Nomar, Sorry about the knee-jerk response to your post, I have a bad habit of ranting sometimes. Anyways as to your second paragraph...oh yeah, have to agree big time...money can be every bit an addictive drug as anything. Part of my "vibe" (for want of a better term and all that) is every once in awhile I get shocked back into reality from this weird fantasy/delusion that TJ and payin' for playin' presents. The last two nights I've been tagging around with "old" friends (the one's that wonder what the hell happened to me the last couple of years...I don't go to flicks, ballgames, the track or bar-hopping with them anymore)and went to some halloween parties and encountered and interacted with "normal" people again. For the most part it was BS, watching people sing to Karaoke and stuff....but what was weird was talking to women...plenty of whom are in the same situation as the women we meet in TJ, kids and no hubby...and how they are surviving. One I met last night runs a company with another woman and they do light household repairs. She was ok looking, nothing I'd pay 60 bucks for (HAH!)but the way she expressed her feelings for her kids and stuff was identical, it was her solution that was a stark contrast. The point of this latest rant...I dunno...we all have our own motivations for doing what we do. It sounds like the married guys are trying to stretch their legs a little and scratch a few itches...and the non-hooked up ones(like me)are either looking for something or appear to have given up and accepted the "hobby" as the way they relate to women. They both seem like self-destructive dead ends to me...I'm not threatening to "retire" again (I'll probably go tonight after the Niners game...HAH!) but trying to put things in perspective.
