I had an international driver's license once. I got it at AAA. Anyone can walk in and pay the money and get one. that was about 10 years ago though, so i am not sure that you can still get them at AAA but a phone call would confirm. Unfortunately, most cops in other countries have never seen an international driver's license and might look at you like you are from mars.
