"I live in L.A. where I've hardly ever met a girl who doesn't acknowledge lesbian fantasies. I doubt the physiology is any different in TJ, but the culture is." My brother E., all due respects (you know I luv ya, mufucka!), we ain't talkin' about a physical reality (lesbian attraction) and a cultural perversion of that (Mexican heterosexism) here. It's about one cultural thang (Mexican heterosexism) vs. another cultural thang (US homosexual-friendly sexual culture). It ain't that Mexicanas are more 'suppressed' or something than American girls, that they don't give in to the 'natural' impulse to do lesbian shit because Mexican culture stifles 'em, IMO--American girls just get a real different cultural message about all this--btw, they also get a different cultural message 'bout lotsa other RELATED thangs in my view (like, wearin' pants all the time and not bein' inta dressin' feminine, not likin' doors opened for 'em, preferrin' workin' to housewifery, talkin' 'bout sexual harassment everytime a brother even say "Damn, girl, you look fine!", etc.), and alla that stuff is why I at least vastly prefer Latinas. I suppose dat makes me a male chauvinist pig--OINK! But I like cultures that is clear about the diffs. between boys and girls, and the US is a lot murkier on that than Mexican culture is. It will be a sign of a great deal of negative change from this brother's perspective when it becomes a lot easier to find mexicanas who will do lesbian stuff--I hope it don't happen, frankly, but I am VERY afraid... |
