Ben, I've offered to get the jacuzzi room but she's not interested.

Go T_bone, hope you win this week.

By Kendricks on Saturday, April 19, 2003 - 09:55 pm:  Edit

DOW 8337 - how come no one acknowleged my win? I almost hit it on the head for an unprecedented third time! 8791 next week, you bastards!

Ldvee, I hope SURE comes back up for you. If it demonstrates any signs of breaking out from a base, I may even buy some.

Imagine the reaction when I come back to the SURE board, and announce that God has reconsidered his position, and now endorses electrocuted meat!

By Ldvee on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 06:56 am:  Edit

All right, Kendricks is going for 8791!!

I'll guess I'll bet on an up week too,

8600, a bit more than 3%.

My plan for SURE has always been to sell when RTE is approved. There's a big FDA meeting in early May. I'll find out more and stay on top of it. If it doesn't look like it's going to happen, I may lighten the load a bit and take a loss, I dunno.

Last week was good, I think they should close the market more often, especially during the down cycles to let them blow over - makes sense to me.

8500 for Ben.

Take a look at PRVT. Not optionable, but it is selling for a great price, and a company I can really feel good about investing in.

If I owned SURE right now, I would dump all that I own, and pour it into PRVT. I took profits on my PRCP trade this morning, and did exactly that.

By Ldvee on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 08:13 am:  Edit

"a company I can really feel good about investing in"

well I can understand that, they offer a service (provider of adult media content for a wide range of media platforms) that will always be in demand and that I've been using in some way since I was 12 or 13. I think National Geographic was the first source I came across, so to speak.

How cum they're not profitable? It's not like it's a new service.

By Kendricks on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 08:55 am:  Edit

I don't know why they are not profitable, but it is a great bottom feeding trade. Look for it to be at least in the $2 to $3 range within a month.

By Ben on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 09:09 am:  Edit

Company is off shore and it is possible that they purposely create a loss to avoid paying taxes (an optimistic point of view).

Company being raped by management and they could care less about the stockholders. (realistic point of view).

As bad as the U.S. companies accounting irregularities have been, foreign corporate accounting has been even worse over the years and they are less regulated.

By Kendricks on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 09:35 am:  Edit

Well, I'm just looking for the quick bounce up to the $2 - $3 range. As far as covered call trades go, take a look at OVER and SKX.

By Kendricks on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 09:44 am:  Edit

ACTT is another good bottom feeding trade right now. If I owned SURE but didn't like PRVT, I would dump my SURE shares and get into this trade. I put my left over cash from the sale of calls on OVER and SKX into this bad boy this morning.

By Kendricks on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 09:46 am:  Edit

REGN just keeps on sinking - I SURE am glad I dumped my shares of this piece of shit. Both REGN and SURE are on my watch list, though, as potential bottom feeding trades if they ever eventually show signs of breaking up out of a base.

Acknowledgement to The Great Kendricks!!!!!

He finally won.

By Kendricks on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 10:22 am:  Edit

Not only did I "finally" win, I also almost nailed the Dow exactly on the mark for an unprecedented third time. In fact, I think I am the only person to hit the Dow exactly on the head even ONE time, not to mention the TWO times I have done it in the past.

By Ben on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 10:24 am:  Edit

Yeah,

Will to bad you can't hit you stocks on the head.

By Kendricks on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 10:51 am:  Edit

What? With one notable exception, I have been kicking some serious ass lately.

By Ben on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 11:14 am:  Edit

Your right and I wish no bad stock picks on anyone. I have unfortunately made a few bad picks in my life time. It comes with the territory.

I do think you are just gambling, not investing, for the most part when buying low priced stocks. I do wish you the best of luck, I mean sucess with this strategy. It seems to me you are just trying to make back quickly what you lost.

I SURE plan to stay away from $1.00 stocks, but appreciate the fact you are willing to stick your neck out and admit ahead of time what you are doing. Nothing irritates me more than some person after the fact saying they did this or that and then implying "look how smart I am".

By Kendricks on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 11:52 am:  Edit

I am only trying out the low priced stock deals with small amounts of cash. The bulk of my account is still in covered call trades. I still think that strategy shows great long term potential, provided I follow my basic rules outlines earlier.

Here are the bottom feeding trades I am in:

PRCP (already closed for a profit)
JNIC
PRVT
ACTT
VPHM
DHB

I have allotted a minor percentage of my account to this strategy, and will either parlay it into much larger amounts (in the best case scenario), or lose it, and replace it with outside funds to continue writing covered calls with.

Whatever happens, my guess is it will be exciting...

You guys are so mean to Ben. When I met him about a month ago I was expecting to see a hundred year old man. In his defense I must say he didn't look a day over eighty.

Gracias Snapper

You should see the little 19 year old who I was fucking today. She doesn't look a day over 16.

Milktoast,

You are truly amazing. You nailed that stock before I had three words out of my mouth.

Scary how intelligent my friends have become over the years

By Ldvee on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 - 06:17 am:  Edit

Just woke up and checked out the SURE yahoos. jdk, maybe today is the day that Jesus's mouthpiece does his own U-Turn and becomes bullish. Seems that SURE has done one in after hour trading.

jdk, take on jrudkus if he wants to play. It would be entertaining.

I tell ya, this is the first time I made a large bet on a speculative stock and it's driving me crazy. I'll think twice before doing it again.

Good thing most of the meager retirement stash is in the hands of a pro. Otherwise, I'd certainly lose it all.

By Ldvee on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 - 07:53 am:  Edit

Alright! Time to electrocute the mail.

By Ben on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 - 08:21 am:  Edit

I think jdk007 should mention titheing on the profits we have made on Sure. It is OK to give money to Gaaad, even it comes from ill-gotten gains. That ought to stir up some stuff.

Not that Kendricks needs my help to piss people off.

By Kendricks on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 - 08:53 am:  Edit

I'm taking a second look at PRVT, and I'm not sure what it was that I saw in it. It looks like it could easily be heading back down. I think I'm going to cut this one loose.

By Ben on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 - 09:04 am:  Edit

I was talking to Milkman yesterday as I was driving south and mentioned PRVT not by name or stock symbol, but by their business discription.

He guessed the name of the company immediately.

Bad news is that he did not comment on its sucess or failure.

By Kendricks on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 - 09:16 am:  Edit

Buying PRVT was like having a cheap hooker in a dark bar offer you all kinds of nasty sex for a bargain price, but then having your dick shrivel up when you finally see her under decent lighting. I decided to give her a small tip and send her on her way.
