I've come across a word whose translation is not available on AltaVista...the word is "lenocidio" Since I'm a big fan of Mexican comics, I've come across this "disclaimer" several times on the covers of comics dealing with stories about prostitution... I translate this to mean: "Prostitution is not a crime but "lenocidio", it certainly is!" So, I looked the word up in Google and came up with a legal site in Spanish that says: CAPITULO II Si la persona explotada fuere menor de dieciséis años de edad la pena se aumentará hasta en una mitad." I translate this to mean: He that exploits commercial flesh (comercio carnal)of another, one that maintains (mantenga)this commerce (may mean a "house of prostitution")or obtains (obtenga)from this way (modo) any benefit (beneficio cualquiera), administers or sustains (adminsters or supports ..."sostenga" = supports, as in to sustain...)places (lugares) that exploit prostitution will be impounded (impondra)in prison for six months to six years...and 50 of 400 days fine (?)... If the person exploited was a minor of 16 years, the penalty (pena) increases (aumnetara) until a half (?)...I don't quite understand that "half" part, unless it means penalties are increased by 50 percent... Any abogados bilingual out there?....O expertos?
