Ritmo, you might be surprised (though its tough to see how an insighful guy like you would be missing this)...anyhow, you might be surprised at how many of these latinas will fess up to bisexual fantasies if you probe and cajole gently with a twinkle of acceptance in the eye. It's there, but they are trained to be real careful about who they give it up to.

I can get with you on the edges of your points about US lesbians, but in my experience, your point (girls who wanna be like men and I'll add also, girls who can't deal with men) mainly applies to women who lead very active lesbian and bi-sexual lifestyles. But for the majority of U.S. women, it's more of a fantasy to be indulged on infrequent occasions...they retain their femininity and their primary interest in men. In other words, pretty much as Trinity is presenting herself (and my amiga too who will be showing Smith the best time of her life in a couple of weeks). You're right, the popular cultural signals are telling them that it's cool to have these fantasies, but outside a few major coastal metropolises, it ain't cool to be butch.

I also agree that the latinas are more feminine, but that doesn't mean that U.S. women aren't feminine. An educated, affluent, equal opportunity, career oriented society is gonna blur alot of distinctions between people, so some of the femininity falls off the gals and some of the macho falls off the boys. I'm figuring you don't want to turn back the clock on that equal opportunity stuff (but I know many others here would :-)).

The flip side of this is the TV/TS scene on Revo. Gay mexican men are so deeply repressed as you can imagine in Macho Mexico, that doing the cross dressers is the prescription they need to make the denial work. Of course U.S. has got this scene too (and many repressed gay males), but I doubt you could find an openly male gay prostitute in TJ. Don't think there'd be a market.
