I understand your sentiment completely. I posted something last year comparing the chicas in TJ to a "House of Mirrors" where nothing is what it seems to be. It wasn't a condemnation of the chicas as much as a recognition that one of the axioms of their work is creating an illusion for the customer. When creating the illusion becomes second nature, it's really difficult to deal with the woman on a personal level because you never know if what you're seeing is "real" in any meaningful way. And when there's no trust, there's no relationship.

This is not always true, of course, but seems especially true of women who've worked there for some time. I've also discovered that while a part of me dislikes this "dishonesty" in the chicas, a part of me is drawn to the excitement and danger of always being off-balance, at the edge of the envelope, and never really knowing exactly where you stand or what's happening. It makes the game more nuanced and adds spice and unpredictability to the experience.
