RT here.
I've been going back and forth about suggesting adding a 'like' feature for some time... today I am for it.
There are times where someone makes a really good post, and I want to tell the poster that, but I would feel stupid just posting, "Great Post, Portege" (or whoever).
I know that I wouldn't want to have to read through a bunch of comments that said 'great post', that's for sure.

I forgot to mention in the timezone suggestion, but any development in the Discus section (this section where this message is being posted) would be a major development because the Discus software is not written by me. It's actually written in a language (Perl) that I have not done any work with in over 10 years. A workaround is possible, but it would be a major effort.
Most of the rest of CH is custom, and you can tell by the difference in how it appears such as the table organization, color coding, post/photo counts, etc...
A possible workaround for this might involve a manual insertion (by me or HombreJR) of code into a report, but that would only allow one to "Like" a report (or member, photo, etc...) but not individual posts. The "Likes" would then appear on the various report listings, but not on individual posts or even the report itself (although a second workaround might be possible for the latter).
But, as just posted in the Suggestion Box announcement, there are a number of other developments along with a server move that will push almost any other developments that are more than a simple fix into March or April 2012 at the earliest.
