...they are doing away with seizing vehicles? In a local paper just a few weeks ago there was a long article about how the local cops ARE seizing vehicles of people who pick up workmen on the street corners, and who then turn out to be here illegally. (Note that this is one of the California communities that passed a law making it illegal to negotiate with a workman on a public street or sidewalk - a law which has recently been ruled unconstitutional. This is the local cops way of dealing with THAT defeat.)
