You have my condolences wallstreet. It is very generous of you at this time to come to the board and make such an important point. This is something that really strikes close to home under my personal circumstances.

My aging parents live in Ventura County...I live in Los Angeles and travel regularly to Tijuana...sometimes for extended multi-day visits. My dad barely survived a heart attack 3 years ago, so as much as I'd like to just jump out of town incommunicado and blackout my travel to the loved ones back home, I have felt the responsibility to let the folks know I'm going to Mexico and provide them with a contact number - and it is a burden.

Since both of them would drop dead instantaneously if they knew the reason I spend so much time in Mexico, I've had to resort to constructing elaborate false scenarios to explain my presence there. When I've had special amigas who I plan to spend extended time with, I'll give the folks their phone numbers along with false biographies of who these chicas are (how I envy you guys who have the privilege of openness with family concerning your mongering activities). I have to explain to the chicas what is going on in case a call comes in, and there actually have been instances of my TJ novias having phone contact with Mom & Dad. Sheesh, it makes my skin crawl to have to direct such an elaborate deception but I am unaware of an alternate approach.

Thanks for raising an important issue in the midst of a difficult time for the benefit of the entire group.
