Suzuki, If you're looking for some place besides Mexican border towns where you can get by only on English you might want to check out Angeles City in the Philippines (and/or Manilla), Bangkok, Hong Kong/Macau (read Xen's excellent daily reports in Asia chat) or possibly Panama or Costa Rica (Latin American countries with strong current/historical US ties). I would also suspect that Buenos Ares might be more English friendly than Brazil. Just guessing here though - perhaps one of the Argentina hombres could shed some light? I've always wondered how well I could do in Argentina with my high school German! ouan drew
