If these are the problems, the answers are to get minors out of the business, clear the street girls if they are creating problems for the city, and regulate or monitor the activity more closely, not just shut it down. I agree minors should not be allowed anywhere near the zona. And they should stop money from getting to the cartels. But they could monitor ownership of the bars the way the U.S. monitors ownership of gambling casinos, so the bad guys don't get in. Are AB and CC and the other bars owned by the cartels?? I thought the cartels made their money importing drugs. A lot of the chicas have purchased houses for their families and provide other essentials with their zona money. Literally thousands of girls go through the zona every year. Now they want to shut them down? Where will the replacement income come from for these girls? And all for an activity that is otherwise innocent between consenting adults? And as far as I can tell shouldn't be anybody else's business. I'm not saying this is a good and wholesome activity for a girl, but obviously many of them have thought about it and decided they're going to do it for the money, at least for a while. Obviously, if Fox starts interfering with our ability to get tail, his popularity will plummet, at least on this board ;-) He may also lose quite a bit of support from others in Mexico. Yes, stop the cartels, but leave our tang alone! Frankly, if they really want to shut it down, it will not be hard to do. Just make it illegal and start arresting gringos. Makes PRI look pretty damn good, don't it?
