I met a guy at the bar at AB on Thursday. We drank and talked for a couple of hours. He was visiting TJ for the first time (from Ohio on business). He said he was having a great time. He told me he had driven his car to a parking lot nearby. I told him that was his first mistake. I told him that US licsensed cars are targets. I think that made him nervous. A few minutes after I told him that he said he had to leave. I gave him my calling card that has my e-mail address on it. The next day he e-mailed me to say that on his way out of La Zona he was stopped by the cops. They said because he was drunk and did not have Mexican insurance the fine would be $200. The cops asked him to follow them to the police station. They obviously just drove in circles and then stopped. He then made a deal to pay the "fine" to the cops. It cost him $100.
