I couldn't agree more with you Xen; however not all newbies are created equal. I kid you not, I remember a few months ago someone posted the following: "I'm thinking about taking a trip to Bangkok. Could you all please tell me where to stay, where to find sex, and generally what to do?" They hadn't read a damn thing on the site. It was sheer laziness that cried out "please spoon feed me." I think I responded by saying something to the effect of "1. Please read a number of trip reports in the trip report archive. 2. Please scan all the areas under Thailand in the Discus section. 3. After doing your research, then come back and ask questions." I try to be very helpful to people on the site, but this one in particular was pathetic. It was a terse response, but I mean, come on!
