ACTG looks like a lousey company to me and I would have never bought it in the first place.
I would take your profit.
It is sad what happened in Santa Monica. Just shows you that you had better lead life to the fullest as who knows when it is your time to die.
By Kendricks on Thursday, July 17, 2003 - 10:13 am: Edit |
ACTG is a sleazy company, but I think there is more upside to the stock. It rebounded off support, and there could be a big jump from here. I'm going to hold on.
I always get a little vicarious thrill out of stuff like the Santa Monica incident. Since most of the people I meet at random are nothing but shallow assholes, the odds dictate that I would be happy if I personally knew the victims of this tragedy.
Plus, it freaks my coworkers out when I giggle while talking about it...
By Ben on Thursday, July 17, 2003 - 10:32 am: Edit |
You are one crazy bastard.
I guess that is why I enjoy your point of view.
By Kendricks on Thursday, July 17, 2003 - 12:09 pm: Edit |
LOL. By the way, I just picked up some ALT at 1.63. Buy when there's blood in the streets...
By Ben on Thursday, July 17, 2003 - 12:28 pm: Edit |
You are not only crazy, you are nuts.
I made that post about ALT as to why you should stay away from biotechs that have no marketable products.
Oh well, Dead cats do bounce.
A client of mine bought 10,000 shares of UDW today. Huge volume today based on some kind of positive news about their revenue. Pure gambling/speculation on his part because he saw it coming across the botton of his TV while watching CNBC
By Kendricks on Thursday, July 17, 2003 - 01:40 pm: Edit |
My ALT shares are already up 5.5% from my entry. I think I should hold out for at least a 100% gain, though.
By Kendricks on Thursday, July 17, 2003 - 03:00 pm: Edit |
REGN, IMCL, OMG, ALT. What do all of these stocks have in common?
By Ben on Friday, July 18, 2003 - 09:20 am: Edit |

If only he could pick stocks as well.

Ben picks 9300 for next week.
By Ldvee on Friday, July 18, 2003 - 07:29 pm: Edit |
If only.........
Maybe my luck is changing. I'm thinking about opening a $10K TDWaterhouse online account with the RV total loss payoff so I can get 10,000 frequent flyer miles and lose my money more easily.
But since I have 2 great stock gurus to advise me I won't have to blame myself.
Did I mention that my insurance company is covering eventho I was in Mex?
By Ldvee on Friday, July 18, 2003 - 07:29 pm: Edit |
oh yeah,
9250 next week

I don't usually like to buy stocks this high priced, but NLS looks very compelling at these levels.
By Ldvee on Monday, July 21, 2003 - 08:27 am: Edit |
Kendricks, keep posting, I'm taking notes and watching your picks.

Maybe I should get one of these NAUTILUS contraptions. Doggie style is getting rough on my back. I guess I'll have to do more frequently.
Man my back is sore 8^)
By Kendricks on Monday, July 21, 2003 - 08:43 am: Edit |
So the Fools agree with me on this one! I'm not a Fool follower, I found that stock through my normal screening process. Interesting that they picked it up at about the same time I did, though. Hopefully, the Fools' following will help this stock blast off quickly.

OK Kendricks,
I just got cashed in on 500 shares of PFE and 1500 shares of ICOS plus I had a large muni bond called.
Give me some stocks recomendations. I may buy back in now but I may wait a month.
Big companies with lots pf volume. None of your penny stocks.
I don't like NLS.
By Kendricks on Monday, July 21, 2003 - 04:10 pm: Edit |
FONR is breaking out of its base, and is getting ready to kick some serious ass. Up 12% today, and it keeps racking up sales for its patented Stand Up MRI.
Why buy a big, overpriced company in the hopes of making a 5 to 10% gain, when you can make 100% or more in FONR over the next few months?
By Ben on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 08:37 am: Edit |
Kendricks,
Damn FONR is up again today.
By Kendricks on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 08:39 am: Edit |
I just saw that - up 11%! You jumped on board yesterday, DIDN'T YOU?
By Ben on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 09:08 am: Edit |
Uh, NO .
I read about the history of the company and Dr. Damadian. I wonder why this stock has lanquished for so many years?
By Kendricks on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 10:29 am: Edit |
You mean, you read that the inventer of the original MRI has the patent to the world's only Stand Up MRI, and you still passed????
Oh well, your loss. The stock is up 30% from my entry, and is picking up momentum. Did you also read about the increasing frequency of the sales of these machines? Or the rave reviews by the doctors using them?
I'm glad I took a nice, fat position in this baby after doing my DD!
By Ben on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 10:57 am: Edit |
OKOKOKOKOK
I just put in a buy order for 5,000 shares at $1.53 "all or none".
I SURE wonder what I am doing, but what the hell, its only money
By Ben on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 11:03 am: Edit |
Order was just filled for a total of $7704.
Now I need to go to the liquor store and buy a lotto ticket.
By Kendricks on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 11:04 am: Edit |
You are going to owe me a beer by the time this one is said and done!
By Ben on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 11:11 am: Edit |
Lets put a steak lunch/dinner on this one.
I decide when to sell.
If I make a profit of at least $500 I buy the steak dinner in TJ. If I sell at a loss of $500 or more you buy the steak.
By Kendricks on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 11:25 am: Edit |
$500 is pretty tight. 10% and you are on!!
By Ben on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 11:35 am: Edit |
OK
If I make $770 or more I buy.
If I lose $770 or more you buy.
Anything in between and it is a push. I make the buy sell decision.
This investment does not solve my problem.

