people generally do stay within their culture - you as an anthropologist would know the percentages but i'm sure it's close to 100%, even when given the opportunity. However we do know of several cases of US/Mexican matches, either with white males or Asian American males.

The females working in the zona (Adelitas, CC) become very 'Americanized', ie. cell phones, shopping at Dorians, nannies for the kids, private schools. This is not the typical maquiladora worker, so the possibility of them pairing up with someone at the same socioeconomic level is much higher than your typical female TJ resident.
