Glad I'm not going to TJ this weekend. I of course would cooperate with Phase II, but i would not cooperate at all with phase I. The supreme court has already made rulings on cases involving checking people's IDs when somebody hasn't done anything wrong. My leaving my own country is not due cause to check my ID in any way. Coming home is a different story of course and i cooperate. I simply won't tolerate being picked out and harrassed for no reason. I would simply tell them i don't have to show them anything and they need to go check the laws and then keep walking. If they grabbed me, which i am sure they would. That would force the issue and i would have to relent and give them my ID. However, i am under no obligation to tell them shit about what i am going to be doing. If i told them anything it would likely be "none of your business", or "travelling".
