My speciality is the playoffs, i tried to figure out the regular season but it`s a tough nut to crack. I will do the Arena football playoffs coming soon, finished with a winning record last season. I will tie in some parlays with Arena and NBA as i did last season .

The Mavs played like the soft losers they have been for soo many years now. Really poor second half and pathetic overtime performance. I think San Antonio is in trouble next round. They didn't look too sharp against an undermanned Seattle team.

I agree KM. I was very disappointed in Mavs. They played a great game for the 2/3 of the game, and then went soft. A trend that has been consistent over that past 3 or 4 seasons.

San Antonio looked to be struggling against a decidedly inferior Sonics, so it could be a tough ride for them against the Suns.

Beware of Detroit! They are proving to be a talented and tenacious team. Miami is tough, but if they aren't real careful, Detroit will pick them apart. They were tough against a good Indiana team.

KM - Yea, I hit a few bumps in the road but it wasn`t likely i would mantain the pace i was on, it was only a matter of when not if i would lose a few games.

I would have to disagree with both your and Val`s take on the Spurs, Suns series. There`s and old adage in sports betting circles - No team is as good as they look when they are winning nor are they as bad as they look when they are losing, the truth lies somewhere in between.

The Suns have played over their heads thus far and will at some point return to earth, and the Spurs have played under their heads and should return to their norm.

This is where sports betting gets a little tricky, believe it or not, I actually like the Spurs more now, not less.

As for Detroit, they are playing much better, but not likely to win the title. Philly and Indy were both outplayed by their opponents in the regular season, it`s rare for teams like this to even make the playoffs, let alone have any sucess in the playoffs, don`t be fooled by Detroits play thus far.

If the Daddy were healthy, not likely Detroit would beat the heat, maybe he`s playing possum, i hope so. Have a nice futures bet on Heat to win the East made before Shaq`s injury, considered buying off on Detroit last round because of the injury, now it looks like I`m stuck with it.

Hey Lancer, Well, if Shaq can play his game not likely Det can win the series, but that`s a big if at this point. Alot of experts have also been takiing Det to win the East, and even to repeat. All those experts are a couple of dollars short and about a year late. But obviously if Shaq can`t play his game that changes everything, then Det probally will win the East.

Miami has played on a very high level all season, better than Det of last year, much better than Det of this year. No team in the past 25 years has won the title with the combination of regular season stats that Det has this season.

Interesting to note, Spurs have taken 21 more 3 point shot then the Suns, made 7 more although Suns shot 3.2% higher. Suns have taken and made more 2 point shots. Spurs have taken 21 more free throws and made 13 more. Spurs ave 6 more boards per game.

Where as the Spurs played below their norm vs Sonics, they are now playing above their norm, i would be careful with this team now as they should return to norm soon, if not game 4 then in finals. If they rout Suns game 4 then likely would lose 1 of first 2 games in finals.

Consider this --- Duncan is shooting 91.7% from line vs Suns, not likely to continue. He made every free throw in game 3 if he shot his norm might of got the cover. He`s a 67% shooter regular season.
Barry is shooting 60% on 3`s vs Suns, (35.7% regular season)
Horry 46.2% on 3`s, (37% reg season)

Consider that Shawn Marion shot 52% on 3`s (34% reg season) vs Dallas, now look , you can`t mantain those kinds of performances over many games.

VS Sonics both Parker and Duncan shot below their norms, so they appeared to be not playing well. The biggest challenge in sports betting is trying to determine if a team isn`t playing well or just not motavated to bring their A-game. It`s most likely the Spurs never felt challenged by Sonics, they pretty much knew they`d win, but they know the Suns are scoring machine and if they don`t bring their A-game they could be in trouble. That`s why the playoffs are more predictable than reg season because teams bring their A-game more than not.

Fooledagain, I just kept listening to that an announcer saying the Heat had opportunities to go up 8 and couldn't. That was the game, they fell apart after that. Lancer, Spurs favored by 6 this Thursday. Spurs and Pistons split the regular season, but when the Pistons beat the Spurs 110-101 late in the season, Duncan only played 2 minutes.

I'd go with the Spurs too. I'm just sooo happy that I don't have to put up with Shaq crowing and strutting about in the Finals. I'm a diehard Laker fan. I'm usually pulling for former Lakers, especially someone like Shaq, that gave LA so much, but he has just done too much Laker hating/bashing. I know that there's still a lot of Shaq fans in LA, but everyone I know was pulling for Detroit, just to shut Shaq up.

Lancer - Everything that correlates to winning the NBA Title overwelmingly takes the Spurs, a team playing similar to the Spurs vs a team playing similar to the Pistons, the team playinjg like the Spurs has won over 85% of the time in history.

Det is very inconsistent on off, but they dominate the boards to make up for it, Spurs are as good in reb as Det. Spurs are better than 100% healthy Miami, Det went to the final minute of game 7 to beat a banged-up team.

Bullit - I thought they had it then they fell apart down the stretch. I still think if Shaq is 100% healthy and same with Wade, Heat win series. Both Shaq and Wade had fluke injuries and they still went to final minute of game 7.
