A little remedial political-geography, eh? Check your globe everyday, gentlemen. You never know what'll happen next.... During the recent Mexican presidential election, I recall reading an education minister in Mexico saying that to teach English is often futile because many in Mexico don't even speak Spanish! Not sure what that means exactly , unless they are referring to many in Mexico speaking indigenous languages, Spanish dialects or a combination thereof. BTW, the vast majority of the people who live in the western hemisphere (with a mere 7 or 8 percent of the world's population) speak Spanish. Maybe they just don't give a darn about English. KRICO |
