I would simply encourage all of you to try and keep calm and your wits about you when you are confronted by the police. Please realize that if they do this they will get NOTHING, and may actually get shit for fucking with tourists who aren't doing anything wrong. If you stick up for yourself, not belligerently but calmly and rationally and steadfastly REFUSE to offer them any money, there is a very small chance that they will drag you in. As I am sure you all know, like good poker players, they are looking for easy marks. They are experienced bluffers. If you act like a deer in the headlights, they have you exactly where they want you.
