This is good information, but it doesn't tell you how to avoid being detained in the first place. I showed my driver's license and the costume's officer still wanted more to check out. The scenario I am worried about is the following. You show a valid driver's license and the office says that it could be a fake (there are alot of fake driver's licenses out there) and you are going to be detained for further investigation. To avoid this, would it be better to bring your passport or perhaps keep a zerox copy of your passport in your wallet?
