I admit to my reaction being a bit knee-jerked (blame it on the eggnog?) Yes I'm fine with "agree to disagree". No hard feeling there. I guess the only issue is, just like real life controversial topics such as school prayer, abortion... EVERYONE agrees that we all have different and contrasting viewpoints and we're entitled to our belief and act accordingly. No problem so far. However the problem is when one group tries to impose their viewpoint/belief on their opponents. Should you try to impose your viewpoint/belief on me? and how hard or to what extend should you do so? that is where conflicts take start... Now that I understand your last paragraph my only question regarding it is: are you saying 1) post whatever you want to your heart's content Billy, just hide your tracks well and don't get caught, or 2) the consequence of getting caught is severe so you better off not posting and risking it? that's the only part that I'm not sure of. I would appreciate one more clarifying response but this will be my last post on the subject. By the way, best wishes to you in 2001! |
