Well, after several months of reading this board and others, but being too far away geographically to do anything about it, I finally was able to make my first Zona sojourn last night. I spent a few hours at AB, and all those "Disneyland" and "kid in a candy store" analogies I've heard are indeed appropriate. It didn't take long for a cutie named Isela to claim my TJ virginity. More on that in a forthcoming trip report. Afterwards, I went back down in the bar for over an hour and just kind of took in the whole scene. What an assault on the senses. It's even more so than I imagined. And Monday night is supposed to be the slowest night? I do want to mention one small, negative thing... when I flagged down a cab in front of AB, the cabbie quoted me the normal $5. When we got to the border area, he pulled a switcheroo and demanded $6. Tonight, I'm walking right past those AB cabbies and catching one in front of CC, like I've read here previously. Live and learn. I'll stop here for now. A trip report is upcoming, but I'm in SD till Friday, and this trip will have much more to report on. :)