You're on. What is the problem you are referring to?
By Ben on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 12:01 pm: Edit |
I have some money to invest.
By Ben on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 - 01:02 pm: Edit |
Ldvee,
You stay away from this stock.
FONR closed up .14 at $1.54.
Huge volume.
By Ldvee on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 06:56 am: Edit |
I saw a spam post about FONR on the SURE board. Maybe a huge spam compaign is an effective way to pop the price.
Come on, lemmee buy some, OK OK?
By Kendricks on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 07:15 am: Edit |
People are now spamming other message boards, in order to increase FONR's visibility? My god, what has this world come to? People have no shame or dignity left anymore. Absolutely disgusting.
Unless it was a message from jdk00 or valuehawg, of course. In that case, it was just a good samaritan, trying to help fellow investors find the way....
I grant thee permission to buy FONR, my son. It is at a great entry point right now, and I think your luck has changed with the RV payoff.
By Ben on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 07:33 am: Edit |
OK Ldvee,
I will sell you my 5000 shares at my entry price, as I am now down $250.
Kendricks,
If you sell this pig, you need to tell me.
By Ben on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 07:50 am: Edit |
I am not going to look at FONR again this week.
Oh well.
One filet mignon medium rare por favor.
By Ben on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 08:44 am: Edit |
I had a client buy 10,000 shares of UDW at $3054.00 last week. He sold this morning for $4794.
This is scarey shit. I hate penny stocks.
By Kendricks on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 09:05 am: Edit |
I'm not selling FONR until I make at LEAST a 100% gain on my money. I will probably stick around longer than that.
After the predictable shakeout this morning, it is going up again.
By Kendricks on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 09:08 am: Edit |
NLS is up from my 10.70 entry to 11.61 this morning.
By Ben on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 09:41 am: Edit |
Great on NLS.
Remind me that I haven't been to the gym in a week.....
By Kendricks on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 10:00 am: Edit |
I just took a nice 8% profit on NLS. Not bad for two days. I'll probably buy it again if it drops back below 11.
By Kendricks on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 04:18 pm: Edit |
Any blackjack players out there? I doubled down on ALT today.
By Ldvee on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 07:53 pm: Edit |
I don't get it. The insurance totalled my RV because of the $7000 repair and just offered a settlement of $14,600. I figured it was worth $12K, would have reluctantly settled for 10.
Uh, well, uh, gee OK, I guess 14.6 is about right, but will you cover the $800 towing charge too??
So now I have $14K lying around. No more RVs.
Hmmmmmm
Sometimes the dumbing down of America works in your favor. Like when I upgraded to full cable from the $12 cheapo variety, the tech guys got the message, gave me full cable, but gee somehow the billing dept didn't get the message. Still paying $12 for TV.
By Kendricks on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 - 10:15 pm: Edit |
Lsvee:
Allocate 4k to each to ALT, FONR, and MSSN.
Take the other 2k and go on a marathon fucking spree.
This is probably the best advice you will ever get in your entire life. Trust me now, and you will thank me later.

Another Stand Up MRI sale by FONR! http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/030724/242001_1.html
The 53rd sale customer states as follows:
Mr. Norman Brettler, M.H.A., administrator for Tilton Dynamic Imaging, said: "I have been involved with busy MRI imaging businesses for many years. The vast majority of all MRI scans are orthopedic related. Because of this, I believe that the weight-bearing capabilities of the FONAR's Position Imaging(tm) (pMRI(tm)) scanner place it in a position to capture a majority of the MRI scan market. Referring physicians will now be able to obtain information that is simply unobtainable from other scanners."
