You ever notice that guys only post their wins here? And once they post their predictions, their winning record isn't so good anymore? And, after a while, once they start losing, they stop posting?
It just amazes me that some guys think they can beat the odds consistently.

Porker, not to mention Shaq's free throw attempt, that was huge, not as big as Kobe's shot, but wow, what a relief to see that free throw go in. Fooledagain1, you are the man, nice wagers.

Thanks Dude !!!! Kinda eerie, looks almost exactly what happened to Rasheed`s Trailblazer in 1999 con. finals against the Spurs when Elliot made a 3 from the corner to complete a come back win in a game Portland should of won, it took everything out of the trailblazers and they got hammered in games 3 & 4 back haome, and what about the next year when the trailblazers led the Lakers by 13 to start the 4th quarter in game 7, only to lose. Is Rasheed snakebitten ? I had both of those Portland teams @ 10-1 to win the title, exactly what i have Detroit at to win the title, eerie !!! Only difference, i did buy off on Spurs and LA on both porland tickets but not on Detroit ticket, Detroit is as mentally tough a team as you`ll ever find, i still feel Detroit has a very good shot to win it , somehow they`ll find a way to get it done.

Lol, re: 36.5 units. Why do I get the impression that your 'units' are 20 pesos each?
Still... That's not 1/2 bad!!!
By Khun_mor on Wednesday, June 09, 2004 - 09:54 pm: Edit |
Porker and Bulitt --- Kobe and Shaq both made big plays at the end of the game but they would have meant nothing without what Luke Walton did earlier. IMO he was the MVP of that game. The Lakers were floundering before he picked them up with energy and some incredibly smart plays. For a rook with little playing time this year he has outstanding poise and is just a natural in knowing what to do with and without the ball. Phil better give this guy a lot more game time and give Payton more pine time or the Lakers may be toast.
By Porker on Wednesday, June 09, 2004 - 11:07 pm: Edit |
Luke Walton is Mark Madsen-lite. Interesting to watch for the guys who love white hustle-types. My fave in that niche was Mark Landsberger, but he got Rambis-ed soon after joining the Lakers. I always HATED Rambis!
By Fooledagain1 on Thursday, June 10, 2004 - 06:11 am: Edit |
EXactly, Luke Walton kept the Lakers in position for Kobe to work his magic at the end of the game.
Team sports are just that, a team game, it takes everyone contributing for a team to win, just because you have Shaq and Kobe doesn`t mean anything without others contributing, look at game 1, those 2 go off and LA gets drilled because the rest go 6 for 30. Look at game 6 again st MINNY, Rush makes 6 straight 3 pointers without those most likely going to game 7, and that`s with minny 2cd best playing riding the bench for 90% of the series. The signs have been there all season that the Lakers are more lucky than good but most can`t see them because they only see Shaq and Kobe and they think with those 2 it`s a lock, it`s not.
Porker -- Your half right - my best bets, games of 10 units or more - which i win at a incredible high rate - posted 8 games in 2004 and am 7-1 in those games, (only loss, LA winning series over SA) i`m sitting on major money.

Arizona -4 (-160) over Colorado --- 4.8 units to win 3 units
Should have a decent chance to do it, was hoping to get -3 as the public is coming in on Colorado but not enough to get to -3, if Arizona wins by 3 i won`t be a happy camper.

Greatest team of all time, nope, most overrated team of all time would be more accurate. We can all put that nonsense behind us now, the Lakers were overrated the 1st day of training camp, and overrated ever since. They never played championship caliber basketball and were far more lucky then they were ever good.

Kobe guarantees victory, you knopw what that means, load up on the Pistons, not to smart giving the better team added incentive, when he loses he`ll say i was just trying to motivate my teammates, and if he happens to win he`ll come out of it smelling like a rose.
Detroit -1 (-140) over LA game 5 --- 4.2 units to win 3 units, i`ll use this game as a parlay with one team for the Arena bowl, so if a win i bring 7.2 units over to bet on Arena bowl;

Right now looks like a bad time to be selling property insurance in Detroit.
